    And simultaneously hilarious. Imagine this; you are a police officer on the clock. You haven't responded on calls to interfere in your adult daughter's life, harass her and her friends and abuse your position. Then, after what could have taken two to four hours, you get back to the precinct and have to explain yourself to your boss and try to make her believe that you are worthy of the public's trust. "Come on, ma'am! I'm a trustworthy man of the law!" His supervisor, with the recording: "Are you f*cking shitting me?"

    @@ThePokemon11 Oh, I completely agree. Even if he got away with only the loss of his job, it still is a travesty of justice. This should have been punished, because it is illegal.

  • @christopherpoet458

    @christopherpoet458

    8 ай бұрын

    @@thedevilsadvocate788 To be fair, while he isn't going to jail, the consequences he would have and probably did face are quite heavy. Officers found to be guilty of misconduct usually at the minimum will face a demotion and possible department transfer. In worse cases, they are terminated. From an outside perspective, termination sounds like a light slap, but its almost akin to a military dishonorable discharge. Unless I am mistaken, officers discharged on misconduct are either not authorized to work in law enforcement again or, worse, ever again. Additionally, it all goes on record and again, unless mistaken, that never goes away. In terms of kidnapping, not quite. Kidnapping is not as simple as just being taken against your will, though in lighter cases it may be labeled as such for the sake of simplicity. However, the definition of Kidnapping is a bit more savvier. To be considered a kidnapping situation, someone has to be taken both against their will and with intent to inflict harm or abuse on the individual. Now, technically, the definition is a bit more specific but to avoid being flagged by YT's TOS, I will not go into specifics. Just look up on google "what defines a kidnapping charge" and you can get the specifics there. Some states may slightly change their wording. Do do not take this as being 100% universal. Conclusion - If my current knowledge of all this checks out, the officer who arrested the boyfriend and took his daughter should have been discharged from their position, put on record, and given a few years before he could attempt to rejoin the force at a minimum. I personally would make it permanent but I am not the judge so, meh. Secondly, while he did take everyone against their will, there was nothing in the situation to imply an intent to do harm or other extreme offences against those who are taken. That said, the daughter may also have simply chosen not to press any charges. Same for the boyfriend. But I was not there or involved so I can not speak to the specifics of what did or did not happen. That is just my understanding and of course, if anyone knows more and is open to politely correcting anything I have incorrect, you are welcome to say so. Just be nice.

    That first "cop" is an excellent example of a dirty cop. As a Police officer, your duty is to protect and serve, not ignore a literal patrol call in favor of terrorizing his daughter, her boyfriend and their friends just because you don't like the boyfriend. Look, we don't know the context as to why he disliked the boyfriend. His dislike of him could totally be justified for all we know, but that still doesn't give him the right to abuse his power. He's a cop. He should know better. Honestly, all the illegal things shown here, combined with the fact that he ignored a call to do said illegal things should be enough for a prison sentence if you ask me and that poor daughter of his should move out and get a restraining order on the dad

    I saw that one too. The dad handled it well, but I ended up thinking that the cops who initially responded allowed him and the daughter far too many "professional courtesies". It struck me that they would have arrested any other woman her age much sooner, and without allowing the parent to drive out and be present. Nor would they have waited so long before performing a sobriety test. It was kind of them, and I could understand why they were doing it, but it still seemed like a case of "special treatment" because she was a cop's daughter. Not a biggie as far as corruption goes, but it was inappropriate nevertheless.

So with that in mind I can totally see why he considered it confrontational and adversarial that it’s being used against him again when it had already been handled. From the family’s perspective it looked like textbook harassment, especially when the claims are flimsy like “not a complete stop at stop sign” which are hard to prove and are often circumstantial evidence based on simply the cop’s discretion.

The doctor was shocked (we don’t have psychiatrists, they’re temp traveling doctors) the staff wasn’t. One time a cop was so sure I had warrants that he took me to booking but I wasn’t giving my information. He had nothing against me. Someone bailed me out for 10,000 and I never had charges or court. When they tried to get it back they tried to deny it because I was never charged so why did I need bail? If only they had body cameras back then. Scum.

    @@lissieloveskitties Thank you so much for the kind words! Everything is better nowadays. I moved to a small town away from the city. Louisville has had over 3 federal lawsuits at the same time. When one is finished, they get investigated again and sued again. $100,000.00s of dollars and pounds and pounds of Fentanyl have gone missing. Several high-level cops, chiefs and all, have been found dealing Fentanyl around here. Awful. LMPD have beat the absolute crap out of me, in handcuffs or not. I was in cuffs for an illegal search on my home that found some old dusty marijuana that had been under my bed for years. They then tackled me and all 4 sat on me. They got their nightsticks out and only beat me in the knees and head. I actually thought they were going to beat me to death. They ripped up all my books, broke furniture, cut up my bed, broke all my dishes, opened and poured all the food and drinks that I had onto the floor. My very expensive Vodka collection that I had been building up on since I was 21, all taken. They flushed all my psychiatric meds, and stole my pain medicine. They found a glass waterpipe in the other bedroom. They broke it in a grocery bag and beat me in the face with it. After that, I started carrying a gun with me everywhere for if something like that happened again. Denver Lerveret wanted me to buy a kilo of coke and a gun from someone I didn't know in the west end while wearing a wire. When I refused, he tried to put me away for life. He promised me that I would be 80 by the time I got out of max security. He tried to stick me with 4 class A felonies, 3 class B, a class C, and 5+ misdemeanors. the evidence was gone. After paying 10% of my $250,000 bond that took everything that I had, I was charged with one crime. Maintaining a common nuisance. That was the only one they got to stick, and I got 2.5 years probation, although they had me on for 6 months after I was done and locked me up on the last day. Thankfully since they had way overdone the probation time, I got out of that charge. The 2.5 years got added to the already long 12 years of felony probation. Just typing this has me absolutely shaking. The cops here in Sellersburg are very human. They don't fish for crimes to put you away for, unlike city cops. They actually help you. If you are around one of them, the only question they may come up and ask is if you know a good fishing spot or a good BBQ restaurant. They have helped me twice in the last 5 years that I have been up here. I honestly couldn't be more appreciative to them. These guys I actually look up to. What a change!!! My PTSD from the assaults and multiple, multiple, threats on my life and the promise that they would beat me until I couldn't walk, are finally receding, after well over a decade. I am so happy that I made the choice to move. I will be able to get off of the Minipress for PTSD in 6 months. It took decades of therapy, but I finally see the mental and emotional strength in me returning, and the intense paranoia is lessening. Again, thank you so much.
