i lost over half my hair after a tough battle with an eating disorder and, even now that im healthy and nourished, it's still falling out and isn't growing back. i never thought losing hair could be as traumatic and scary as it has been. brushing my hair and just feeling so many stands falling out and having to see my hair in the drain in the shower has been really difficult. i didnt know i was so emotionally attached to my hair. i've been wanting to try wigs for about a couple years now but my heart stops when i see the prices. this wig is stunning and i would kill to be able to afford one. it sucks that these things have to be so pricey and if you dont have the money, youre just out of luck. i've got crazy wig-envy watching this haha. hopefully one day i'll have a wig so i can actually follow the tutorial :) but for now, i'll just keep watching and lusting haha! 💗

I am currently going through immunotherapy treatments for stage 3 cancer and I was told there was only a 2 % chance I would get alopecia areata. It’s not officially diagnosed yet but I have patches all over my head and every day I’m losing more and more hair. It’s becoming very noticeable and I just want to cry because it doesn’t seem to be stopping and I’m already at about 40% hair loss. Thank you for making this video … it makes me feel less alone. And the new knowledge is power. I have a lot to learn about wigs but I feel like this is my best option right now.

Thank you for this video! I was diagnosed with alopecia areata 2 years ago during my senior year of high school and have been really self conscious about my hair ever since. Thankfully my hair is thick so my spots are hard to see but I still get scared that someone will see them 😥 I was thinking lately of starting to wear wigs and stumbled upon your video. I’ll definitely use this for reference thank you for the video and thanks for sharing your story 💕

But I still identify with my hair if you know what I mean. You have a great purpose to encourage others to be beautiful like you. Some people can be beautiful on the outside and not on the inside, but I find you beautiful inside and out. God loves you and you help me feel beautiful too! It's good that you don't straighten your hair Candace because you allow it to have it's natural wave and shape and don't cause anymore damage to it. The first look is actually what I did on your sister for her wedding day! The second look is TOTALLY you. It's a whimsical, bohemian-style braided half up look that has your name all over it. If you ever decide to get one, I will help you style it and give you tips on how to take care of it. You just let me know girl. Here for you ;-)

That is wonderful to hear Anna! Try out these techniques and come back and let me know if you have anymore questions or concerns and I can help you. If you don't have the Got2B spray, get it. That is a huge game changer. I didn't show it in the video but I will typically put my wig on after the spray and wrap my head tightly with a bandana until the spray dries. It doesn't move ALL DAY and it doesn't ruin my lace.

Hi Gabi, I must say you did a good job showing people how to apply a lace front and adhere it. I have frontal fibrosing alopecia, and my hairline is receding and I have no hair on my temple area. I know this is horrifying. I have found with wigs that they are too dense and the part looks unnaturally dense. I have been trying to find a wig that is lightweight and has a preplucked hailrline so I don't screw it up! My hair is straight and fine. It is getting too thin and I need to find a good wig that looks natural. Any suggestions would greatly help. Also, could you do a tutorial on plucking the hairline and part to make a wig look natural. Other videos go way too fast and I feel like you would be a good teacher for this topic. Thanks for the video! Good job!

Thanks for sharing Michelle! I really appreciate it. Wearing a wig really takes a lot of confidence. You have to wear it proudly and not care if anyone notices or even comments because it's not as socially acceptable for caucasian women in society to wear it which always baffles me because wearing extensions is exactly the same except that the top of your hair is out. I wear wigs all the time to special events and no one ever says anything about it but I also feel like I would be less comfortable wearing it to an office environment if I worked in one.

Did you like your wig from freedom couture? I really wanted to try one of those. The Got2B spray is amazing. You can also use the Got2B spiking glue which is a gel. That works very well too. One tip is to apply the spray or gel, put your lace down and then use a headband to tie it super super tight to your head. Wait about ten minutes for it to set and it will be PERFECT. I didn't show that in the video but regretted not showing it after when I was editing because that trick works super well. After that, I don't find that it moves at all. I totally know what you're saying about the headache and I get it too. I have a semi-sensitive head so I wish I had more advice but I don't. It's the weight and the tension that is causing it and there isn't much we can do about that unfortunately.

If he leave me because he found out I have thinning hair that would break my heart more than if he isn’t interested in my upfront because of my problem. What do you think about it?
