    Great info and thanks for including us as one of the options! Milwaukee is very strict about this with their dealers and appear to stop selling to other dealers who sell through Amazon anyway. Follow up support is something they take very seriously. As a warranty repair center of course happy we take warranty repairs from any legit source, we do tons from the local Orange Boxes but can't do anything off Amazon or Ebay, you'd also be shocked at how good some counterfeits are getting...

    M18, N18, O18 or P18...is there really a difference? (Just kidding...please don't flame me!) I only get my tools from reputable dealers and stores that stand behind the products they sell. It just isn't worth the trouble purchasing them through pirated sources on Amazon. Besides, with all the sweet deals we hear about from all the KZread personalities we know and love, why would you need to take a chance on pirated or possibly stolen tools from shady characters like Clint's evil twin? 🤣😂🤣

    Sadly, when I buy a power tool I am never worried about the warranty. Why you ask, well it's because they make it so hard and expensive to get a tool warrantied or they will find a loophole not to warranty the tool, it's just not worth the hassle to me to try and get it warrantied. I'm a Dewalt man and in the 25 or 30 plus years I've been buying Dewalt I have only ever had one tool fail. It was a drill, old 18 volt model and that was from high use, abusive use from trying to do more with the drill than it was ever designed to do. It did however last for many, many, many years before giving up the ghost. Now obviously if I'm spending many thousands of dollars on a big, heavy tool, warranty does matter.

    That's some very good info to know. Warranties are important to me and knowing Amazon is selling tools that might not have the 3 year or whatever warranty I'm used to isn't cool. I always make sure the stuff I buy on Amazon is sold by Amazon and NOT a 3rd party... I don't like dealing with 3rd party sellers personally. Any ways, good to know info and I shared this on Facebook too! =)

I was going to own up to my mistake and buy another battery since it was my fault for letting it dry up. My mom mentioned Amazon had them for cheaper after she had looked into getting another battery as well and knowing the "in-house" brands thing I immediately said I wanted to look into it first. Thanks again, I'll be making a trip to HD in the near future and being more responsible as well :P

    Thank you. Just saw this in time. I have purchased many tools just out of convenience from Amazon and quick shipping. I had a Dewalt D36000 wet saw I was about to purchase. It was from the Dewalt store but under warranty information it said warranty may or may not be valid depending on who it's purchased from. 🤔 I'll just order from Depot and have it delivered to the house. Amazon was $75 cheaper but a valid warranty is worth more than $75 on a tool this expensive.

    This is INCORRECT INFORMATION! I'm a pro seller of liquidation Ryobi, Milwaukee, and Ridgid on Amazon. All 3 of those brands DO provide the OEM warranty from secondhand sellers. The catch is that the product MUST have never been previously registered, and the warranty begins at date of manufacture, NOT date of purchase when bought from a reseller. I've tested this myself, and it works in every situation except with the Ridgid Lifetime service warranty (which you need an original receipt from an authorized dealer and must be registered within 90 days of purchase).

  • @muskiefishing9219

    @muskiefishing9219

    Are you sure. You might be a registered dealer. But that doesn't mean there aren't other dealers selling counterfeit knock offs. I've seen a guy on KZread comparing a Milwaukee tool from home Depot. And a look-alike Milwaukee tool from Amazon for a hundred dollars less. Which one do you think he bought. Then he returned the one from home Depot. Well he might regret his decision after the tool he keeps, breaks and can't get a warranty claim.

  • @VHGbham

    @VHGbham

    8 ай бұрын

    @@muskiefishing9219 yessir, I am sure, about the stuff I said, anyway. We specialize in liquidation stuff direct from the liquidation division's of the 16 major US retailers, and trained techs verify every item we sell, so we can provide our own warranty and verify the validity of the eligibility of OEM warranty, but I'm sure you're 100% right about the Amazon scam crap and the knockoff sellers. But in my experience, those type of sellers don't survive long on Amazon without clearly advertising their stuff is fake. The main point I'm trying to make is that aside from the lifetime service warranty offered by Ridgid (sold under license by TTI, owned by Emerson), all the brands this guy is noting can be legitimately registered for the remainder of the OEM warranty no matter where or when or how you got 'em, at least from date of manufacture with a valid serial. Those serials are difficult to fake, but you'll only know you got scammed after ordering. But hey! The good news is that Amazon has an extremely, insanely-forgiving return policy...which is prolly part of why they take 25-75% of the money from every sale we make on their platform. 😜

Or IF I want Craftsman, Hitachi/Metabo HPT and Bosch I buy them @ Lowe's or any Licensed Retailers. I never buy tools in Amazon. You should have cautioned viewers to pay attention to the term "refurbished ". Several items I got still had the Home Depot RTV labels on the carton where the item was returned with a defect or fault. HD might have returned it to the manufacturer's service facility, or they simply liquidated the tools by the pallet to others who in turn repacked or removed in brown boxes to be sold on Amazon or eBay. A bargain? No, as several items still had obvious defects or broken parts that were never repaired. HD now has a posted return policy requiring customers to send tools directly to the manufacturer's service facility for repair if they are outside the allowed return period.

    Help! Please tell me what brand is best for a cordless brad nailer with good batteries. I saw your video on Ryobi and their stackable batteries. I want a good product that will last. I will buy it in a store only. It’s a Christmas gift for my daughter, but of course Mom will be borrowing it too! She borrows everything I have so I can’t get anything done! Thank you! I trust you to send me in the right direction. Right now I have a Sears Evolve with an air compressor that makes too much noise! Ugh, cords!!

    The sellers are buying bulk pack tools that go on sale. They break up the sets and sell them. That simple. No warranty when breaking them up.

    When I buy Tools from Amazon ,I always get an option to extend the manufactures warranty ,also if I feel the tool is defective , I call A and get a return tag , No questions asked .Can I say that about the MOM & POP Hardware stores ,Sadly no. I quit buying local 15 yrs ago and will never buy local due to poor warranty/return policy's . Amazon , Lowes or HD is where 99% of my tool $ is tossed .

    Milwaukee doesn't allow you to register a tool or battery...its determined by the serial number

    @ 8:47, it clearly shows the seller, on the right side of page: "Jeff's Garage"... No I spoke directly to "Jeff", he assured me that it's covered, he even said "TRUST ME BRO". So stop your slander, lol. Joking, good video, and you are 100% correct about warranties on Amazon.

    Haven't had a problem with warranty with Milwaukee. I run it through my local dealer that fixes Milwaukee. They are authorized. The tool has a serial number and that's what it's based on. This guy might be blowing some smoke. I could buy a 4 1/2 year old broken tool as long as the serial number is there and get it fixed no problem. Serial numbers have a date code in them
