I relate with this so much. I loved playing piano and producing music but I made them toxic for me by trying to make money of it. Now I judge myself a lot while I play or make something ,thinking it's not good enough . Need to go back to hobby . Thanks.

Love love love this!!! I have always been (subconsciously) trying to exploit my hobbies and interests cause i think i could somehow discover my passion and lead an exciting life and say goodbye to the 9-5 lifestyle. However, things just got worse since im constantly burnout from trying too much and i couldnt afford for my living. I will take your video as a sign for me to learn that life is not about making money and we can just simply live life in the small moments, thanks gurlll❤❤❤❤

Love this!! Monetizing hobbies definitely changes the things that you love! I have things I do on the side, but having a TRUE hobby that you do truly for freedom is a NECESSITY. I’m trying to dive deeper into woodworking as my hobby. You are not your job!

You are 100% right! hobbies are very important, I have experienced this working in a corporate environment, at lunch I would try to bring up hobbies and activities I was quickly shut off and the subject would turn to who's doing what at work, and who will get the next promotion lets all not sleep and work until we are dead, yep I used to bring work home and complete it on the weekends, until finally one day I waked up to myself left my job, took a career break found myself again, I was able to do a lot of outdoor activities, meditation, camping, walking, mountain bike riding it was unreal I felt alive again! And all of a sudden my headaches and chronic pain were gone! I will never neglect my hobbies ever again.

Can so relate to this! I used to love writing but trying to make a living out of it is killing the passion. Why do we feel we need to make a living from our hobby? Making money from it changes the reason we are doing it! Great video ❤

I find myself constantly having to explain this to people. I have a lot of hobbies. Many of them could easily be monetized, and I'm always being asked: "Why don't you sell your stuff? Why don't you do *this* for a living?" I follow my passions at my leisure, and I do it because I love it. If I had to rely on it for a living, and constantly had to cater it to what *other* people want... Then it becomes something I no longer love. It becomes work. It becomes deadlines and stress. And the hobby I loved would become joyless. It would be ruined for me.
