Already miss the wild beast of a roller coaster, nothing like being thrown around on the best Wild mouse in the world. No other Mouse will ever come close to the epicness of this coaster classic.

The one at Morecambe was just as good imo infact i actually think it was better. Was terrifying at the very top with those turns.

Went on this about 35 years ago Steve. I think I've still got the bruises!

psyclonesteve A little? A little? Hahahaha. More like a lot. Thought this mouse had broke my ankle but just badly bruised, never rode it again. That was my first ride on it and also my last ride on it.

It was Steve's favorite ride.

This one was the scariest I swear I felt like dying omg

I went on this about 45 years ago now when I was about 5 years old with my dad. I stood up when I shouldn't have and got knocked out by one of the wood beams. My dad had to hold me in his arms until the end and he thought I was dead.

I Remember this this Ride with such Fondness and yet how i never broke my neck i do not know....Loved it.

Oh my god, I remember it, it went like shit and you thought you were going to die and there were no sides. I'm surprised nobody crashed or jumped off in fear of death

Worlds greatest ride demolished for a new roller coaster that may well be a record breaker but it wont be the exhilarating bone shaker that the Wild mouse was, there isnt a ride in the world that compared to this. Such a shame to loose it.

You have obviously not been on an RMC or a Giggir coaster or any woddie like El toro or Ghost rider but the mouse was a good ride and icon is good to for different reasons

Pause at 2:37 I remember thinking "Why arent we slowing down for this corner".. and then "Oh shit im falling out".

Blackpool's Greatest Woodie ! ? !

My all time favourite coaster-such a classic that should remain for many years to come. Just want to ask-where do they store the different cars when they are not on the circuit?

RIP WILD MOUSE 1957-2018

Wooden Wild Mouse Coaster 1 looks too intense for me!

For all its terrors - this ride at least has never resulted in the amputation of someone's leg in its half-a-century of history. A proper ride, with the bruising power of a game of rugby. Nothing more than that. Excellent ride - that everyone should go on. (But brace your legs against the sides - not straight in front)

And if you ride on your own you're going to spend most of the time on the floor on your back!

One of the scariest wooden coasters ever! Were the park ok with the GoPro filming then? Haven't filmed at Blackpool for many years but might be time to revisit if they are ok with GoPros on the rides.

***** I wasn't riding, as you know but Lauren took the GoPro on a couple of the rides and nobody said anything to her. They seem a lot more friendly up there and don't keep snapping at you apparently but I wouldn't like to say a definite Yes or No ! If they don't like it I'm sure they will soon tell you to stop filming.

***** If I did try it I will have the camcorder / GoPro on open display, so if the ride operators say No then I don't film. Not worth the hassle.

A good ride often will hurt a bit depending on how fast you go,but of lube before hand may help

+immakidbruh the other classic mouse was Runaway Mine Train atFrontierland, Morecambe, check out my Frontierland video, I'm sure it was more aggresive than the Blackpool Mouse, great shame it's no longer around !

It's removed from da park now

Do it last - after you've done Icon. Then you won't be injured for the rest of the day (usually bruised legs/knee or broken cocykcxx ... nothing major). You WILL avoid most of the worst injuries if you brace your legs and arms against the side of the car.

No the wild mouse isn't great. I went on it with my sister once and it went berserk round the corners, thought the thing had broke my ankle.
