It's been over 8yrs and I am still traumatized about the things I came across and have seen on the dark web . I would never suggest anyone to get on the DW. It's crazy how we have so many sick individuals among us. Stay safe out there and protect your children and loved ones. And always remember to be aware of your surroundings. I just recently watched a animated horror episode about someone's experience on the DW. I'm guessing that the criminals behind it might pick off homeless, prostitutes, or runaways as their victims because they know that those people are often overlooked and ignored by society so they won't be noticed if they go missing.

@@SNKRIZE_ Well, I did a bit of research and it looks to me like those Red Rooms on the DW might not actually exist and are just Urban Legend since it would be difficult to livestream such events without being noticed by the countless undercover cops and FBI agents on the DW. The same thing with hiring hitmen or kidnapping people and forcing them to fight in secret gladiator arenas for online viewers.

they use the false iceberg analogy there are very few dark web sites compared to the number of "visible" websites why would you invest time and money into building and hosting a website that hardly anyone will visit? hehe

1. Tor doesn't have any advantages with a VPN. There are 3 hops when you connect over Tor. 2. Tor can't leak your IP, hidden services don't use IP addresses based on how they work. 3. Usually the only reason people get arrested on Tor is bad OpSec, i.e. you pull a Dread Pirate Roberts and show your clearnet email in a StackOverflow post with the poster's username related to the first post about SR

The dark web is crazy, I didn’t really know much about it so I came here

I’ve seen at least 120 dark web videos of just surface level things, such as torture, killings, hits on people on foreign streets being executed, it’s still very hard for my mind to process some of what I’ve seen I wouldn’t suggest going there if you haven’t already been there before. Me personally I’ve seen so many things down the deep dark rabbit hole of the internet that I’ve desensitized myself to the violent and unexplainable and horrific things I’ve seen on it but it’s not a healthy way of opening yourself to a harsher more secretive reality more so it can scar your mind and just have a lasting imprint on your mind that’s the only way I know how to explain it. I just hope and pray I can deter some people from going down that road because it’s very much so a road I wish was untraveled in my personal life but it isn’t so now I just live with it in the best way I can.

For FBI: I was watching dark web related videos because of some disgusting cases that happened on such web, horror stories called my attention. I do not intend by any means to enter the web, I would never enter to a web who can put my family in danger.

Disclaimer -I am her for educations purposes: I like this video because it explains what the dark web actually is, in easy words. I am surprised that I thought the dark web was only criminals. I have never gone [obviously] but now that I am taking computer science classes, we are starting to see just how HUGE and misunderstood the entire internet is.

5:03 Yes it is better to use a trusted VPN with TOR but even without one it is not likely they will trace your IP. Though TOR is not perfect and sometimes an IP can be traced.

Im here just because I'm a young teenager who wants to know what in the world is happening there and why everybody is so crazy about it. I will never in my life go there because the topics discussed here were very triggering to me. I'm here just for educational purposes

I once saw a guy selling shark heads when i was surfing Tor And those sharks were massive btw Like 15 feet based on the head size

If you connect to a VPN provider through Tor, your VPN provider typically knows who you are (or at least has a path back to near you) via your payment arrangements. They can also know you use Tor to reach them. The VPN provider will provide this information to authorities upon request or coercion. This can destroy your anonymity.
