Got this 3 months ago. Pros and Cons listed are spot on. For a single mom who commutes and needs cargo space for home/garden projects it is an excellent choice. I looked at a lot of options and very happy with my choice.

I bought a '24 Corolla Hybrid AWD LE sedan last month. As you mentioned, the Toyota hybrid "CVT" is sometimes a disconnected feeling but my experience is that it is nothing like any CVT I've driven before. It uses a planetary gearset in conjunction with the hybrid components vs the typical CVT belt and cones. Smooth power delivery and the same when it moves between the EV and hybrid modes. Since taking delivery I am averaging 49 mpg in the same Western PA fall weather.

Nice review. I personally like that they kept the Corolla name for this crossover. The Corolla is one of the best little vehicles Toyota has built so for me it was exciting when I heard it was an extension of the Corolla. Can’t beat that fuel economy either! The droning would be annoying. I don’t like the slippage when accelerating. I wonder how this car would do in Pittsburgh winters.

Don't they have a super narrow low drag tires on these? Could also explain traction issues?

Actually they have decently wide tires at 225 but yes I’m sure sticker rubber would help.

I wish the CC Hybrid had a spare tire and a bigger tank fuel, apart from that this is a good choice.

A friend of mine bought a 2024 Toyota Corolla Cross hybrid, and the one comment I have that’s negative, is the backseat is not comfortable for adults. My daughter and a friend had a hard time getting out of that car from the backseat, and they are about 5‘8“ tall. My friend is having currently some electrical issues, with emergency lights coming on.

I thought this transmission has a first gear and then the CVT? Toyota is known for their CVT having this one gear because that reduces the stress on the CVT with all the torque from a full stop on the belts destroys most CVTs over the first 100,000 miles. Is that still true? Thanks.

Since this is the hybrid it has a different trans altogether. It still acts like a CVT tho.

Not really much cargo space at all. Cig Outlet is only 120w (all toyotas are 120w in U.S) No spare tire. Comes with just a tire inflator. Seats are not comfortable. Interior lights are not bright at all. This is my first toyota. Definitely going back to hyundai in the future. Can't open tailgate from inside vehicle besides driver's seat. (This is the S trim I have)

I'm sold on this 2024 CC Hybrid fully loaded XSE model. For the same price of around $35000, the 2024 Kona AWD Limited would be my 2nd choice. BUT, there is no Kona Hybrid offered, and comparing two crossovers together, I trust Toyota reliability more than Hyundai now. For the record, I'm leasing my 4th Hyundai. It's a 2022 Kona Limited FWD. If I want 42 mpg, I want a hybrid and again, sorry Hyundai. Your new Kona has the same engine as my 2022 Kona but the mpg drops significantly. Shame on you!

I know you can turn it off, but when those systems break, and they do eventually as stats show that problems with cars have doubled since all this tech went in, they are really expensive to fix. I keep my cars a long time and don't want the long term problems. These systems are unnecessary for good drivers and encourage distracted drivers to be worse and stats show that collisions are on the rise again despite and I will say in part because of these systems. When you read the fine print and most people don't, they don't work in heavy rain, snow, fog, where there are no lines on the road, in steep hilly conditions on sharp curves in certain sunlight and shadow conditions so basically they only work when conditions are ideal. Where I live, they won't work effectively most of the time. @@CarGuy11

@@CarGuy11 Most consumers would love to see real world MPG of sport, normal and eco modes using the same 100 mile driving circuit. 100 miles - Sport mode = city/hwy/combined 100 miles - Normal driving mode = city/hwy/combined 100 miles - Eco mode = city/hwy/combined
