Speaking of keeping things short, I really wish that these videos were about twice as long - there's so much beautiful crafting detail that it's a crying shame that what we see of the creative process is rushed through at almost breakneck speed. Please BHT, don't edit out so much, make them longer! 🙂 (even if that means some 'dead air' when you're not talking).

In Queensland I've seen towers disguised as palm trees, like a king palm. Also: the Citadel crackle paints tend to come in pairs - the grainy one does smaller cracks, the goopy one does bigger cracks. Painting them over a gloss varnish really helps the cracks open up on bases.

Great work as always, Boylei! Your Wild Imaginary West is always fascinating! You 'surgery' on the figure isn't all that "controversial;" just refreshingly "Old School." No less a modeler than Sheperd "Shep" Paine gave the same advice on his Diorama Tip Sheets that came with many Monogram kits in the mid 1970's when he suggested cutting figures apart with a razor saw and "swapping" parts to create new poses. (We didn't have 3D Printing back in the day, after all . . . .) Thanks for sharing this with us! 21st like.

I work at a western movie set called Old Tucson. We have a water tower that is actually a cell phone tower. In order to mask it for filming, they made it look like a water tower (it's a bit skinny, but it works). Great video!

Hey Boylei! Big fan! Long time listener first time caller here. I've discovered a great technique that I'd like to share with you for cracked earth effect. Dry wall plaster filler/crack or gap filler mixed with plaster of paris. Experiment with the mix for different sizes of cracks. Plaster absorbs the moisture from the filler and creates the cracks. Love your work!

Can you do a project with a group of medieval knights walking out of a portal created by a western mad scientist and fighting off a group of outlaws riding tamed bipedal alligators? At high noon of course.

its a small thing, but i really appreciate how positively you spoke about the saguaro (which is typically pronounced without a g sound btw). theyre probably the most famous cacti despite only being native to one area, but a lot of cacti in general get overlooked, so it still makes me happy to hear them talked abt. arid and semi arid climates are underappreciated in general imo (so tired of the desert = wasteland idea). loving how this world is coming along btw
