Why YOU should start a cottage garden TODAY! Cottage garden tour. A soulful journey into gardening.
Spending time in your own cottage garden can literally change your life. It can improve your mental health and physical well-being. Join me today as I explore these benefits and hopefully persuade you to give it a try. So many people feel that they can't garden or they don't know how, so they are afraid to try for fear of failure. I want to encourage and inspire you to take that first step into the world of gardening. You won't regret it. I encourage you to follow along as I share every aspect of gardening and cozy cottagecore aesthetics here with you. I am embracing slow living as best I can in this crazy, fast-paced world. Being in nature and seeing flowers grow is an amazing way to relax and immerse yourself in this lifestyle. I play beautiful music and slowly take you through my gardens as I show my daily maintenance routine. It's therapeutic to me and I hope you find it helpful to you, as well.

I discovered your channel just a couple weeks ago. Imagine my surprise when I had a few minutes the other day and grabbed a magazine I hadn't had a chance to read yet..and you were featured in it! Your home is lovely and so my style. I hope you will do an interior tour of your home sometime.❤ also, I just had my small backyard destroyed by the power company clearing lines. I'm livid over what they did. I'll be watching your videos for inspiration to try and make my yard a beautiful place again so I can get my Zen back❤

Oh! Isn’t that wild! I’m so glad you have found me here and there! As winter approaches, I will definitely be moving inside and showing more of my home. Thank you so much for the compliments! I so sorry about the power company!! That sounds like a nightmare to me! I hope you can get some good ideas and help right here!!🌸💗
Beautiful. We have 2 large half moon shaped spaces in front our deck and screen porch and my garden workshop. I dedicated it to the bees, hummingbirds and butterflies. Almost everything is tall so I can see the bees mostly at my eye level. There are all sorts of shrubs like all sizes of hydrangeas but the flowers are mostly wildflowers like 6’ tall hyssop ( a real bee magnet), Bee Balm, wild Back Eyed Susan, climbing roses, Hollyhock, Iris, Lillies, Znnias, Cone Flowers and Foxglove. Over the years as the plants have matured we get more and more bees and butterflies. The birds are always on the ground getting bugs and seeds. Since our screen porch is 30” off the ground we get a wonderful view of the activity. We keep galvanized tubs all around for ease of watering and there are always frogs in them. Its just magical. One of the best bee magnets for late summer is Hyssop. Storms dont knock it over and its medicinal too.

This is a fairytale garden. Love the pathway. I’m so excited to continue to build my garden. It gets better every year.
I have only my tiny garden to grow some flowers and herbs. I don't have enough space, so I use boxes, flower pots etc. to expand the place for gardening. But hope to have a big garden one day. Your video is extremely inspirational ❤

You have a beautiful garden. I would love to know how you started and received the knowledge on which flowers thrive together, how many hours a week do you spend taking care of it, do you suggest a magazine or a book on how to get started or gain knowledge. I wouldn’t know where to start! Also, Can you share the brand of couch you have in your garden cottage? Thank you!!
@clarkcottagegardens

Thank you so much! It certainly is a lot of trial and error over the years! I began by really looking at all the gardens I loved in my zone and trying to figure out what each plant was. I would look up its specifications like sunlight requirements, height, width, and bloom times and then start planting. You can always move things around as they will grow differently in everyone's gardens depending on the conditions. Try to start with a small area and with a few plants you love, in colors that seem to look good together in your mind. Don't worry too much and see how it turns out! I think the couch is a Four Seasons Sofa! I got it back in 2001 and I've had it in storage for years. I love that it has a new life out there!
@AcornHillHomestead

You can start with a small area and expand and build out from there. Flowering trees, shrubs, a bird bath, an obelisk, an old ladder, and the soil. Our half moon bed began after the loss of a big tree. We simply layered cardboard over the grass in fall, then topped it with things like grass clippings, compost, straw, leaves, blood meal and bone meal and topped with woodchips. No tilling. this space was plantable by the following spring as the worms, microbes, fungi and tiny bugs worked their magic over winter. Every bed we have has been done this way including the vegetables. Save money in spring and fall by using bulbs for Lillies and Allium which are such whimsical and no fuss plants en masse and be sure to save those dried spent seed heads for arrangements. Good luck. 🌺
