The wicked witch's backstory is harry potter x carrie x wednesday? Honestly, prefer the take in Oz the Great and Powerful.

How? Her backstory is young woman fighting racism gets put down by her prejudice society. It’s not similar to any of the things you mentioned. Oz the great and powerfuls witch didn’t have a backstory. She was literally there to look pretty and then get cursed by her sister to turn green. Elphaba is an entire character with an entire novels worth of backstory. Theodora (from Oz the great and powerful) is barely a character.

Sorry, really, really have my doubts about this...looks like Hunger Games meets Harry Potter, the musical but very little mentioned about the music. Not sold!!

What’s funnier is that Glinda is seen as good cause she’s white and blonde. She’s not smart or kind of anything. That’s the whole basis of the story as wicked is literally about racism.
