How does that prevent getting caught in under brush. Is the under brush found only on one side of the foot?

Well it's not perfect but there is a better chance of both loops getting caught at the same time wich would reduce the risk of getting undone at once

The second type is not so great.. Doesn't look good and no real purpose..
