kev the camera view of those cars flying up and off that ramp from directly in front of it really shows how violent that take off is when they are going that fast. definetaly get some more clips like that of some of the other high jump cars you have.

i cant imagine the RC community without Kev.. EPIC as always🔥

Me too literally no one cares about rc in my Area 😢

I had my v1 Maxx for 3 days before learning of the v2 I converted mine over and have to say it does not steer as well as it did short but what you get handling wise was completely worth it! This is just my opinion on my Maxx and how it makes me smile 😵‍💫

V1 (4s) with the wide MAXX conversion has been absolutely epic for me!!! It does tend to mangle/break the plastic Traxxas driveshafts though. An absolute beast regardless.

I got the Traxxas Maxx V2 a couple months ago and it’s my first hobby grade RC. I LOVE IT. My little zombies love it and I actually enjoy breaking it because fixing it is easy and a good teaching experience for the little zombies! Thanks for the awesome content Kev!

I have the v1 Maxx from around when it was first released. I did install the widemaxx kit onto it, but I didn't like how it drove. It was more stable when turning and jumping, but the shorter wheelbase made it feel more agile and aggressive, which I prefer. Ultimately, I ended up reverting back to the original v1 Maxx as I prefer that.

Just a little advice...save up and get any arrma 6s and you won't be disappointed...the older gas one will cost you more at the end of the day to not be as good as the 6s platform

I’m not gonna say which brand to go with but you will be absolutely blown away by any 6s vehicle you choose if you are new to the hobby. I’ve been into it since I was just passed toddler age in the late 80’s when I got my first Traxxas Bandit, but have recently come back after a couple year hiatus and I am so overwhelmed with how far they have come and how much fun I’m having again. I recently got a Traxxas Sledge by the way, but soon will be picking up an Arrma Infraction and a TLR tuned Typhon.

I liked the V1 better. V2 is a patch to make it compatible with the 6700mah Traxxas lipo. V1 with the Widekit was perfect. With mine I kept the stock springs front and back and stock 30 weight oil. It soaks up bumps like it did stock, but now it's more stable. I drove a V2 and didn't like how it handled. They made the suspension stiffer and it's also less nimble with the longer wheelbase.

Ich mag de v1 auch lieber. Der v2 wirkt mir nicht so stabil und schaut auch sonst nicht so gut aus wie der v1.

The v 1 looks like a mini... maxx The v 2 looks like the result of a one night stand between an x maxx and a erevo To each their own though I like the former more and am pissed about getting screwed out of new stock bodies and parts Edit: sold mine because of this issue

HELLO PEOPLE DOES NOBODY KNOW... there's a Widemaxx kit for the v1 and it makes it one of the best machines ever available in lots of colors too, and it's intuitive and fun to create the ultimate Maxx

Such a pity that these lovely parks aren't filled with bmx riders and skateboarders no more. Back in the day we drove hours to ride a skate park a couple of times a week. People really do not appreciate what they have. Glad that the rc community can use it.

if you get those gopro mounts, (the ones that have the sticky side on the bottom) and heat them up till the bottom starts to bubble, if you stick it on a clean surface it wont come off

The gear ratio is a tooth or two different from the original max to the V2 version....but both are awesome....can't go wrong with a max....

I think it’s lame they stopped making the maxx V1… I wish they would have kept selling both

I love the v2 because of the battery tray, smash a gens ace 8700mah in there and bash it for an hour streight!

If you're buying a new one, you would be a fool not to buy the V2. Traxxas tends to innovate forward, not backward, unlike Arrma. 😂

V2 for me like that it's a bigger car. Have the outcast 6s exb and outcast 8s exb. Next I want the Mini Maxx and Xmaxx. Thinking the Tyfon would be an awesome 8s rig

They BOTH have their positives and negatives, pros and cons. Go for whatever puts the biggest smile on your face. But the Maxx versions are great vehicles regardless.

I emailed them about this when v2 arrived. V2 officially supersedes it and v1 parts will, in time, dry up.

That's how the world works, things get improved! Obviously when a product is improved the older product will be discontinued. That's just how it is and has ALWAYS BEEN 🤷 🤔

Model rocket engine with working parachute still attached would make this so much cooler.

I didn't have the OG MAXX but I love my V2 one, it's fast and durable and seems like Traxxas ironed out all the flaws from the V1 MAXX.

The beauty is you can throw down a 100$ bucks or so and do a V1 to (near) V2 conversion if “size matters” to you 😉

If i remember correct, the V1 maxx has a cush drive a rubber washer with edges to catch the gear that allows true AWD with an ability to absorb shock. the new maxx has a true sealed diff in the middle. I looked it up on traxxas's site and the cush drive for the maxx (I assume V1, main rubber piece) also fits the E revo 2.0 Spur gear

One of my favorite things about watching you Kev is your great attitude. I would love to see a collaboration with Mark. (MSM)

I highly recommend driving this like this. Way more fun and working on your rc car is actually pretty fun

I’d honestly pick V1 over the V2 just for the nimbleness and the stunts!

I prefer the v1 had it 1yr still running strong haven't broken anything

I’m surprised the xmaxx survived the run in with the rival mt10 during the backflip attempt. That mt10 is tough as nails

I think they have discontinued the V1 now. I preferred the V1 it looks better and is a bit more fun with it being more nimble. It would of been good to see both trucks running the same tyre

Kev I had an idea that when ever you put in the parts for a car and you do a scene cut and it looks like they just fell in, I had the idea that you could like ""accidentally"" drop them on top of the rc car whenever you put in the parts

I have both as well. V1 has the wide kit, metal drive shafts on both and sledgehammer tires. V2 is on 6s and is violent LOL but I really only drive the V2 and gave the V1 to my son. But I only drive the V2 because it self rights! My Talion is way more fun and durable so...

I want to put the shorter arms and bigger tires on the new maxx with thicker diff oil and go in the rocks. The wide kit drags and gets hung up on rocks.
