The fates did give them the answers they sought ,but the fates also said they where focusing on the wrong parts 😂😂😂 there is no fate just choices but they make the same choices so predicting their fate is easy lol they are the sum of their choices. Actually that’s a good life lesson, the only way to change your fate is to make different choices

You can not know if there is fate, if you only have relative knowledge and not absolute knowledge. So you can't deny it or believe it. But by keeping questioning who you are, why you are, you will find the truth, which lies beyond your human life.

What an awesome interpretation of fate. That your "destiny" is merely the outcome of your choices, and because you as a person won't change, neither will your choices. It's an interpretation that you don't ever hear, and it may or may not be relevant to the entire game's theme.
If you listen to the Norns they actually say that the more you try to "control" fate the more you make it happen. Basically saying that the entire Greek saga would not have happend if the fates there would not have tried to control things and just let them happen.
@JuanitoEsBonito

A very wise take honestly. That's most likely what Freya meant when she said the Norns had no power like the Greek fates did they simply start a string and let it run it's course instead of manipulating it, waiting to see if the person is able to complete the challenge of changing and cutting off old habits.

@@JuanitoEsBonito To be fair I don't think it's that the Norns don't interfere with fate, I think they can't. Freya did say no one in these realms have that kind of power. The sisters of fate were special, the Norns can 'see' fate, but they can't interfere with it directly themselves, only give you knowledge so you might. But everyone pretty much tries to avoid their fate so much they actually make it happen, like Freya with Baldur.
Love the Norns Being: Old Lady: Past Grown Woman: Present Child: Future
5:29 If you were wondering wondering about the shield it says in the game, "An exceptional shield gifted to Kratos by his beloved wife on the anniversary of the night they met." That's why he asked Brok and Sindri to fix it.
"Death can have me when it earns me." - Maybe the most badass line voiced by any character in any game, book, film, or anything else ever.

@dboslice

Some may say that it's no excuse on Freya part for leaving the turtle. On one part I do understand that, but the fact is her son was killed. Literally, the only person that she ever cared about in that entire realm, at the time. When your child dies, everything else in the world doesn't matter or at least that's how it feels. I'm not saying she right for leaving Chaurli but one can understand why she did. If something had happened to Atreus, Kratos would have more than likely left them wolves to starve & die somewhere down the line. At least, Freya saw things clearly and was recognizing what was important again💯
There’s actually this game thing where every once in a while, the dwarves will have chests near their forge that contain items you didn’t pick up from enemies. And when you get them, Kratos, Atreus, and Mimir will thank them every time. So Kratos saying thanks wasn’t anything new. Especially that one time Freya helped Atreus feel better when he was ill.
The kelpie (the horse) is a creature from Celtic mythology, Mimir’s native land. It’s really cool to see what other places we could potentially explore in the future
Kratos has changed a lot. Although soon he will go back to his old self. I love how this game show all sides of him.

Yes but creepy af in controller you hear them breathing. Each Norm movement especially the kid all that running around man I had my controller on normal & still to much. PS5
They explained it clearly already in the game. And I love so much how they interpret fate, it's not that they have control over it. It's just that people's choices are so predictable that they seem like they know everything. They just make hyper accurate prediction. Which implies that fate can be changed by changing yourself. Change huh, seems familiar 🤔
32:06 Urd called Mimir Puck and Robin of the Goodfellows at 22:47, it is a character from Old English Myths. Robin Goodfellow is a "drudging fiend", and merry domestic fairy, famous for mischievous pranks and practical jokes. At night-time he will sometimes do little services for the family over which he presides. The Scots call this domestic spirit a Brownie; the Germans, Kobold or Knecht Ruprecht. Scandinavians called it Nissë God-dreng. Puck, the jester of Fairy-court, is the same. Puck was a vessel for the Faerie King, Mimir tells you that in the first game. It supports the theory that Mimir is not actually from the nine realms but a traveler from English/Celtic Myths just like Kratos is from Greek! Kelpie is also a Celtic creature it is not in the Norse Myths!

In the first game Mimir literally said he was called Robin and was part of a group called The Goodfellows in his homeland, he was ruled by the fairy king. And God of War Ragnarok Valhalla builds up on that and reveals that his fairy king was indeed Oberon from William Sheakespear's book where Puck also came from,. He also tells how he made Titania, who was mentioned by fake Sigrun in this illusion projected by the Norns, fall in love with Oberon who used her. That's why fake Sigrun calls him out in GoW Ragnarok for not helping Titania and siding with a powerful men who used her. Titania also was the wife of Oberon in the book, she was the fairy queen. So yeah Mimir is puck/Robin Goodfellow. Also, in Tyr's Vault we find a knife called Sgian-dubh that Mimir says comes from his homeland, that confirms he came from Celtic Mythology. The horse Kelpie that Mimir says exists in his homeland also comes from Celtic mythology.

