In a nutshell, manifestation isn’t just dreaming and “focusing” on what you want. Unless what you’re manifesting isn’t MOTIVATING you to get up and work toward it, it’s not working. Manifestations only work if you’re willing to change yourself and your environment for the better while staying positive. Manifesting is believing in yourself that YOU CAN do it and YOU WILL. Awesome video ♥️

This is so true!!!! Manifesting is indeed powerful but we HAVVEE to put action behind it and be kind of uncomfortable. It helps us grow and it’s proven.

As someone 20 years older than you I'm so grateful I stumbled on your channel. I just listened to your whole podcast in a couple weeks and I never listen to self help podcasts. Now watching your videos. I wish I knew this 20 years ago. You articulate so well, relatable and to the point. I'm trying now to glow up at 47 only now realising I have to heal my inner child 🤷🏻‍♀️ telling myself it's never too late . Also got your inner child prompt. Another thing I don't do; download materials from KZreadrs. You really are making an impact. Congratulations keep going.

@@eliciagoguen what you bring is awareness. Honestly for me (and lots of my generation) we had no idea the behaviours formed from childhood. I had no idea me being the perfect daughter was actually borne out of fear, anxiety, people pleasing. I thought I was just doing the right thing. When you talked about the protector keeping you in comfort that blew me away. I always thought I was just weak, no self discipline thru emotional eating. Now I see all the ways this has impacted me . Anyway, wanted to give you feedback so you know we're really listening. Wishing all the best for 2023 ♥️

It’s crazy because 4+ years ago I was such a quick manifestor (idk if that’s a word 😂) and was so positive (not that I’m not anymore) and this one is big I was SO FULL OF LIFE AND CONFIDENT. But after I became a mommy it’s been so hard. I’ve been in my masculine for a while playing dad too and hustling and on go mode. I sometimes wish I can be the way I was before but I know the person I am now has grown so much internally. I just wanna be full of life and confident again

You know, it’s kinda scary how you make a video about a certain topic as soon as I start thinking about it. 💀 Upd.: just watched the video. GIRL, YES! I, too, can sometimes find myself dreaming about the life I want without further actions. It’s almost like people-watching and dreaming is my hobby, and somehow I feel good with that (my mind is being like ‘Well, striving towards that is too hard, but we can live this life through watching other people living it). It wasn’t until I got up to 300lbs that I realized the whole time I was drinking & eating my emotions. I wasn’t self aware I was eating to feel voids I just knew it gave me comfort. That was my thing as a child. My mom was distant & my dad wasn’t in the home. I’d entertain & comfort myself with snacks & a movie. I was literally wearing my struggles on my weight. I started working out consistently & then boom my awakening happened that was the beginning of everything. I’ve gotten down 80lbs Now I have the awareness of when I need comfort & the more healthy thing to do for it like journaling or nature. I still comfort eat sometimes but in moderation if it’s something that not the healthiest. Just being self aware changes everything!

Thank you so much for this video. I’ve found your channel in my recommendations a month ago and it’s been sooo helpful. The topic of this video is the main reason why I feel dissatisfaction with life. When I was a teen and when I was in uni some good stuff happened in my life without saying, I feel like I got used to it, but now I’m almost 25, working 5/2 and always feel like "umm okay yes I know that something’s waiting for me, it just haven’t found me yet, just a few weeks/months and it will be over, I shall live my dream live soon" ect, and in actual fact do around 10% of what I need to do to reach my goals. Because I think that it will be done by itself by circumstances, other people or what or whoever as it used to before. But the time goes by sooo quickly, I’m so scared of watching me losing the opportunities. This video has given me an extra kick to do the actions…and to revise my view on some basic daily things. Thank you ❤️

