Amazing back in 2015, still perfection in 2024

Almost 5 years later. After everything I’ve been through and everything I’ve played, this is still my favorite game of all time. Playing it for the first time in years felt absolutely amazing. One of the only games I’d give a 10/10

I miss this game so much. It was the first 3d rpg I’ve ever played and it’s the best jrpg I know to this date. I’m so happy I randomly got the special version with the steel- and artbook back then for Christmas.

@@alessiocece2098 I personally wouldn't give anything 10/10 because that means there can be no improvement. Nothing's perfect. That said, I understand that's a bit nitpicky. With X I'd detract bits for how obtuse the descriptions are for buffs with most giving no context, the sound mixing in cutscenes making it hard to hear the voices over the music fairly frequently, how hidden enemies will always aggro regardless of level and an enemy spotting you kills all momentum, how hopeless it is to manage your equipment inventory, how you are forced to have Elma and Lyn in your party most of the time but the fourth slot is sometimes filled with dead weight making who you'd rather be there under leveled, how the ai is hopeless about pinning an enemy in a skell. I'm sure I can come up with a few more given time, but you get the point. These keep the game from being perfect, but still isn't nearly enough to drag it down. It's a great game but I can't agree with calling it perfect.

I actually just got this game on Saturday for 15$ used because I really loved Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and wanted something new to do as I'm waiting for Smash. I'm sad I didn't get this game before. I'm loving it to far.

Maybe we have seen enough to know we want it but it's not about us; it's about people who are on the fence about it or don't even know about it who are tuning into the E3 video because it's a big annual event.

Makoto Mikami yet more ppl talk/play/ and care more about smash. MK8 200cc dlc was cool for about a week and now ppl just go back to 150cc. Bunch animal crossing characters yet ppl still only use metal mario and link. sure MK8 sold more but its hardly a game thts saving the wii u anymore.

lmao Monolith is going crazy working on BOTW2. I'm calling it, we're gonna get a Xenoblade 3 and the Definitive Edition of Xenoblade X on the switch pro pretty soon

This game NEEDS to be ported to Switch it deserves! Come, Nintendo! Do a remaster (change face animation/expressions) because all the rest is amazing and on point A must buy !

I loved this game so much on WiiU! It does deserve a Switch port/reimagining for far more people

JohnJay2142 I believe the voice acting have been at work at least a year ago. It's OK to be skeptical since there's no wrong or right answer, JohnJay. It should be done in just a few months from now... just in time for the December 4th launch.

-Xenoblade Chronicles 2 did REALLY well -Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition is set to do great -Other Monolith Soft games (Legend of Zelda Breath of The Wild, Splatoon 2 and Animal Crossing New Horizons) do AMAZINGLY WELL on switch. BOTW is in no way a Monolith Soft game. They merely helped. Nintendo did 95% of the actual work.

Xenoblade... any time something was going on in my life I just decided to play Xenoblade it took everything off of my mind with it's amazing, beautiful world, and possibly one of my favorite stories ever told! Chris King the game replaced ocarina of time as the best game i have ever played. the story, the different locations, the feelings between the characters. even the npc characters had stories and relationships between them. the battle system and upgrades......ITS THE BEST GAME EVER

You can tell NoA's team put this trailer together. Top notch quality that Japanese trailers (at least, Nintendo's Japanese trailers) never deliver. This is EASILY the best Xenoblade X trailer ever. Can't argue that.

Pheromone Only subjectively. The trailer appeals more to us because we're Western gamers. Nintendo of America knows what appeals to us, so they make trailers based on it. The Japanese trailers don't appeal to you because you aren't Japanese, and the trailer was made to appeal to them.

AmericanBuizel Not really. Nintendo of Japan has trailers of this game that appeals to Japanese people. This trailer won't interest Japanese gamers, at least not many, because it was made by Americans for Americans. I think Nintendo should make their games appeal more to us. America makes up most of their fanbase. Japan only makes up 25% of their fanbase. Nintendo should stop being all about Japan and appeal to their outside fanbase.