I have a theory that when the Norns, also known as the "Sisters of Fate" in Norse mythology, told Kratos that he would die, the fact that they added "of Sparta" is significant. 🤔 I believe that this is because whenever people hear the name "Ghost/Kratos of Sparta," they immediately think of a merciless and brutal killing machine, a god killer. Therefore, when the Norns said that Kratos would die, they were referring to the *younger version* of him, the *"death of gods"* Kratos. ☠️ In his place, a new and caring/'reasonable' Kratos would be born. 🌟 I'm interested to know what others think about my theory. Do you think I'm onto something or do I sound 😜?

@@theonlynikolai Yeah, I mean even in this video they (TNT Gaming) observed how Kratos is being comfortable saying "Thank You" a lot! Which of course it's completely 'unnatural' so to say for the OG god of war fans‼️ So something about him/part of him is dying alright but not necessarily him, I mean Kratos is known to go to hell *intentionally and unintentionally* both in Greece and here and always somehow successfully returned to the mortal world, like he said "Death can have him when it earns him", he's no stranger to death, at this point him and death know each other on another personal level!🤣

I wonder if the Norns interpretation of Fate still applies to the sisters of Fate in Greece considering you can time travel with the loom of fate which kratos used to literally stop himself from getting killed.
@danielcunningham9438

Probably not, I think the sisters of fate in Greece were more controlling of the lifespan of mortals than telling a story, one creates life another measures that lifespan and the last ends the lifespan. They have made some choices on what would happen to mortals in their lives but otherwise it’s more of birth, life and death.
"Death can have me when it earns me" that's a badass line
I don't think this is ever directly stated in mythology but rather assumed the norns all physically represent a stage in womanhood or life the girl who constantly repeats what is said is Sküld she appears young as she represents the "young maiden". Verdandi the woman who narrates the present as it happens represents the mother and Uro represents the crone or old woman.
8:23 The nerve of Freya speaking this when she leaved Charlie to be froze to death...

9:21 That will forever be one of the coldest quotes I've ever heard in my life. I have a theory though that Kratos already fulfilled the prophecy of death but just not in the way we expected. Remember at the beginning how he battled against Thor? He was technically dead before Thor defibbed him.
The Norns - One is Past(Explaining), One is present (Narrating) and One is Future (Annoying)
Okay so to clarify, the knife you see Atreus have now is th second given to him in the last game after having to sacrifice is first one (the one that belonged to his mom). The second one was made by Kratos as part of a pair made using metals from Greece and Midgar

I'm lowkey kinda surprised that y'all didn't catch that Poisodon shoutout from GOW 3 @ 29:34 Which is one of my favorite boss fights btw🔥🔥. This was also one of my favorite parts of the game. So much intense stuff was happening. The Fate Of Norns may have been annoying, by making you relive the most recent traumas of your minds, but it was for a good cause and that's what make the message of the game deep🔥🔥🔥 Lastly, remember the previous videos when Angrbonda and Atreus was riding a magical yak like a couple, right? And this video, you see Kratos and Freya riding a magical horse, the same way right?? I'm going let that sink in😎🖤🔌💥😂

The Greek pantheon was irrationally powerful. The only way Kratos could beat Zues was to kill the Sisters of Fate and influence time in multiple ways. He prevents his own death and gets the Titans from The first great war to attack mount Olympus in his time in GoW3. Odin and Thor are crazy strong for Norse gods but Thor would have had problems fighting Hades, Ares, Zues, or Poseidon. Kratos didn't hold back against those gods.
Looking for the Norns and finding that Hilt unlocks a whole new bunch of "Challenges" I also did the side quests for the wolves and at the end of it was wholesome and I did another side quest that explored Sigrun's past a bit. At 16:35 that whole conversation with Mimir asking Kratos of the fates back in Greece him telling them that he killed them turning their power against Zeus, and hearing Freya saying the realest thing ever was hilarious "That the most irresponsible thing I've ever heard" I just agreed with what Mimir said in this moment "We'd be five shades more fucked than we are." Seeing what they had to relive their past and upon meeting the Norns was FUCKING ANNOYING.
