Sometimes I just worry because common sense isn't really common to some people, y'know? 😅 They could endanger themselves (or other people) with what they see/read. So I thought restrictions could be good sometimes. But then on second thought even when people aren't browsing the dark web, they still are endangering themselves anyway so I guess I'm worrying for nothing. Forget what I said. 🤷‍♀️😂

@@diobrando9685 there are relays that most VPNs use that can be traced back to you in combination with the way tor works if you don't pick the correct service. Also, alot of VPNs keep logs and cooperate with authorities on request. They can be useful if you know what you're doing, but the vast majority of people are better of forgoing VPNs. For anyone who claims that red rooms do not exist. Search for Peter Scully. He ran a pay per view torture of children here in the Philippines. Skeletons of 2 children were dug in the house he operated. This is a real case. As a lawyer here in the Philippines, it's still one of the most disgusting and depressing cases i encountered. Yes, you will never see a streaming "red room" you will not just accidentally stumble upon it. It is a private very secured system. If you are not invited, you will not get it. Philippines has to call the FBI and Interpol for help, and it took years just to track him down.

On the second portion talking about the deep web versus dark web. A real example that may clarify. If you access your bank account, you are accessing the deep web. It's a portion of the internet that others aren't supposed to be able to view. Also a good way to "access" the deep web is to remove parts of the address you have, but that mostly just tells you that you need a password. Also inputting some interesting words on various parts of the address puts you on the parts that are mostly hidden. pictures/images is my favourite to try, some sites put the hosted images in a databaselike view in a separate address or even server. Older sites work better for that. It's not really useful on even illegal to access those usually, just makes you feel like a hacker. And yes that's the deep web. Not the dark one. And yep0 most of the internet is hidden that way, and the amount you see is just the tip of the iceberg so to see, partially because you aren't supposed to see databases of peoples health data or bank data, or the background stuff that makes the pages work.

Actually they wouldn't even need to put it on the dark web, they could just straight up send videos to each other or make a private room on some platform... I mean there are billions of people using them and unless the people involved say anything there's no way authorities would find them. They can't monitor every private group on Facebook and the profiles could be fake profiles they use for a bit and then ditch. I dont think they would even need to go to the dark web, in fact that would probably make them more likely to be tracked. I think they just figure out ways to do it on the regular old web, its just private and use code words and only use the profiles a couple times or maybe only once. The guy in New Zealand streamed himself shooting up that mosque and because it obviously got everyone's attention it got taken down, but what if he was in an isolated area and was only streaming to select friends who also kept it on the DL.... SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT
