I adore this song! As a married person I understand this a little bit differently than the majority of comments I’ve seen that say someone should love and accept you exactly like you are and that’s it. I am able to completely be myself with my spouse BUT I also allow them to tell me the truth when they see something wrong, let them correct me, guide me in areas they have more wisdom in and so on. And my spouse lets me do the same. Yes, you can absolutely be yourself but it’s a responsibility to always evolve and grow and not remain on the same level.

Seriously… this person is telling you that he/she is completely self-observed to the point that no one else matters beyond what they can be for this person. Your encouragement and support will lead to someone else’s pain and suffering! If this is a song from Christ’s perspective, I believe He would tell you that He knows you… as you are… that He loves you and would again die for you as you are…. But He would also remind you of the 2 greatest commandments, to Love God with all your heart and soul… and to love others as yourself… to deny yourself and carry your cross… and your cross, your load is that which weighs you sown, holds your back, it is your suffering. Please seek help for your detachment of others. Please seek help for your psychopathic tendencies. Please seek help for making amends to the people you have injured and protect those in your life from the injuries you are capable of inflicting. The song basically says no matter what you think is wrong with you or what you're going through, you can come to God for help and he sees you as perfect. But keep it mind that the Bible also says to love others as yourself, and to be a light for others. You will find people who love you as a Christian and people who hate you, but you have to realize that God wants you to shine bright and that you can do that no matter what you're going through.
