Honestly, I'm really touched and happy to see this video of yours 💜💜💜💜💜. The first thing is that you guys have had very honest and realistic thoughts and assessments (about the so-called pride of serving the country when enlisting). Next is the prospect that Bangtan can come with prestigious awards. Most of Bangtan's military service related videos don't say everything you mentioned in this video. This was such a clear, calm analysis/opinion of this whole situation. Yes, we are all riding this rollercoaster of emotions, but some fans are forgetting we can still enjoy their massive output of content they have gifted us for 10 years. We can come up with creative ways to celebrate and promote BTS, just like we have always done. We can still stream and engage with other Armys on social media. Young impressionable fans - you need to remember that gossip and rumors are out there, so go to official, reputable sources only. Army - we acknowledge your feelings. It's time to grieve quietly, then wipe those tears away, keep your chin up, and remain positive. It is not the end, chapter 2 has just begun.💜💜💜

I honestly don’t really mind bts not releasing music or content, I just feel upset knowing they won’t be together as a whole but I think it will be a good break and refresh for everyone especially them. I feel really sad because bts has been my motivation and joy ever since I knew them but I hope they are able to get some time to find themselves. I wish the best for them and I hope they know we’ll be waiting for them as long as it takes :) also thank you for the uploads they’re always so interesting to watch!!

It’s better for BTS to all go together and get it over with, they will be together To rely and support one another. another. I’m surprised BTS has not considered this. It will be good for them and good for Army and there company Hype. After BTS should just do music and stay clear Of any political or government issues they were too hard and didn’t get nothing in return. Based on what they did for the country they could exempt them.

When I saw the Weverse notification I had that really weird feeling in my tummy. But as soon as I read the notice I was actually really relieved. After the Festa dinner there was lot's of uncertainty. I always believed THEM, believed they would come back but there was just no knowing how long it would take and I saw numbers thrown around like 5 years or something like that. Nobody could know at this point. So reading this "2025" was just so nice. I could laugh so much about all the twitter jokes because I was acutally in a really good mood that day. Because it was kind of clear they had to go. The government wouldn't do anything for them that wouldn't benifit themselves. So "normal" military service sounds like the best thing for BTS that could've happened. Those 2-3 years will have some really sad days but HYBE planned ahead and armys will overcome this without a doubt. I never thought about the possibility that their next comeback could be even bigger but now that you said the thing with the Jonas Brothers.. Armys will be starved for OT7 music, a lot of people in the music world will be tuning in and let's see how many new armys this Disney documentary brings in :D

Definitely agree! When I read the announcement, I wasn't even that surprised that BTS would take matters into their own hands and enlist themselves. The government has been dragging out the issue of their possible exemption for years now, along with other companies using bts so their own idols can be exempted. Now bts don't need to answer to anyone. Plus we already have solo music coming with Jin's The Astronaut!

It was the honourable thing to do and very on brand for BTS. They do what is right, not what is easy. Honestly, it makes me proud to be ARMY. At first i'm worried about their well being and safety because this is going to be the first time in their adult life be surrounded like this. I hope the military will treat them fairly and i hope their privacy will be respected. The media are now praising Seokjin for his brave decision of withdraw his postponement himself and they are criticizing the government now 😁

I must admit I'm a young army and I was easily influenced by the chaotic news and got very disappointed, however seeing you talk about it in a calm and collected manner really changed my mind and helped me see this as a positive thing for bts

I will be supporting BTS through their solo works, the documentary (and rewatching the PTD concert on Disney+, and BUSAN concert pieces that get published and, RUN BTS that says it will continue and whatever else may come out), streaming their music on Spotify, and definitely waiting for their comeback in 2025. They told us to have faith and trust them and that is exactly what I'll be doing!

Thank you so much for this. Especially when you pointed out, that BTS "choosing to go" actually means that they took it in their own hands and choose to go on their terms! I think a lot of people using the terms "they are not being forced" "Its an honor for them.. it was their choice" are people who don't have mandatory military service in their country and don't understand the nuaunces of this situation. BTS definitely are forced in a way because thats what mandatory means. They couldn't have just said "no". This is a very difficult political situation and I am proud how graceful BTS and Bighit have handled it!

I served but I volunteered. It might have been another situation entirely if I was forced. Sometimes I think mandatory service could be a good thing when people don't know what goes on in the world & take so much of their freedoms for granted. Mostly, though, I am against it. Especially when people show service to their country in other ways. I think if government gave people other options they would be surprised at the response. BTS, as usual, has handled this as positively as they can.

@@melaniecarver5719 Military is mandatory where I am from aswell. All boys get called for it at the age of 18 and can delay until they finished school. The service is 6 months and they can choose between military service or public service (like crisis management, ambulance/medical service, etc) I think you are right in saying that it helps to give a realistic outlook on the world, that freedom is unfortunately not always granted. I think the military does an extremely important job, when a natural desaster hits or when other crisis happens. Normal police or fire department is not always enough. And teaching (at least half) the population how to act in case of a threat is good. What I absolutely despise about the military is the mental torture and hazing of young men (and women) Some of the tactics are inhumane and making the military mandatory is also in a way messed up and violates someones rights.

