Wild China: Pandas - Living With Giants | Panda Documentary | Natural History
Beginning with a touching scene where a young village boy rescues an injured Panda, this program examines the efforts being made by the Chinese people and scientists to save Giant Pandas. An explanation of the animals life-cycle begins with extraordinary and rare footage of the birth of a panda. It shows the natural history of pandas including its endangered species status, where it lives and why it's threatened, the other animals that are its relatives, and its peculiar diet which consists almost entirely of bamboo.

I think 🐼 are lovely by nature. They trust humans! That injured 🐼 allowed the old man to sew his wound and ate bamboos comfortably. Amazing!
God bless this family, they are so kind and the boy and panda are so cute
God bless the grandpa and the grandson ! This documentary is very touching .
These really made me cry, my sympathy to the panda and the child learned to love it, possibilities should be done.. and that is love and care they shared together...
Great documentary. Love the story of rescuing and releasing giant panda Yaoyuan. Love the scene that Lin was sewing up Yaoyuan’s wounds while he’s munching on bamboo.
Nagyszerű emberek vagytok! Csodás, amit a pandákért tesztek. A pandák a szeretet maga a Földön. You are great people! What you are doing for the pandas is great. Pandas are love itself on Earth.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Beautiful panda, beautiful mountains, beautiful story and beautiful people. Watching this 20 years old footage during the pandemic gives me hope.

30 years later they meet again . The grandson tend panda at research center zio now and his friend was taken away in 1993 by government. Now at age equal to human age 70 they reunited but unrecognized. A long reunion like the lion cup elephant cub and gorilla baby story. Don’t know if staged because 1990 village can’t vlog

This is awesome that the narrator referred to the ancestors and distant relatives of giant pandas too.
End of Feb 2023 - LinLin would be an adult now. I wonder if he has followed his grandfather's footsteps and is working in the mountains to protect animals, in particular the giant pandas.
I wish I had PANDA as my friend??? The story of a boy and his grand father encountering panda was really heart touching.

I want a panda friend too :P what amazing creatures
I just love the relationship of the grandfather and grandson. They literally have nothing and yet everything at the same time growing up in nature and having a panda come into their lives. The pandas featured were so accepting of humans transporting, feeding and living among them. They weren’t just pets the people really cared for them like family members 🐼🐾🐾

Wonderful video. I enjoyed it very much. Thanks for sharing.
I really enjoyed watching this. Even though it's very old documentary, it's still very touching.❤
this is really old. now the surviving rate is much higher... rarely die under right human care. Also they created much much better environment for pandas. It is also improving all the time. Although the destroying rate went higher through out the years... There is only 9 natural areas panda can live in the wild.
I SERIOUSLY NEED PANDA.

I have to say, minus the panda, this reminds me so much about my own relationship with my grandfather. He is such a great man, a fantastic inspiration, teacher, historian, mentor. I can see so much of it in the boy and his grandfather in this video. Even though we are thousands of kilometers and many many years apart from each other, we still have one thing in common above all else - we love and would do anything for our grandfather. Amazing video!

Thank you for such a wonderful documentary. It was very informative
Amazing story.
It is amazing, How we as Human species have put so many efforts in preserving them. From understanding their food, trying to get a bacteria to help them digest it, help them mate, help them understand mating and so much more. These creatures are not only cute, they are beyond cute. They are extremely adorable and more lovable than any animal I have seen. Hope we find more nutritious and calorie rich food for them and help them become independent. Hope we also find a solution to their low libido and extremely short mating period.. . . P.S - I think China should let the whole world grow and nurture Panda, and not treat them like they are just their property. Develop science and let other countries learn and grow this species.

You are right about global joint research on protection of the species and that's exactly what has been trying in recent decades. However, giant pandas have huge appetites (about 40-60kgs of bamboo every day) and are extremely picky on their diet, they only eat fresh bamboo of certain types in southwestern China. So food has to be transported by air and feeding them in other parts of the world will be extremely expensive. That's why there are not so many zoos in the world or research programs has enough fund to raise them.
If you actually watch the whole things. you will cry just like me :'(

Just the panda 🐼 could make as to where they were in the zoos and then back again in the wild !! They love to be 20 years old !! In the wild I've watched diffrent things about them PBS and Red China and how they're raised in a Chinese Nursey where there is a compound where the veterinarian keeps an eye on them and other veterinarians just Learning and others who just started !! And with there care they live to be 35 yrs old. I Thought that was very interesting!! Their are more than 1,600 panda's left !! They sure eat alot of Bamboo, 40 lbs a day !! They eat that for 14 hrs and sleep 10 hrs !! That was something I did not know !! Panda's are a beautiful bear !! The man and his Grandson were also very interesting to watch !! He just loves his grandson 💙 that would be a very interesting movie to watch !!

Maybe pandas would breed better if there would be tire country side village where everyone has panda as pet, they would have dignity as they see themself as honourable citizen. They need some activity to boost their hormones and zoos cant do it. We should just breed them to size of 10-50 kg and make them pets so one day we have as many pandas in the world as cats.
