Why Your Healthy Habits Might Not Be Enough Without TRT?

#trt #testosteronetherapy #testosterone
if you're a newbie who's just looking to start the trt journey you might have some questions:
1. What are some common myths and misconceptions of TRT?
2. What are some benefits of testosterone replacement therapy?
3. Are there any side effects of TRT?
4. What are some mistakes people commonly make when starting TRT?
5. How do drugs, alcohol, junk food, and lack of exercise impact the effectiveness of TRT?
6. Why is it challenging for people with low testosterone to maintain healthy habits and lifestyle changes?
7. Why might someone who is doing everything right still need TRT to achieve optimal health and well-being?
1. Introduction:
- MIKE introduces Dave Lee, a health coach and TRT expert, who will discuss common questions and concerns about TRT.
2. Importance of Commitment:
- Dave emphasizes that starting TRT is a significant commitment akin to becoming a type 1 diabetic, as it requires ongoing self-management.
- TRT can act as a catalyst for positive changes in various aspects of life, including health, mental well-being, relationships, and physical strength.
3. Optimizing Natural Production:
- Before starting TRT, individuals should try to optimize their natural testosterone production through lifestyle changes.
4. Role of Lifestyle Factors:
- Dave stresses that TRT should be accompanied by healthy lifestyle choices.
- Common issues that hinder the effectiveness of TRT include drug use, excessive alcohol consumption, poor diet, and lack of exercise.
- Achieving good physical health is crucial for mental health and overall well-being.
5. Managing Expectations:
- People should have realistic expectations about TRT; it won't transform someone into a "sports car" if they are treating their body poorly.
- TRT enhances the results of one's efforts to live healthily but isn't a magic solution.
6. Challenges in Making Changes:
- It can be difficult to adopt healthier habits when one feels unwell.
- Overcoming past failures and persisting with healthy habits despite challenges is essential.
7. Cases of Biohackers:
- Some individuals, particularly younger ones, live highly disciplined lifestyles yet still have low testosterone levels.
- For these people, TRT may be necessary despite their best efforts to maintain optimal health through natural means.
8. Critique of Traditional Endocrinologists:
- The discussion criticizes some endocrinologists for their narrow view of hypogonadism and reluctance to consider TRT.
- There's a call to recognize and address the broader issue of testosterone deficiency affecting many men today.
9. Modern Health Challenges:
- Factors like plastic pollution and pesticides might contribute to the increase in testosterone deficiency.
- Many individuals, despite living healthy lifestyles, still suffer from low testosterone levels due to modern environmental and lifestyle factors.
10. Bioidentical Hormone Optimization:
- TRT, particularly using bioidentical hormones, is seen as a beneficial intervention with minimal side effects.
- It's important to monitor therapy closely and maintain healthy habits for the best outcomes.
11. Benefits of TRT:
- The speaker highlights the significant improvements in health and quality of life reported by those on TRT.
- Regular monitoring and lifestyle adjustments required by TRT can lead to overall better health.

I’m exactly 7 days in my trt with the gel. I’m 31 years old and had a free test of 74. Struggled for years with mental fogging, always super tired and couldn’t follow a conversation more than a half minute… after day 3 it felt like my brain just got cured and switched back on track. Going from 74 to starting a trt is def the “fix” for my life. I actually feel younger in my head, higher libido, happier, better spouse to my gf and more calm minded. This is definitely the best thing that could have ever happened to me.

If you’re drinking alcohol you have to stop immediately. Eat healthy. Trt could bring you back to health .. but you need to change lifestyle.. eat healthy, supplements, water ,sleep ,,less stress. I had all the low t symptoms did trt for two years and tapered off. Now I’m good . LH and FSH back in range. And remember trt clinic will help you get on trt but would not help you get off . You have to advocate for yourself. And the less of a dose you take the better. You can do it . Don’t give up up .

You're doctor is a quack, get rid of him. It if means anything to you, it took me 6 doctors 4 years before I found one that consider my symptoms were legitimate. I went through some terrifying mental images that went in my head that wouldn't be there had I been taken seriously and treated earlier. I lost all connection with reality and non of the mood/anxiety drugs I was given had any affect. Our bodies don't go by the numbers and realize it should be feel bad because the number say your normal. For the record, I believe those number are far from accurate. We need way, way more research especially separating men into group by ages, race, ethnicity, etc. I also suspect that our environment is effecting the hormone levels in many men. Anyway, good luck.

Same story for me. I had to go to a third doctor and they finally prescribed it. I’m 38 and my total was in range so the first two doctors just blew me off but my free testosterone was 4.4 and anything below 8 is considered low. And I had all the symptoms and I eat an extremely strict diet and workout 5 days a week

Incorrectly stated. Not losing fat. I lost weight alright, but I simply became a smaller version of a fat man. e.g. @6'4/15% fat 205lb vs 15'% fat 180lb. Exercise and dieting were useless. I became smaller but the fat was still there.

Would you consider 379 total Testosterone and 197 total Estrogen a recipe for TRT or would i need to get on Ais or some other type of treatment. My main symptom is i lost my sex drive, and my doctor told me it's normal at my age of 37 years old. This can't be normal. I can have my girl next to me naked, and i have no desire.

  • @balancemyhormones

379ng/dl is not normal and 197pg/ml for e2 seems like a derangement in the ratio of T/E. TRT on its own would raise your total T and your E2 as well but the ratio may favour T to E. I think you should find a doctor who can help you. If you’re in the UK or EU we can help at balancemyhormones.co.uk

Great natural interviewing technique by not talking over your guest. The guest is the person we tuned in to see. Not the host. @12:20 I was always on an improved lifestyle, which I have been most of my life. Even so, I just got fatter and weaker regardless by the day. All I lost all interest in anything. Including the activities (e.g.cycling, running, weight training) I used to love. (@19:30 "doesn't use Window?" Its still king by a large margin in desktop. That's the entire industry. Pretty much bad and worse. I'm seeing a urologist now, who prescribed me the gel, and yes, it is pretty low. After weeks of treatment, it removed my anxiety, cleared some of the brain fog, and stabilized my mood. So far, zero affect on motivation, memory, energy, or ED.