@@anniex8651 Well, I didn't have to go through anything like hazing. The US military is different, although it does happen. It's despicable. There are positives to serving but it isn't for everyone. I feel like BTS has contributed a lot to their country. They shouldn't be shamed if they say they don't want to go, but in the age of social media, there is no winning that kind of argument. I'm just choosing to be positive & hope for the best.

i’m proud of you.. judging by title it’s gonna be a good and much needed video. i knew this day would come. It’s ok because both Koreas are still at war, though they do it somehow discreetly. and his decision was very wise since the government was taking ages to decide whether to exempt them or not

I actually likes the idea of they're getting hiatus for 2 yrs as a grp. It helps avoiding burnout, it makes indivual member shining and strengthen their position as a whole, it creates even more hype and everyone with brain can predict their huge success in 2025. The government didn't want to take decision bcs of the political risk, but now they will bcm easy target of the gp for any negative financial situation of the country, even if it's not directly linked with BTS. Also, for some reasons, I keep linking their cb in 2025 with 2026 World Cup in US, Canada, Mexico unconsciously.

I’ve been so annoyed by the “this is their decision” narrative. Especially coming from armys. Conscription is NOT a choice. They would have served if the government wanted them to regardless of the statement Big Hit released. The choice BTS made was the WAY in which they will serve. That was the power move here. The win here was them taking back whatever power they can in a situation they ultimately don’t have a complete choice over. All BTS have ever said is that they’re happy to fulfil their DUTY, but for some reason people seem to be interpreting this as “they want to go”… (maybe some members do - I doubt it, but if that is the case, I really doubt it’s all of them). Do you really think most people living in countries with mandatory service want to be ripped out of their lives and careers to serve in the military??? Please don’t normalise and glorify mandatory military service. Please don’t spread pro-military agendas. Be happy for BTS taking ahold of whatever freedom they can get ahold of. Do not be happy about the fact that they’re being forced in the first place by a mandate just like every other Korean man and every other person living in a country with conscription.

I already know pretty much what you're going to say, as the fandom has slowly been lifting each other up yesterday, but I still wanna here your thoughts. I saw a video by Cameron Philip yesterday and he made a good point. If you start watching Run BTS episodes, one every week, up until 2025, you'll be all caught up. Not even that but their other content too like BangTan bombs/vlogs/behind the scenes everything. We have enough content that will last us years, I'm serious, not even counting their documentaries + movies, interviews, everything really, we have so much stuff....And of course new content we still have releasing too! We'll be fine 💜

Your videos are always a breath of fresh air. I love the way you see this situation and it has made me feel so much better. I am already euphoric for 2025 when they will do that BIGGEST COMEBACK EVER: I feel it will be a definitive CHECKMATE for all haters. In the meantime, we will continue to support them as always. I was also thinking that RUN BTS has about 150 episodes: if we watch one a week, time will pass quickly!! Thank you boracity and remember: THE BEST MOMENT IS YET TO COME✨️💜

I agree. I also took the statement as good news. And I also don't think they want to go. Most korean men don't look forward to it: they just go because it's mandatory. It sucks, it's abusive and a waste of their time. Men saying they are happy to do their duty is the politically correct stance to something that is imposed on them.

I just became a fan a couple of months ago. I thought I was too old for this type of group, but I've come to really respect all BTS members and appreciate their music. Their story is amazing! It's incredible how the stars aligned themselves to bring together seven very decent and talented guys. Part of the reason they've been so successful is obviously their talent, but also that they all seem to be very decent human beings. I hope they always remain this way. For those of you who are young, believe me time passes very quickly. Jin is almost home and JHope will follow in a few months. I'm glad the four youngest members will come home together so that we can finally have all seven of our guys home. They've all stated in their interviews with Yoongi that they can't wait to perform again in 2005 for Army. My wish is they all take off at least a month before beginning to work on their music again. They've worked so, so hard for ten years. We will be waiting for our guys. We're not going anywhere.

A thought occurred to me this morning "I wonder what sort of music will come out of this". Because you know, one way or another, they are going to have thoughts, stories, and experiences they are going to want to express musically. At that is something to look forward to. And it will give me time to buy the BTS albums I don't have yet; and they're solo albums (if they are released Ina physical format); and any merch I can get here in New Zealand 🇳🇿. I totally agree with you. I will support BTS no matter what. As an army I will wait until they comeback. I just hate how the Korea government used and abused the boys. Those politicians who are against the exemptions are full of hypocrisy.

