I can totally relate to what your saying about the pronunciation of words when it comes to plants as a Canadian KZreadr we also pronounce words differently. Sometimes I screw up and say it wrong during a video and don’t catch it when I edit. I am ok with being corrected by other Canadians cause we pronounce things the same. However i wish others would be more understanding of the differences in how we pronounce words in other parts of the world. This is what makes us unique.😊 Much love to you both your garden is amazing!
@perennial-garden

Thank you for that! I say things differently and English is my first language (I am from the south USA tho ;) ) And Lars's Danish accent is also from the south of Denmark, so he sounds different to people from Copenhagen, for example. That's the wonderful thing about having botanical names -- we can call them whatever we want, and yet share the information through those names. :)

The pronunciation question seems to come up for so many KZreadrs. It’s funny though, since even English natives usually pronounce some of them incorrectly. Example being Dahlia which should be pronounced like from German a, not with English a(ei sound). Also, even the pronunciation of church Latin and classical Latin is different, so people can’t agree on certain flower pronunciations even when both are trying to use Latin as the proper pronunciation.😅

@@perennial-garden calendula seeds itself EVERYWHERE! And in copious quantities. And that is an understatement 😂 Calendula and nepeta would take over if I let them 🤣🤣🤣 But I love them, so they stay. Btw, I DO have tons of V. bonariensis seedlings! Yay!

@@perennial-gardenahh must be your climate? I am in the pacific north west. I first rescued a calendula plant from a pioneer graveyard on the coast. The grounds keeper pulled them out and put them in a large pile because so many grew…I reached under the old fence and snatched one! Now it grows and reseeds like mad! I have the good pioneer ghost vibes in my garden now 😉 also I appreciate all the likes and comments you left on my channel 🥰

@@Lea-zf7lm Nepeta for sure... but we (to lars's dismay) don't have that with calendula. V.bonariensis... that will tho! Obviously we don't mind when things get crowded tho 🤣
Your garden has really grown in leaps and bounds! Love seeing it maturing. ❤

Очень естественный и прекрасный сад! Столько полевых цветов. Природный сад. Разнообразие и гармония. У меня также есть некоторые цветы,как и у вас, но я только начинаю формировать сад.

Mine too! We have those, too! They aren't flowering now (they're pretty early flowers for us), so it didn't make the tour either. But we seem to have the same taste in plants :)

Wow... you've got me on a roll with your passion for plants. Another stunner,which I do have,is a helianthemum(rock rose) 'Henfield brilliant'. Don't be put off by the colour on the plant ticket. In reality the bloom colour will astound you😅😅
