Shouldn’t it just be produced with the new wider arms since everyone has rolling issues with the stock arms? I realize it’s a money maker now, but to keep quality up they should just be produced with them...

Hey traxxas I have a quick question if you dont mind, my slash 4x4 platinum running all stock electronics lost signal and had a runaway at 50mph and smashed into a car destroying the whole front end. I thought the ESC was protected against runaways but this time it wasn’t. Anyways what do you guys think went wrong and thanks for your great support

I’m a 12 year old kid and it took me maybe like 1 and a half hours it was pretty simple

Love Traxxas support, and I don't think it was as bad as some people say, yes at first it was a little unstable. But when you figure out how to drive it it's not that bad, but definitely better with the wider control arms.

Looks like u were right. Finally now I see the new model that just came out is widemaxx and I just bought my Max about 3 months ago smh. At least Traxxas is giving away the widemax kit for free now. For people that recently buy or bought Maxx. That’s why I’m here, putting on the widekit smh.

The Maxx needs to have the longer drive shafts for the this to work right. If you don't use the longer drive shafts, you'll eventually ruin the drive shafts.

Bruh this is so frustrating when you have a year old maxx it like doesn’t work

No, but you have to use the longer shafts included with the kit and they skip over having to switch the outdrives over which is not easy.

This video should be updated ASAP for putting on the new steel drive shafts. It's really pricy to upgrade the MAXX, you really should have done this at cost due to the MAXX not being a very stable truck without the wide kit put on. Your designers messed up, and we the Consumer are paying the price for their mistake. I love your products, but really, it's going to cost me over $150 to make this upgrade. I have the TRX4 Sport, two Rustler VXL 4x4s, the MAXX, E-Revo 2.0, and a new XMAXX. At least give it to us the kit at the price you sell to the hobby stores. Everyone's making money from your mistake, and the customer is the loser. No more MAXXs should be sold without the upgraded wide MAXX kit. Thank you for reading this.

The maxx has a different chassis so it's going to be different then the revo and tmaxx plus they are kinda outdated so if we got a newer design with a nitro motor it could be pretty fun

I've said it before, this is not an upgrade, it's a fix. The fix in this video, is not the entire fix. You have to get the metal drive lines, if you don't you'll destroy the plastic drive shafts. Everyone that has a MAXX knows it will roll very easily. I had no choice but to buy this fix, the only upgrade is maybe the metal drive shafts. Your engineers messed up designing the MAXX, and didn't make it wide enough to handle turns. You have to slow way down so as not to roll it over. Traxxas should at the very least sell the fix at cost. Making your costumers pay for your mistake in designing the MAXX is not cool. Traxxas should not sell the MAXX without this fix. If you were a real car manufacture, you would be made to fix this under warranty. You're trying to make us feel this is taking the MAXX to another level, and in reality, it's a fix, and you all know it. With that said, Traxxas does make some of the best RCs on the market. The XMAXX is the best RC truck out of the box., and yes, I do have one. I just got my Wide MAXX kit today. $187 fix for the MAXX.

Yeah why not just of designed it correctly from the get go & have this already on? Oh you want more $$$...Silly me Perhaps if it was designed correctly and already wider so it didn’t roll over you would of sold 35% or more than what was sold. I have two Tmaxx’s (2.5 & 3.3), Rustler, Hoss, & now an Xmaxx so don’t think this is from an Arma fan boy.

This is a very incomplete and over-simplified tutorial. There is no mention of swapping out the rear shock oil. Nor the fact you have to swap all the components on the female section of cv drives to the new longer shafts, which is complicated in itself.

This video sucks, half of it doesn't even get shown to you. Paid 600 on a truck and need to find some other video on YT to fix their mistake.. what a great start to traxxas.

For what they charge for that junk it should have all the upgrades already in it! 530.00 for plastic dogbones and non Adjustable links what a joke!

Rc Goodness I was going to say about the same thing lol but you don’t need to be rich, just know you want support. I just sent in 3 old lipos to Traxxas that went bad from just being old and will be getting 3 new ones at half price in about a week. Find another manufacturer that’ll do that!