I agree with you so much. Tbh when I heard the news I actually felt calm instead of sad and might I say even happy. First I was so proud that they took that decision cuz they really are dedicated to their country. They take their influence seriously and have always been serious and sincere about the military decision. Like they could have used their influence and impact to run away from the duty like some people who went to flee their country to escape the mandatory service but they did not. 2nd as you said really 2 years is nothing cuz they are setting schedules clearly in a way that there's always gonna be one of them if not more to release their solo stuff and interact with fans (not to forget 2022 is almost over already). In fact BTS's old content is itself so much it is not normal with the amount of content that they produce (clearly showing the overwork that they go through) and even that would take more than 2 years to catch up on. And 3rd I feel like this decision was necessary not only for shutting up all the ones who kept talking about BTS's enlistment but also it will help strengthen the bond with the fans as well. Cuz if BTS can be sincere to their craft and not shy away from taking breaks and aiming for longevity, then we as fans can also show that we will be there for them regardless of if they give us content or not. 2 years is a very appropriate period to work on ourselves and grow as people just like how BTS are doing. Lastly I am just relieved and happy for our guys. With everything they do they always show just how much sincere and they are and how they do not take their influence lightly. I cannot begin to describe how relieved I am to be a part of this fandom. Like tell me when was the last time a fan-artist bond was of this nature that the fans trusted their artists not to go back on their words? Joon and Hope asked us to trust them and we do and we know they never go back on their words and promises. This bond, this trust is what has made BTS and ARMY so impactful cuz together with this trust we are indeed a great unit.

I actually believe that they are going to get the Grammy, maybe not this year but when they come back I believe they definitely will. The Grammys themselves would love the headlines that would bring, Grammys already got a lot of flack for not giving it to them for Butter/Dynamite. Also, the entire world is talking about them and how unfair their government was to them. I may be proved to be a clown later, but I really think they are going to get a Grammy in the career if not multiple Grammys. I also agree with saying they want to go, they don't want to, they HAVE to. It is mandatory and they were likely tired of the government not making a decision and don't want to put it off to further delay their career.

Sameeee I understand why some armys have been crying but I don't think this is bad news at all. We even got a comeback date and two years can go by so fast dynamite was released in 2020 and it feels like yesterday.

I very much agree with you, especially on "the ranting part". Yes, yes, yes! I think one of the negative parts of K-pop being so popular internationally is the normalization of mandatory military service. That whole narrative that "they're going to serve their country, it's an honor"... it's a very interesting (and delicate) topic.

Ok, 1st: your English pronounciation is fine! & 2nd, you make excellent points. I have seen the argument that BTS is taking this into their own hands by forcing the hand of the SK government. I think it has been a wonderful thing that they were with Big Hit, who gave them much more freedom than I have seen other SK artists get from their companies & appears to be making a strategic move in regards to this situation. They always seem to put content out, even when they were on their recent break. I don't know how it will all shake out but I think it will be OK. Maybe they do consider it an honor to serve their country in a military capacity but as you said, it's not like they have a choice. Here in the States we have an all volunteer military & I think that is best. I feel like BTS has served their country in many other ways that should matter. I just watched a video on the stats of the BTS concert in Busan (which was free) & they really brought results. As usual, the politicians are out of touch with what is going on & dragging their feet. Ah, well, my bottom line is I will watch them no matter what & when they finally come here to the States again I WILL BE GOING!!! The timing I think is really good as well. All I know is that, BTS found me in August of this year and I will continue to support all their content while they in and out of doing their service. They choose to do it their way, which is for me the best way. And again 2 years is absolutely nothing, kpop really brainwashed us by thinking this was long. The comeback that is gonna be huge and a big party for both bts and army. It will also give them a pause from idol life, even if i don’t think that they’re gonna relax in military haha. I agree with you for the mandatory military service, i don’t think this is the best way to make your country proud. Making your country proud is spreading kpop and korean culture worldwide with a beautiful message, going to the ONU and white house to discuss important matters and so on. I am proud of them, really. But I am upset as i dnt know how they are feeling. YES to everything you said. AMEN. Bangtan isn't going anywhere. They are so smart for taking the power and making the decision to do this themselves. Their comeback in 2025 with ot7 music will be EPIC. And until then, we have so much to look forward to. We have all 7 members to follow as they adventure on their own. And I guarantee that along with all of that, we will still be getting lots of ot7 content because BTS and BigHit are planning geniuses who probably have an entire year's worth of content lined up for ARMY to enjoy. I trust Boracity Magazine. I trust BTS 7. I trust HYBE. I am ARMY for the rest of my life. We all just experienced the pandemic and 2020. It is already 2022. With that in mind... 2025 will be here in no time. And... as we are being reminded everywhere... BTS content is unparalleled. Besides...the members need a rest from their grueling schedule. They probably will get more rest being in Korean military than they have had in 13 years of being Idols. Besides... let the Korean Military pay for providing bodyguards to protect the members for the next 2 years. I agree... whole heartedly. I agree that forced enlistment needs to be banished on the planet. The most conscious way is to embrace worldwide peace. When I discovered BTS 7... I KNEW... that they were my PROOF... that world peace was coming sooner than most can imagine. The ARMY I support is BTS 7's ARMY. And the tactic for transmuting global conflict to world peace is with beauty, music, dance, humor, brotherly love and friendship. I lived through the era of US draft and Vietnam War. I witnessed the Berlin Wall coming down. I have seen the miracles of people making conscious choices regardless of propaganda being broadcasted for human consumption. I choose faith and trust of our exquisite and Divine BTS 7.

2025 World tour is gonna be an all out war for ARMYs around the world for tickets. 2 whole years to start saving up. If they are gonna go to the biggest stadium in the world again, I’m ready to fly across to another continent to be part of it.
