Alright guys. Before you complain about how "That isn't a spear!", Spear is just to describe the weapon type! It IS a Deku Stick, but falls under the category of Spears. They aren't getting the names wrong.

Most of us who play DW games look at the names and go "Oh cool, I guess this weapon will get its original name eventually," and those who never played the games freak out like "OMG that's not its true name u guys suck." An inevitability, but oh well. Doesn't hurt to inform people either way, lol.

Sometimes I wonder if the people continuosly complaining about the weapon names, enemies not attacking etc. only come to the comment section to rage and never bother to check replys to their comments. -.-

I love how people are saying "just change her to Saria it's not that hard" To quote Sakurai "have you ever made a game?" Changing a character to another character would literally take months of work, they can't simply change something on a whim. If you want Lana to be Saria have fun waiting another 6+ months for the game to come out Plus I still think Saria going to be in the game anyways, who knows she might be announced during the direct today

Here comes the negative comments about Lana's "anime" like appearance and personality. Aside that, I find it an interesting choice for her to use such a weapon. Also, the way she rides on a Deku Sprout while holding out a Deku Sheild is awesome and hilarious! Definitely can't wait to give her a shot. XD

I loved Lana

Some 10+ videos and some Zelda fans STILL cannot be arsed to look up the basics of Dynasty Warriors or read the comments explaining the naming? For the nth time, weapons are put into different classes. These videos are showcasing the weapon class (Sword, Harp, Baton, spear, etc) and the characters who primarily use them. Yeah, that's a deku stick outfitted as a spear, but the CLASS of the weapon falls into Spear. You'll get more than 1 spear. Please Understand.

I don't get why they just didn't use saria for this move set

Out of ALL the characters I've seen so far, it seems like Lana has by far the most interesting variety and man does her moves look cool. I got to hand it to these guys, if they're trying to sell original characters to us alongside those from the LoZ series... THIS IS HOW IT'S DONE!

You can tell that the good Warriors composers were having a field day with the music of this game. They were probably saying, "Yes! I get to do official Zelda remixes," and had a ball.

I'm glad that the reception for Lana's new weapon has been positive so far. God, I still remember when Lana was first announced, everyone was losing their frickin mind about how "this blue hair anime chick was ruining the Legend of Zelda" or "wow, Nintendo, way to appease to weaboos you nerds" *groan* Now that months have passed and the Hyrule Warriors feature trailer came out, I think people are starting to understand that Lana is a welcome addition to the Hyrule Warriors cast lol

She just keeps getting hotter

The comments about Hyrule Warriors are getting very dumb "Omg Lana is so generic" The game isn't out yet and you hate her? She's a new character, give her a chance at least! "Huu it's a deku stick, not a spear duh" Weapons are named with their categories, not their real names, it just depends on the character "Oh nooo Saria isn't in this game, it sucks" It's a new franchise, not a new Zelda game, it's obvious that they need new characters to give an identity to the game (Sorry for the english)

I think she's saying "sore" in Japanese. it's like.....idk the exact translation or meaning but "sore" leads to something like "here!"

Constantly complaining that they're calling it a spear & not a stick. Talk about nitpicky! (Obviously never played a Dynasty Warriors game otherwise they would know about "Weapon Rankings")... The Zelda fanbase is right up there with the Sonic fanbase as far as i'm concerned. . . . . So very annoying.

Weapons in the Dynasty Warriors series have different rankings, the lowest rankings having simple names like iron sword or whatever. The names get fancier with each ranking. I personally wouldn't be surprised if "Deku Spear" is one of the rankings this type of weapon gets at some point. Same with Zelda's baton eventually reaching Wind Waker as a name.

It technically isn't a song, because a song is sung (heavy emphasis on that word) and therefor, has lyrics. But you're right, that music is good. Maybe they'll release the soundtrack.

To people complaining about Lana This is a crossover of Zelda and Dynasty Warriors, the latter contributing the main gameplay style. There's nothing wrong with having just one character as a representative of the actual series this stems from.

That.... is not a spear... it's a Deku Stick made into a staff. A lot f the weapons in this game refuse to acknowledge their real names from the games they're in which is strange and makes no sense.

They're naming the weapons by the weapon type as they're upgradeable, it will have it's actual name in the game.

Yeah, but the weapon customization means you can have, for instance, multiple Batons. Last I checked, only one Wind Waker existed.

Adam Rhodes This game isn't canon, though. I personally see nothing wrong with there being multiple Wind Wakers. BUT! The DW weapons' final ranking is usually just one weapon that can only be obtained just one way, and repeating that process will give no rewards. So the possibility of the Wind Waker being the highest rank and being unable to get more than one is there. These final rank weapons typically cannot be customized, either. We'll see once the game is out, though!

I really hope this game will have a dominate the zones kinda thing in online team multiplayer

Wonder if they will add the Oracles Din, Farore, and Nayru from the Game Boy Colour games as characters. They each have some good designs and they have a lot of potential for move sets since they each represent a major essence in the Zelda Universe (Power, Courage, and Wisdom respectfully).

Once again, the trailer calls the weapon something other than what it is, but here's a thought: I don't remember where, but I heard that weapons in this game can be upgraded. Maybe once you upgrade the spear, the game starts calling it a Deku Stick. Similarly, the Wind Waker is an upgraded Baton, the Master Sword is an upgraded One-Handed Sword, etc.

That's how weapon rankings/upgrades work in 95% of DW games and DW spin-offs. The names the trailers use for the weapons are the names of the weapon types, not the specific weapon in the videos.

Lana is now officially my top favourite female video game character crush. WHY IS THE MUSIC SO F$%KING AWSOME!!!!!

This week a bit of negative news emerged that Hyrule Warriors will only support local co-op, not online; we'd already known about the local option, in that it was shown off that one players uses the TV while another utilises the GamePad screen. It's a neat feature, though time will tell whether the already modest framerate - at least from our experience with the game to date - suffers in this mode. Online content is expected through Miiverse and possibly some special battle options, but there's some consternation that friends can't hook up online and play through the campaign together.

this is the first Dynasty Warriors game where i want to play with every single character.Nintendo has a instant hit with this game.they can make as many Hyrule Warriors games they want there is no end to Legend of Zelda characters.

I was really hoping for Makar as a playable character, but if Lana has the Deku Leaf I think the chances are pretty low (that and his violin are the only weapons I could think of him using). Maybe there's still hope for Medli, though.

You know, for a spear, she's pretty damn badass with it.
