It seemed to me that she has some sort of personal trauma from school that she was projecting onto her children. Interesting how she said it was the childrens choice, but when her kid was trying to express what he wanted she just shut it down. Sad that she is happy for her children to struggle in their adult lives. I think her hubby got a real dose of reality when his kid couldn't count.

The bus mom was completely unbelievable it's almost like she wasn't even giving her children the opportunity to try to learn and get an education to prepare them for life walking around in the wilderness can be a hobbie but it's no way to live.

Unschooling=lazy parents

Homeschooling can be good but that home is not appropriate for that many kids they could build something

Bus mom is absolutely selfish.

As a kid I hated hated school and homework but now that I’m older I’m grateful. My dad has a friend who in his 50s he can’t read write or do math and it’s really sad because he can’t get a job and he can’t read papers or write anything. Education is important for young children when they are older that when they can make the decision to continue education. They won’t survive in the real world without an education. Bus mom is wrong for that. Im happy bus dad changed. As for the rich parents they are doing a good job but they are too strict they need to balance work and fun.

That young child didnt even know how to count. This mother is abusing her children by not teaching them important life skills.

Bus mom is just sad of a mom to have her kids live on a bus with that many and not even care if her kids are ready for this world or not. It's so unhealthy and sad her and her husband don't care about the kids enough to want best for them. And the other mom and dad it's sad they are like drill Sargent's instead of showing the kids some enjoyment in life. Instead they just see everything purchased. And bus mom needs her head checked saying she is a good mom yet raising children that isn't very smart when facing the world and maybe she shouldn't be allowed around her kids since she has failed them as a mom

Bus living is doable but there needs to be structure

This episode reaffirmed my belief in finding a good balance between structure and freedom. For example, I think Tenille's kids should have the choice whether they want to do Martial Arts or not, but Angeline's kids NEED to know basic reading, writing, and math skills.

Kids don't NEED school, but they do need a proper education, which can be done through proper homeschooling. I homeschooled my kids, they've been to university and are now in the workforce. We joined local hs groups for social interaction, put our kids into structured art lessons, woodwork lessons etc which was run somewhat like a classroom by professional teachers in the community. Board of studies check up on homeschooling families every 6 months to a year to make sure children are thriving and progressing. I don't even understand how this family was getting away with not educating their children, the only thing I can think is that they have never registered as homeschoolers, and with their nomad lifestyle, it would make it very difficult for educational authorities to catch up with them. I'm wondering if after this episode airing any authorities stepped in.

I think she keeps her kids out of school because of her admitted Hangup of not liking expectations. Like teachers expect you to follow rules and do homework. 😮 I hope for their sake that the unschool works for them.

I hope that guy leaves her, and then in the court uses this to show how uneducated her kids are.

It would be so much more interesting if it was less drastic. Give normal families and show how they differ.

The bus mom. (Angeline) is a mess of a mom and wife. It’s her way or the highway. In my opinion. She even discredits her husband. SMH it’s honestly sad! She acts like a child, don’t even consider the father’s feelings in any of it. And she don’t even clean or nothing. It seems.

My god. Bus mom was abhorrent. She can not actually believe that depriving her kids of education is BENEFICIAL in any way. She is going to create poverty for her children and future generations because of her massive mistakes. Children do better in life with routines, structure and boundaries. Parenting classes should be required.
