Pausing right at the drop takes away all of the energy of the drop. It's about dynamics. Same as pausing right before the chorus.

That was kinda wrong, Chod. That pause right before the drop was dirty. Dee, you give me life! I'm a huge Slipknot fan (Maggot, if you will), so I had to watch this. There are 9 crazy men on stage, so it gets INSANE! But the feeling of connection & togetherness in that crowd is just as strong as the music being played. Check out Vermillion, Part 2, for the softest Slipknot I've heard. P.L.U.R.R. from ATX!!

Lord I LOVE the look of ,among others,total disbelief! I had never heard of them & we saw them open for Judas Priest. I'm 70 now,that was a long time ago & I'm not sure I'm the same yet. Do some of their stuff from Donnington '13!

She probably freaked out when she read the first line. You went all in with Disaterpiece has an introduction. They do have a more mellow songs. She'd probably like Killpop, AOV, Vermillion part. 1 & 2, Snuff, Before I Forget and Duality.

Yes, if you never listened to something like this you will probably dislike it at first, you need to be "introduced" with more ''soft'' or ''friendly'' songs in order to get your taste and ear used to it. That's how I did it, I never liked the heavy songs from the first two albums but I listened to the last album who has some hard ones mixed with melodic stuff and I digged the style more and more every time, and now I fucking love Iowa and the self-title album. This song is probably my favourite, when at first I took it as just loud noise and now I can understand the meaning and the lyrics it's just adquires a whole different vibe.
Everyone always talks about Download 2009 being their best live show but to me this is the epitome of what a Slipknot show should be!