Hell yes!!! Amazing video. I've been on a journey over the last few years to reprogram my shitty negative beliefs so that I could start taking action in my life, and exercises like parts work and inner child work have been IMMENSELY helpful for me. I've also done some heavy shadow work - the KZread channel The Diamond Net has some INCREDIBLE shadow work exercises that seriously changed my life. I would like to add something though, which is the concept of *tolerating uncomfortable emotions*. Yes, work on finding new ways to regulate yourself when difficult emotions like anxiety, fear, doubt, etc come up. And also: learn to notice and feel those feelings, and take courageous, uncomfortable action anyway. This comes from the practice of exposure therapy, or ERP. It's commonly used for folks with OCD (I am one of those folks), and learning this has seriously overhauled my life. Procrastinating and indulging distractions (like bingeing self-help content on youtube) are, for me, compulsive actions to help me avoid feeling anxiety, resistance, doubt, etc. And it works in the short term... but the thing is, when I do these compulsions, I'm teaching my brain that it's correct to feel anxious about the task I'm supposed to be doing, which makes it even harder to do the next time I sit down to do the thing. There are lots of great resources out there on how to do ERP, so I'll leave that to the professionals. Whether you have OCD or not, if this video feels applicable to you, I'd hiiiiighly recommend trying it out in tandem with working on reprogramming your beliefs. It'll accelerate your progress because not only will you learn how to take action independently of your discomfort, but it'll also help create real-life positive evidence to reinforce those new beliefs you're working on. There will probably be MORE resistance at first, but if you can hang in there and realize that's kinda the point... Your self-confidence will skyrocket and you'll finally be able to get out of your own way.

You’re so caring, you reach really deep within, but you’re also friendly. I don’t like to surround myself with people who are negative all the damn time, so that’s why I don’t really hang with anyone from my hood no more, they’re very toxic here really bad environment. I’ve given up on trying to find the best people. That’s why I only listen to people like you, and I swear, all my friends and role models exist only online now. When I go with you there actually is a brighter tomorrow. New belief: next year I’m going to leave my abusive parents and toxic neighborhood. Thank you for being the embodiment of progress 😊❤❤❤

Watching dream life videos but this one felt different. Since I was a kid I would always think others were smarter n better than me n I can’t do it even tho my parents told me I can n teachers but I think it was bc there was 1 or 2 big tests every year that we would take in school but I never passed them so maybe that’s probably why I thought I was dumb but last year I took two big tests biology and history and if I failed them then I couldn’t go to the next grade so I told myself no matter what I need to pass theses tests and I did lol I was so happy and surprised so that really had a big impact on my mindset if I put my mind to it I can do it. Tbh I think I wasn’t working as hard as I should have when I was a kid so now I am always putting in the hard work so I can get what I can and should have. Thank you for this video I related to it a lot and still working on my self talk!💜 #wecandoanything

Hi Elicia ✨ I’ve found your channel super helpful in my transformation journey, thank you! I was wondering if you could talk about making peace with pretty privilege if it was everything you were putting efforts on to feel accepted. I’ve found hard to not wanting to look certain way or I am invested in the physical sometimes too much. I feel that the pretty privilege fluctuates a lot but then it is clear society values it.

This video is exactly what I needed. When I heard you talk about manifesting and aligning all parts of yourself and creating a new world through your new beliefs, I knew this my entire life but never knew how to act on it! Constant turmoil because I discovered my inner self and it was hard for me to relate to people my age I didn’t connect 100% but at a young age I knew how I felt but it almost made it worse! And that’s because I never acted on any of it, I didn’t know how to move forward. I was in a multiple year situation were I was just thinking, researching, worrying, and being so negative. I didn’t know which path to take after getting my associates degree. And somehow I lost everything I worked on inside because I let myself freak out about making the correct choice. I wish I knew early how to ACT! But hey I’m here now and hearing you SAY all of this out loud if truely what I need I’m at a breaking point of just pure stagnation no action to the point of deferment to myself and my closest relationships. So Thank you. I really appreciate how clear you are, direct but empathetic and it just makes sense. You don’t over or under explain it’s f*cking great!!!! So hey I’m glad I discovered you and thank you for being the bad ass version of yourself so that your able to help other girls become women!!!

I’m in the same boat. I think just continuing to be nice to yourself despite these setbacks is good. As long as you’re holding yourself accountable and moving in a healthy direction, you’re good. Give yourself grace. You need it. You’re only human and you’re trying to dismantle structures within yourself that helped you survive at some point in time. It’s a lot. Be kind to yourself. It will get better.

please remember maladaptive daydreaming is still a mental health issue not just a bad habit, if you have access to talk to a professional about it please try to, from experience trying to fix these things yourself doesn't work for long and it just makes you more upset with yourself in the long run when you struggle to stop, and wastes time for what could've been spent actually helping more and with someone who can give you more perspectives than you could get alone.

One thing about Alicia is with these kind of topics, I want to hear it from HER. I don’t want to hear it from some finance bro detached from humanity and engulfed by hustle culture. I want to hear it from Alicia Gogan. She has that mindset and vision to where she can actually see objective reality, she seeks truth, and she observes and responds to her environment then articulates knowledge regarding how to deal with and overcome circumstances, which are the things that prevent us from creating our own reality.
