It always is something. Seems that the less siblings people have, the closer they are majority of the time, I have seen whole families with dozens of kids who could do nothing but fight all the time, meanwhile just two siblings were close and generally get along, rarely holding grudges. Makes me wish I could turn back the clock to those days I swear.

OK just to inform the non-art people this scene is actually hilarious. The art piece is called "The Physical Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Living" by Damien Hirst, it is indeed a shark inside a giant tank of preservative more or less. This is funny because yes, not only is it insanely expensive, it was widely laughed at by many for being well, a big shark in a tank basically. So Dougy going "this is worthless" is really funny. this is also funny because this entire scene is about how Wide Whale loved his brother who he thinks is dead, even though he isn't. Fucking hilarious.

I always believed that as children, Doug used to take care of Chester and/or the rest of the family, which is why he looks up to him so much. Dad was not around, Doug used his genius to be the breadwinner, and Chester fell into the gang life, not just for money, fame and power, but to also provide for the family and prove to Doug he was capable of doing so. Even as a villain, he still is in touch with his mother, probably in good comfort thanks to Doug and Chester and Doug talks to him like a parent to their son. He not only sees Doug as a brother, but also a father as well.
