Kristen will always be the best but I’m actually a fan of how Jenni Barber did it!! I think there’s something in her voice that’s so unique for the character! Her facials crack me up too 😂

I saw her on one or the National tours and she is one of my favorite Glindas--and she performed with my favorite Elphaba, Marcie Dodd. Incredible pair!

Fabi Bang (Brazil Glinda) managed to be more unhinged in the recent non-replica of Wicked from last year. From doing "Desafio da Cuca" towards the climax of the song, to several references to the then-recent _Barbie_ movie.

So cool to know Laura Bell Bundy did it! Totally fits with Elle! Also cool she was an understudy for Glinda and Annaleigh was for Elle!

I think what Makes Kristin the best Galinda is she has always been a sensational comic actress. Others may sing it as well or possibly better, but the timing that Popular takes is everything and Kristin has it.

I love the Korean versions though I’m curious as to how it’s translated and what lyrics might be different in another language as compared to translating it one for one. Like in the Korean versions the “right now” instead of “instead of dreary who you were, well are”

In songs the lyrics' syllables and how they fit into the melody is especially important in the Korean language because our pronunciation and writing system focuses a lot on splitting up syllables.(But in general lyric translations for performances can never be one on one accurate lol)Also it is common in korean musicals to incorporate new english lyrics into the translated versions for a smoother representation of the original!

It's always interesting how differently characters can be portrayed and still be good each time. I think the different actresses/actors changing up the character is what keeps the show from getting boring if you were see them several times. Some people complain that it's different but I absolutely love it!

Ali Mauzey is really good- her voice isn’t overly annoying and tinny, and she has a wonderful understanding of the comic personality of the character. very lovely to watch and listen to.

Fabi Bang is really good in the 016 one, but the 2023 one is AMAZING. Loved Kim Bo Kyung Too

Kendra for the acting, Alli for the sheer unhinged madness that sort of became the blueprint for every Glinda that came after her.

Ali Muazy is literally my favorite and her role in crybaby is so perfect😭

Fabi Bang is truly one of the best Galindas ever. I love her! ❤

I think what makes Kristin’s so compelling and clear is her breath control and specific choices. This song is so challenging to sing and commit to and move with- so sometimes I think the labored breathing takes away from Glinda’s sense of security in herself. She’s preppy and flamboyant, yes- and she moves with grace and swiftness. All of these women are fantastic. And I do love to see, hear, and feel all of the different renditions of Glinda that introduce new layers/nuances/characteristics that audiences haven’t thought of before or expected. Excitement rises and falls so differently in each body, and this is one hell of a role!!! They’re fabulous. And Kristin originating the role for others to continue to flourish in it has created such a beautiful garden. So excited for the movie ❤️

Glinda is really funny during popular but elphie's expressions give me so much

I love this video!! As beautifully defined as Galinda was by the outstanding Kristin Chenoweth, it’s awesome to see how each actress put her own little spin to build on that! I saw Megan Hilty perform live with The Seattle Men’s Chorus and after each song she did, she did a little chuckle which endeared me to her. When I read she had played Galinda, I thought “Yeah, I can see how she’d be perfect in that role!”

Kara Lindsay's, "I know about popular" is my favorite rendition, but they are all amazing women.

I saw Wicked twice on Broadway: 2018 and 2021. I really liked the high-pitched hilarity of Glenda in the 2018 version. 2021 version wasn't bad. She just wasn't as outrageous.

analeigh and Megan hilty are my favorites, didn't see megan live, but Annaleigh and Stephanie J block on tour in San diego, this is one of my favorite songs from wicked

megan hilty is the most impressive bc she not only does the improv part well but actually makes me think for a second these are really great lyrics too. i actually hear and laugh at the personality dialysis line when she does it whereas w actually every other one i've seen it's just like "and this is the middle line that fills in between the funny bits"

In the Netherlands we had Chantal Janzen in this role and she was also hilarious

I appreciate the different languages, but specifically hearing British Glinda breaks my brain 😂 I’m so used to her sounding like a stereotypical valley girl

I gotta say, Katie Rose Clarke is my personal favorite. Her mannerisms and voice really match what I interpret Glinda to have to be.

The translations are fascinating, especially because of the wordplay. The different pronunciations of popular just aren't going to translate well, especially because it has to rhyme with the rest to work as well.

Ali really did it for me. Her and the original are the best in my opinion ❤
