Creating a native aquascape with what we can find at a Scottish loch. The other week I went on camping trip with some friends to loch Tummel. So I decided to take a fish tank along and create another wild aquarium!

I would definitely recommend giving it a go. Unfortunately no, that Loch Ness is quite a bit away from this loch 😂

Thank you so much! I am thinking of doing a native tank soon! Stickle backs would be perfect I think 👌 I’m not well versed in U.K. fish species but a lot of them would grow too big for a tank haha! I’ve got a spare 200 litre so might have a go!

Fishkeepingmadeeasy stickleback was EXACTLY my train of thought 👌🏼 I’m also interested in breeding them to try and bring out more Blue strains, I feel like it would be a good project. Love the ecosphere and wildscape vids. Keep it up!
It would have been cool if you netted up some local species to display in it and then released them after videos and pictures! Neat idea though.

We did that in the last wild aquascape because there were loads of fry about but couldn’t see much in this loch, but next time I will definitely try and add some fish and discuss some of the local species
