Pretty amazing that the foundation of hip hop was started by young men/women and kids. I mean, for example, Rock Steady Crew were a bunch of teenagers and contributed huge to the development of hip hop. These guys all were true innovators. Today's rappers/producers need to pay their respect to the old school.

It's interesting you mention hip-hop outside of NYC in '82. Our pops passed a couple days after new years in '82 and so his/our family thought it would be a good idea to pitch in and fly us all from the south Bronx to east l.a. It was a different world! Our own family didn't know what to make of us. They were not hip-hop friendly. We went back in 86' and they loved us all of sudden.

Stop with the foolishness yes the Bronx is the Mecca of Hip Hop but all of NY was dressing like that back in the late 70s and the 80s. Im from Strong Island Ny 💪 the home of Rakim Public Enemy EPMD Dela Soul Freedie Foxx Biz Markie Grand Daddy IU Leaders of the New School Keith Murray K Solo and even on the ghetto suburbs of Long Island we were dressing like that And Queens like all parts of NY got it's influence from the Boogie Down Bronx when it came to Hio Hip but stop with the foolishness that all of Queens got it Style from the Bronx because as dope as these Hip Hop God father's like Double Trouble were Queens like Strong Island took Hip Hop to another level with all the Iconic acts they spit out In my estimation Queens and Long Island have spit out some of the most ionic acts during the Golden Era of Hip Hop . But we do owe the Bronx for this thing I grew up loving on Strong Island Ny 💪 called Hip Hop. But stop with the foolishness of comparing Double Trouble with the ground breaking ionic group Run DMC who are the Kings from Queens and got a Endorsment deal with Adidas and we're first rap video on MTV.
