I did this once by accident not knowing what I was doing or that there was a button. When I tried to do it again I mustn’t have been doing it right because I tried to do it again and it didn’t work. Thank you for making this video so now I know

Brooooo... I was messing around with a friend when I was little and we tried to get as little pins down but still get the bowlingball too the end.... I went all the way to the side and (probably) did what he just did by accident and I would have questioned my sanity if my buddy wasn't also there to witness all the pins randomly dropping 😭😭 thank you for solving that childhood mystery.

The reason this strikes me as a debug tool is because it allows you to reliably get a strike repeatedly and stress test and skip the gameplay. And knowing Nintendo and their past work, it's definitely in character for them to put this much stylization into a debug tool.
