Good description of the ride quality improvements. I had very similar results after I installed the Legends on my Ultra.

Your impressions of the Wilbers seem pretty much spot on with mine. I previously rode a 2014 Limited that I had: 1) stock air adjustable suspension; 2) 13 inch H-D hand adjustable Showa upgrade suspension with H-D Showa cartridge front; 3) custom built by Ohlins HD 159 model S36DR1L suspension with H-D Showa cartridge front;; 4) Wilbers Nivomat suspension. On that bike, without a doubt, the Ohlins suspension with H-D Showa cartridge front was the best handling, best riding suspension of the 4 combinations. That said, I was extremely impressed with the Wilbers suspension. It performed very nearly the same as the Ohlins set up but didn't require the 15 minute setup ritual to change from 1-up to 2-up riding settings of the Ohlins which definitely justified the expense of the Wilbers for me. My '23 Low Rider ST has been upgraded from the stock rear suspension to the H-D Ohlins rear suspension instead of Wilbers because my ST will remain a 1-up bike. Since the Ohlins has an easily adjustable preload (along with all the additional adjustments) I firmly believe its' the right choice for my riding style/preferences. I do plan to update the front end to the H-D Ohlins setup next season as funds & opportunity allows. Thanks for the great channel & vids on your Low Rider ST. Dave

You can’t go wrong with Wilber’s. They are the best. I fully agree with your going to the taller risers too. I ended up trading my low rider st for a road glide, I was leaned forward with 6.5 inch thrashin risers and bars. Reminded me of my wide glide. Loved the bike for short runs and especially the weight, when I rode the road glide it felt as light as my low rider st and felt faster. Plus the seating position was much more comfortable. Something to think about ……

It's so unusual to hear someone saying HD stock suspension is pretty good😁 I guess in Europe nobody would agree. Anyway, I recommend You scrapping these bloody tyres and swapping them to Metzelers or Avons. Than You'll see full performance of new suspension. These Scorchers mess up a bit there. They're better for a tractor.

I did some 10s on my road glide bc I’m short af (5’10” is short af these days I guess) Same thing Hunched over Those 10” BAR AND RISER set ups .. perfect .. .. or 12-14” meathooks or whatever…. Way better Sucks bc I don’t got the money to change it I can deal wit the hunch but its not fantastic Sucks when u can’t try something first .. either of those other setups way more comfy for me.

G’day Sandy, how is the comfort on rougher roads compared to stock? I have a crook back and trying to prolong my riding years and haven’t been able to find much on the Wilbers Nivomat comfort wise on the Soft Tails compared to stock. My last bike had Legend air shocks which were pretty good but more expensive than Wilber’s.

Pretty convinced that most cruisers have garbage suspension. And you really don’t realize it till you change it. There are a few exceptions out there. My R18 is pretty dialed but my Triumph Speedmaster is pretty Meh. All my Harley’s were horrible.

Pretty easy to spend a lot more than that for a fully adjustable suspension like Ohlins. I've got over $3500 in my Big Bear Performance 29mm cartridges and Ohlins 14" rear mono-shock, could have spent more depending what combo I went with. And it's been one of the best modifications to the FXLRST. Suspension is one of the most important parts of a motorcycle, and stock just doesn't cut it.
