Wild Rivers is back! Orange County has a brand-new, world-class waterpark just 10 minutes from Disneyland!
We're here to check it out. All the slides, the food, the lazy river and wave pool, and even the massive rain fortress kids' area.

For more than 30 years, the original Wild Rivers waterpark in Irvine, CA was a big part of so many people's summers (including ours).
Unfortunately, they closed the old park in 2011, and for more than a decade the plans for a new park seemed to go nowhere. But in 2020 an agreement was reached and last summer the brand-new park opened, albeit incomplete.
But construction is now finished, and all attractions are open, so come with us for an exciting day in this impressive, family-friendly waterpark!

Thank you! It looked like some people were keeping their hats on, but the ride attendants will probably tell you to remove it. Either way, have fun!

My 2 favorites were Bora Bora Boomerango and Tortuga, but honestly, we enjoyed them all. Hope you have a blast!

One of my favorite water slides that I've been on is like a body version of Tiki's Revenge. You pick up a lot of speed going into the "toilet bowl" and then it's the luck of the draw whether you get dumped into the catch pool feet first or head first. I also really like the Tornado at Hurricane Harbor, that's basically a super sized "funnel" slide with 4 riders.

Do you remember the name of that slide or what park it's at? We're hoping to go to either Hurricane Harbor or Knott's Soak City this summer. Any advice on which is better?

@@lucasterradostuff I forget the name of the slide but it was at the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells (was the world's biggest indoor water park at one time). Hurricane Harbor has a lot more water slides to choose from, but Knott's has the famous chicken dinner and some pretty good roller coasters in the main park too. It's your call.
Great video! So glad to see this awesome park is operational again! I wish The Edge and The Ledge were still around though, those were some gnarly slides!

Thank you! There does appear to be a few sections of unutilized land that the park could theoretically add more slides in the future. We'll see if they choose to bring back anything from the old park.

Lucas, thanks for the heads up about the “rule” about taking my hat and sunglasses off! What an amazingly stupid rule, totally agree. I love wearing my hat and shades also. Im going tomorrow, im wearing my stuff on!🤙🇺🇸👍

You're welcome. Yeah, I don't get it, personally. Must be a liability thing for them or something. A bunch of people left theirs on. Also, they said if you have a strap for your glasses, they could stay on. I followed the rule, mainly because we were making a video and I didn't want to possibly get kicked out. Have fun tomorrow!

Yes, they had a person collecting parking $ at the entrance to the lot