AmericanBuizel Um... KZread is your friend in that aspect buddy. Japanese trailers appeal to Japanese people because they were made for them. They really should appeal more to western gamers. Western gamers make up their biggest fanbase. I'm not saying this to say, "Waah! American needs more stuff!" I saying this from a business perspective. The amiibo situation isn't really Nintendo's fault. Everywhere else the amiibo situation is fine, but America has the worst scalpers so... They are taking efforts by limiting one amiibo per person, but that it's really helping.

If this game go to be in nintendo switch, I go to buy one.

It will most likely happen. There's a rumor of a Pokemon and Xenoblade port coming to Switch. I'd say wait until the Switch prrsentation in January and E3 2017. Xenoblade X didnt even surpass 1 million copies sold, so I think it can sell a few more copies on a portable

My god, Monolithsoft do incredible creature designs! The art direction in this game is off the freaking charts! I cannot wait for this! December though, oi.

This video wasn't attacked by the people crying over 1 minute of a game in alpha stage?. I'm impressed

Daniel San GMR Well it kinda was, but it's very minimal, I noticed a lot of the people salty about the direct have been disliking a lot nintendo's e3 videos even the good games shown, and they're especially disliking the metroid game.

Daniel San GMR People just had problems with its themes. I'm against it not for what it is really, but because 2016 is the 30th anniversary of metroid and we're getting a spinoff without samus present as a character. I know other people said it looked highly combat oriented and lost a lot of metroid themes, but i can't really judge it off that.

The graphics look cool

Make it available on Switch already. It's unbelievable

DeepSpaceVoid Unfortunately, like so many of the things they showed it has a December release; that's kind of top heavy and I'm sure it won't take more than a couple months to have a finalized translation. Not even an October release; it's December. What are you doing Nintendo? If the Japanese version ends up spoiling us outside of Japan, it'll kill the hype so badly. #GreatXenobladeLetdown #Facepalm

DeepSpaceVoid I been saying for over 6 months it would be delayed due to no zelda and they need a holiday money maker, a damn shame really. This was a sad e3. What kind of metroid game is that...also that star fox art style....ugh

a perfect example of how a sci fi action game should be. I look forward to getting this game.

The existence of this game confuses me. How is Nintendo making such an amazing, generation defining game while dropping the ball on just about everything else? This is arguably only the second console mover title (after smash) and it is coming out three years after the console?!

donfolstar Its from Monolith Soft. This boys and girls knows what they doing. Its the same with Xenoblade Chronicles. At the end of a console its never a good idea to bring the big titles.

+donfolstar We've had 3D World, Mario Kart 8 and Smash, at least, if we're listing solid titles designed to move systems, though I'm not sure if I'd class XCX as one anyway. Also, a huge JRPG of this magnitude takes time to develop. Be glad they didn't rush out a broken mess like some developers would.

***** I don't see how you could accuse them of riding nostalgia in this case as XCX is only the second game in the series. The reason why Nintendo often sticks to what works is because it sells, and that financial stability is what allows them to fund new ideas like Splatoon and The Wonderful 101, not to mention straight up surprising everyone with the likes of Super Mario Maker.

I'm loving the English voice acting in this game. Seriously though, I was hoping they would reveal who the voice actors were since they were being so secretive about it. E3 is the time to do it. And I was also hoping for a summer release. Oh well. Still excited about this game.

THIS. Make more games like THIS. Make a console Metroid game that has this much production value. A console Star Fox game with this caliber of attention to detail/great art. Console F-Zero, Fire Emblem, a Smash that plays like Melee. THIS do this Nintendo, and give us great 3rd party support. You guys really dropped the ball with what the Wii U could have been. Disappointed.

+WiiUPS360 Nintendo can't "give" you good 3rd party support if said 3rd parties refuse to play ball; they can't force them to release games on their systems if they don't want to, unless you feel threats are in order? Besides, Nintendo still have a ton of indie support, which are also 3rd parties anyway.

I finished this game last summer I and it is really challenging. I had a lot of research to do. While playing. And it's actually a really good game. If you have a Wii U and you don't have this game... Well why don't you have this game is the question.

The answer to your question is that not everyone likes Xenoblade. But don't worry I do.

That music is pure bliss... I want this now!!

This game seriously needs a sequel.
