    The dude who ran in cuffs is part of the problem. He makes it so actual victims of genuine police brutality and abuse are less likely to be believed. It's a very similar story to people who lie about being sexually assaulted, they take credibility away from actual victims.

    @@chicken29843 true, and having a bunch of third party cam footage from afar edited to only show his screams and cries will make the police here look horrendous and get spread on social media for people to not bother researching because being angry is fun. It is a problem. This type of bullshit makes everything else require more scrutiny than most are willing to give, making real problems more unsure because they might be faking. There are waaaaaaay more opportunities for oppression and violence that aren't black and white murder with obvious gunshots, no one is talking about that. Bringing it up in this context is also part of the problem, it misleads and muddies genuine discussion about real problems. Yes, there are videos and cases that are undisputed. But also, yes, there are way more that aren't so easy. And when you have people screaming and crying like this, it makes it harder to trust real problems. Is someone really suffering and needs help? Or is it a ploy to make a scene? When you invest in helping them but they fight you and blame you, what do you do? Knowing you have dozens of dagger eyes waiting for you to mess up, because any plausible mistakes coupled with a crying suspect will get attention. It would be a lot nicer if we could trust people, even suspects. Its absolutely miserable that criminals are faking behaviors of real horrible cases like George Floyd, and in the process making those same behaviors feel more fake. Because now we have secondary problem, real bad actors who want to enact racially motivated violence against suspects will use these as excuses for their behavior. "yea he was crying about being hurt but he's just lying to make a scene like that other guy". Faking a scene like this can, further down the line, be used by someone as justification for their evils.

    For those wondering: the camera does not resemble his pov, because the human eye has a lock in mechanism. Remember when you were in a car and tried to keep track of the electrical pillars (I’m not sure how it’s called) or the trees passing by? You smoothly looked at #1, then #2, then #3 with no shake in your vision. The camera does not have that lock in mechanism, and that’s why it shakes when running. Just a fun fact. Partly that and partly your brain smoothing things out. Your eyes are actually mostly fluid, so when they move, it's like stirring ice in water. They kinda jiggle about when you move your eyes. It does a lot more of that while running, since the fluid is jumping up and down

    There should be laws installed in western countries.. and elsewhere. Obligatory psychological screening for malignant disorders for every citizen. The ones who test positive and have committed crimes where people got hurt... they should after being imprisoned.. go to a closed village for the criminally insane. Because criminals with anti social disorders can't change their behaviors or the risk is too big to give them any more chances. These villages could be payed for by government and build by prisoners. You just can't let a humanoid malignant subspecies live amongst normal people.

  • @rollanddev

    @rollanddev

    10 ай бұрын

    @@alainvosselman9960 I think you're presenting a knee-jerk opinion. 1- Linking mental illness to violence is discriminatory and, often, wrong. While some do, very few mental illnesses cause violent behavior. Many of these criminals have extenuating circumstances, such as poverty or poor education, which are generally the root cause of their criminal behavior. 2- Forcing people with psychological issues to live *together* is a situation just waiting to explode. A psychological predisposition to violent behavior, for instance, does not mean you can't work together with other people to attain your goals. And if society ostracizes me by putting me in one of those villages for something I can't help, and I have a predisposition towards violence, you can bet I'd want to lash out... 3- In many cases, treatment exists for a lot of these conditions and is a much better solution to dealing with them. Many social disorders are treatable with the right support; investing our taxes (because that *is* where the government's money comes from; it doesn't magically appear in their hands!) towards better treatments is a wiser and more efficient investment than forcing people into psycho-villages. 4- *Most important, and why the above matters,* we already have "villages" for these people. They're called prisons. And if you think that's a poor system, imagine how much harder it'll be to control something even larger like a village!

Which means that there's those who don't do that. I am talking about people who pose a danger to society. Can you imagine a close family member, friend, coworker needlessly being killed by say : an act of overkill by some sicko ? I can ! If you were pulled over for speeding and were just waiting for your ticket and someone suddenly stole your car and left to beside the road, would you be "relieved" because at least now they were paying more attention to the other guy? He didn't even get out of the tickets.

    @@justforever96 @justforever96 I don't know what video you saw but the driver was not just sitting in his vehicle waiting for his ticket. In fact, the police had told him his car smelled like pot and ordered him to step outside the vehicle. They then placed him in handcuffs and told him that he was being "detained". The officers were about to detain the other passengers and then perform a search of the car where they no doubt would have found something illegal. Lucky for the driver the officers never got a chance because his idiot friend took off dumping a gun and god only knows what else along the way. So yeah. I would honestly be relieved if my friend did something like that. As for the car getting wrecked? Worst case, it's uninsured and he's out around $1,500. Best case, it is insured and he's able to get something nicer with the payout. Either way, I don't think he really cares because he avoided living the rest of his life with a criminal record.

    Does that surprise you ? If a group is given some privileges, there will always be a large amount of people inside that group that will abuse it. A bit like how a noticeable amount of women abuse the empathy society has for their gender and make false accusations, or try to get away with bad behavior. To begin with, seen from aboard (I'm not American), it seems ridiculous that Floyd became such a martyr, he was everything but a saint and died only because a lunatic cop (that didn't care about color considering what he did to some white people before that) killed him in a semi-accident, albeit with clear brutality. Look at your statistics, how many people of all colors died from cops in the last few years, some from proven police blunder, yet only Floyd attracted so much attention. Right place, right moment, and, right color. That being said, there seems to be a clear problem of police brutality in the US, but I guess it's inevitable in a country in which every single citizen can casually wear firearms, the paranoia is on a completely different level.

    Allergic reactions can and often do produce difficult respiration. Over the last few years there seems to have been a significant increase in allergic reactions to handcuffs. The person can run, yell, and fight with no difficulty. As soon as the cuffs snap shut, breathing IMMEDIATELY becomes a problem. This new disease (HRS-Handcuff Respiratory Syndrome) should become a high priority for medical researchers.
