why men are being denied testosterone and it's treatment?

#testosterone #trtexperts #testosteronereplacementtherapy
1. Background and Introduction of top trt experts:
- The discussion involves Dr. George and Michael founder of BMH, currently top trt experts in world, focusing on the denial of testosterone treatment to men who may benefit from it due to various health conditions.
2. Prevalence of Testosterone Treatment Denial:
- The conversation highlights that a significant percentage of men who could qualify for testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) aren't receiving treatment, even when they have conditions like diabetes and vascular issues.
- A French study by the French Urology Society revealed that 80% of men who might qualify for testosterone treatment aren't being treated.
3. Reasons for Denial:
- There's a discussion about why men might be denied testosterone treatment, despite its potential benefits.
- Factors such as fear, ignorance, misconceptions, and negative associations with testosterone are mentioned.
- Some speculate that there might be financial motivations behind the denial, as prescribing testosterone could reduce the need for other medications typically prescribed for related conditions like diabetes.
4. Role of Testosterone in Health:
- Testosterone is described as essential for various aspects of male health, including sexual function, vascular health, mood regulation, and overall vitality.
- It's emphasized that testosterone is irreplaceable and plays a crucial role in men's well-being.
5. myths and misconceptions of trt / myths or thoughts around testosterone:
- The conversation addresses myths surrounding testosterone, such as its alleged link to prostate cancer. It's noted that research has debunked this myth, yet it persists in medical practice.
- Concerns about testosterone causing heart issues are discussed, with the assertion that testosterone replacement therapy can actually improve heart health when properly administered.
6. Need for Proper Evaluation:
- The importance of looking beyond reference ranges and considering individualized, optimal testosterone levels based on age and health status is highlighted.
- There's a call for broader recognition among medical professionals of the role testosterone plays in various health conditions, including mental health issues like depression and anxiety.
7. Advocacy for Testosterone Treatment:
- The conversation advocates for a broader adoption of testosterone treatment across medical specialties, including general practice, psychiatry, and sexual medicine.
- Testosterone replacement therapy is portrayed as a potential solution for improving quality of life and addressing underlying health issues in men.
Overall, the conversation aims to raise awareness about the underutilization of testosterone treatment in men who could benefit from it and to challenge misconceptions surrounding its use in medical practice.

Trust these guys, TRT has been life changing for me. They brought me from bottom of reference range to the top. Their doctor said something like 'i can't have you walking around like that'. Its supplementation to get you back to normal. I felt the positive change to cognition straight away, it takes a while for the body to adjust to the changes, few months but works, and it stays. Every man should have annual tests, and supplement when you age into requiring it. Don't suffer, don't decline, don't go down the route of prescription aging, maintain a healthy level of testosterone and health instead.

I'm 45yo and ive been on trt for 7 weeks now. My test was at 203ngl equivalent to someone of 75 yr old. Going in next week to recheck my levels. Trt have changed my life for the better. My energy, my mood, brain fog, joint and aging pains gone, sex drive to the roof, etc.. i feel like how i was when i was 25. The urge and satisfaction of exercising is unbelievable. So much to mention. Men if you're feeling sluggish and tired all the time should have their t levels checked. Im doing the intramuscular injection route once a week.

Thank you for listing the fixes. But one word of caution, sluggishness alone doesn't indicate the need for TRT. That could just be a nutrition (or lack of sufficient sleep) issue. I have ALL of the symptoms. Not that I'm suggesting anyone wait until it gets that bad. The mental demons were the worst.

My first test was 236 and my doctor said it needs to be below 200 to qualify for trt. I had to send him my insurance requirement which stated under 300 qualified, he finally referred me to endocrinologist, second test was 189 so after 3 months I'm finally started treatment, he started me at 100mg every 2 weeks then I get tested again to see if I need higher dose, I'm 53, a1c 5.7 230lbs 5ft11in not feeling much after 1 month, just started 50mg each week. it's definitely a struggle with health care providers and insurance companies, so many men struggling. keep up the good work and getting the word out

50mg is very low and the doctor is being overly cautious for no good reason. Most likely you'll need about 125 per week to start noticing a difference. Also be patient, because it can take months before the body composition starts improving and energy levels improve. If after 2 months you don't see improvement tell him you want 125 per week, otherwise change doctors until you get one that knows what the hell they're doing.

Started at 180mg a week. After a month my levels tested 450 ng/dl. They increased me to 200 mg a week. After the second month I tested at 1000 ng/dl. Dr said she’ll probably lower the dose after my next blood test. I feel amazing. Started feeling and seeing results after about 4-5 weeks. I’m 47 and my sleep is great. Energy is through the roof. Strength is increasing. Sex drive is off the charts. The only negative I feel is some anxiety at times but it’s tolerable. It’s crazy cause I’ll lay down to go to sleep and I feel wide awake almost like there’s no way I’m going to sleep. 20 min I’m out and I don’t wake up until my alarm goes off.

My TRT did not resolve my libido issues after 2 years and then I decided to get my prolactin tested with my own money despite 3 different doctors saying I shouldn't test for it, turned out I was 140x the top of the reference range and then MRI confirmed I had prolactin tumor. After 2 months of cabergoline my erections are flawless now, just like they were 15 years ago before I lost my ability. I never dreamed I would be functional again.

I weighed 160 pounds with visible abs when I was 200 ng/dL. People who are privileged to have normal testosterone will victim blame and shame you and tell you that your low T is all your fault and if you would just lose weight then your HPTA would magically fix itself. It is so sad that anyone could think the HPTA knows how much you weigh. 186 ng/dL is a clear sign of a systemic problem. Here is what you need to get tested: FSH/LH (this will let you know if the pituitary is sending the signal to your testes to produce testosterone) and also check for prolactin to see if you have a prolactin secreting tumor that is shutting down your HPTA. You will never fix a level of 186 just by jogging and reducing body fat.

Like all things it varies from person to person. But certainly by the end of week 2 you should notice improvements. If by the end of week 3 you have experienced any noticeable change, then something is wrong and you need to talk to your doctor about titrating up you dose. Just keep in mind that there are physical changes (i.e. more energy) and mental/psychological changes. You might feel the mental change almost immediately (e.g. memory, focus, alertness, etc.) Also remember that test provides the foundation, you still have to apply yourself (do the work), to the experience the benefits.
