My youngest daughter's "Bunshine" Gelato lived here (with us) for three years (free roamed). He is a Holland Lop, just like Cinnabun and she got him from a rescue. We think he was about four years old when she brought him home. He is totally litter trained but wow, she moved out (first place away from home/adulting) and it took him a long time to not be upset about that, so he pooped everywhere and even peed on her couch. He is such a sweetie, but those changes (any big changes) make/made him a little upset and he announced his displeasure in his own way of not using his litter box. Your video was spot on! Our Bun Love is now about 8 or 9 years old and slowing down a lot. His little poop accidents are okay now (they blow out of his furry butt as he snoozes...awww), as he cannot help it anymore. Oh my goodness, I adore Gelato

It's so difficult to punish a bunny, those cute eyes giving you "the look" aaahhh!!! My bun always melts my heart. He does pee and poop on the couch on occasion, though he is potty trained as well as castrated; I think it's him saying, I love this couch, this couch is mine! Oh my watching the part on retaliation peeing and pooping, lol! I can definately see my bun doing that to me if I ever anger him. I don't know if this is a good idea or not (probably not) but when I first got my bun I would give him a small treat whenever he used his potty. Though he started going to his potty without actually needing to use the toilet, just for a treat.... So be careful with that if you want to try positive reinforcement.

I ended up getting/using a second litter box for my boy. Basically, I had surgery and couldn't move fast to catch him to pick him up so I just put the second litterbox where he was peeing and pooping on the floor and he now uses that litter box and the main one. strangely enough, they are not that far apart, now he jumps from one to another and back again like it's a game so I can't take it away since he uses it for playtime and munching XDDD

OMG! I had NEEDED a video like this for weeks. Dusty was neutered 2 years ago and has had access to the living room without any problems - even when we're in another room. It's properly rabbit proofed and he loves doing binkies on the rug. Then out of nowhere, he started pooping and peeing on one of our couches. Not the couch he likes to hang around and play on (aka his couch), my couch (the one I spend the evenings lounging on while reading it watching Netflix). Even with a tarp covering it, he still uses it every chance he gets. Looking back, it all started after I rearranged the furniture to make room for our tree during the holidays. Here's hoping it goes back to normal once everything is back into regular place. 🤞

We have a girl, 18 weeks old now, she is bonded with our 4 year old male bunny. Our older bunny is toilet trained. But our girl rips out the puppy pad and chucks it. She will borrow in the litter tray, sending chippings flying everywhere, what a mess! Thank you for this video, it's helped us understand the girl.

My bunny likes a clean litter box. When it gets to dirty she will poop just outside it, I use 1 scoop of Kitty litter, NO CLAY BASED. and a couple scoops of hardwood pellets. I then put a bit of hay on top as she likes to sit and munch. She has 2 litter boxes as she has complete run of our 2 storey house.

You shouldn’t be use any kitty litter period. Doesn’t matter if it’s clay based or not. If your rabbit eats it can cause an impaction. Only use the wood pellets or paper based like carefresh.

Hello Cinnabun Sundays! 🐰 I've been following your channel and really enjoy your bunny-related content. Recently, I had my bunny Mocha neutered, and I find myself a bit unsure about some aspects of the process. Would you consider making a video about neutering, and maybe providing some guidance? I believe your insights would be helpful for bunny owners like me. Looking forward to more adorable bunny content! 🌼🐇 Thank you anyways, and yes, I know there is another video but I cannot commit that he is ok, thank you a lot!

My number one tip is to make sure your buns have a big litterbox. I have two bunnies and they can be a little bit territorial. By big i mean storage bin big and not like a cat litterbox.

My continental giant LOVES to dig in the litter box. So I had to get a littler box with taller walls. Unfortunately my Dwarf lionhead sometimes doesn't feel like getting into the box and pees on the floor. Downsides of bonding a continental to a Dwarf.

When I rescued my rabbit she was litter trained, but my rabbit poops all over her 6x6 pen (I let her free roam in my rabbit and in my basement for at least 6+ hours) and I’ve tried catching her in the act but she hates getting picked up, I’ve trying disinfected the accident area and it doesn’t work. How do I fix this problem??

We quit trying to pick our bunny up a while back as she would bolt. We would just give her a few nice pets in her special spots and then leave her. Now she comes and hunkers down beside one of us to get attention and likes to hang out close to our feet, or just nearby, I do think you have to be patient and gain your bunnies trust first. She now lets us pick her up now and again as she is becomeing a real attention sponge.

Hi, @Undercover_fairy896 ! I would recommend spaying her if she is not already and maybe moving the litter box to the area where she has the accidents the most. Or maybe you can try switching to other cleaning product (something specially designed for cleaning urine so that she can't smell it there at all). Good luck with you bun ❤🐰!

She is spayed! And she uses her litter, just not entirely. I think she trusts me because she follows me everywhere, dead bunny flops beside me. She just doesn’t like being picked up. Thanks for the suggestions though! Edit: She was kept in a hutch for 2.5 years with no litter training so that could be it.

I’m having potty problems with my 4ish year old boy. The minute he is in the living room, he pees on the carpet and poops everywhere. How does he have SO much poop🤦🏼‍♀️ I’ve had to make lots of changes trying to fix this but now I’ll do some of the discipline stuff and see if that works. Thank you for the tips!

My girl, Loki pees out of retaliation and when she thinks her potty is too dirty, even though she has two large potties and one is always significantly cleaner than the other by the time cleaning day comes around. I use litter fyi, I can’t use potty pee pads with her, she destroys them. She peed twice last night right next to her potties than once in retaliation when I went over to my parents earlier today. Everything was cleaned up quickly (as soon as I noticed them).

My rabbit is 2.5 months old. When he was 1 month old, he was peeing in his bowl from the first day. But he did it twice yesterday to other places in the house, and once today to other places. I took it every time and put it in the pee bowl and it's like he won't do it in there anymore. Has he hit puberty?😢😢😢

  • @amandaolsson6155
    @amandaolsson61554 ай бұрын

Another reason could be they don’t like the litter box, the litter or where it’s placed. It’s all about getting to know your bunny and what they want. You could for example move the litter box to the spot where the bunny is doing accidents. Also , every bunny is different. Ours doesn’t like to have the box in a corner or with something covering it. They want it out in the open and easy accessible. I would not recommend picking your up, holding it close to the pee and saying no. This will only lead to a broken bond between you and your bunny. I would focus on trying to get what your bunny is trying to tell you and figuring that out. Never punish. These are just my opinions. ❤️

I used to foster babies a lot for the humane society. By the time they were ready to go in for their spay/neuter at 4lbs or 4 months old the majority I had trained to at least pee in their box. Weren’t great with poop all the time. Some caught on faster than others. I changed the box out every 3rd day just like my own rabbits.
