I think they should’ve paid some more attention to boq tbh. Boq gets turned into the tinman, which is a big role in the wizard of Oz, which is what wicked (both book and musical) are based on.

So glad this video exists, got my first voice-acting gig as Boq for a little Christmas concert. Didn't know who he was until I saw this clip. Now I feel honored to play the role of Boq

Boq is my dream role!! Still auditioning for him. As I've learned from many cast members of WICKED, a full scale from 7-10 years till they got it. Persistence pays off. Love this charecter so much.... so lovable, quirky, and then gets into these situations where his crush has no interest in him but gets taken advantage of by another. It's literally like me with a crush on this girl that I like but then was used by another. He's also like the Male version of "Eponine" from Les Miz... dream crush who ends up having no interest and then having a tragic ending. I'm not giving up hope to being Boq on Broadway or the tour!!

Does anyone know how the tinman quick change goes?

Omg I have such a funny story. When I was like 12 my theater did a production of: witches of oz AKA wicked without all too much copyright involved. Keep in mind this was my first introduction to wicked. the script was pretty much a mess but were not gonna focus on that today. In the show I got Boq. Pretty much my only idea of the character was that he was the tin man. Our production was an all of 30 minutes long!!!! So it ended with defying gravity. Pretty much I never turned into the tin man in the entire show. In this version Boq was the narrator and a pretty nice guy who had no love interest at all. Like I said earlier I had never seen wicked so I just played Boq as the script made him seem. After watching a bootleg of the show years later I’m literally flabbergasted. I have so much to say about this show that I might make a whole video. Oh and also during dress rehearsal I got a bloody nose and so at the Performance I had blood all over my jacket lmao😂😂😂😂
