Why You Should Be Trail Running
Trail running allows its participant to form a unique connection with nature. A select group of individuals express how trail running enables them to "decompress from the day," and how the activity acts as "mental therapy."

Trail running is my escape from reality. It's my meditation
TLDR: A group of people get out of the city for the first time, we watch their reaction.

That sums it up. I wonder why this video exists, as though running in the countryside is something new and not something that possibly millions do worldwide already.

Yousha Ahmad I'm very happy to see that you have that access to nature like so (as it is implied). But for those of us who barely have any access to nature need a reminder once in a while. And videos such as this serves as such a reminder.

BlueBetaPro It's like the rebranding of 'outdoor swimming' as 'wild swimming'. I love going out to lakes and rivers for a swim, but if that doesn't appeal to you in itself, a new name is unlikely to cause you to develop a lasting passion for it.

Stephanie L Rebranding isn't usually intended with developing lasting passion. Rebranding is meant to increase that initial attraction to the product on sale.

LuiKang043 Rebranding can be done for either reason. The point is that the activity itself hasn't changed - it's just a trendy new name hipsters are using for something that has been done for ages.
I'm a trail runner and I love trailrunning its the best
Yep, can totally relate to these guys. Like they said, it is like therapy or meditation in motion ... finding peace within.
I recently discovered trail running for myself and absolutely fell in love with it. I ran in different landscapes, starting at lush pastures, to forests, to deserts and dry ridges. Did both morning and night runs. Every run is unique. Every run is perfect. To really enjoy running, one should understand what he or she is running for. Those who do it, just for the sake of it, will never understand what trail running is really about. You do connect with the earth under the soles of your shoes. This is where we belong. On a side note, pouring any amounts of alcohol into your body, after an exercise is a bad habit. Same goes for smoking. Wait At least an hour or two before poisoning yourself. Cheers.

Running on trails is so addictive and therapeutic 🏃♀️🏃♀️💚
The best way to clear my mind , so much clarity after a long run in nature. Connecting with the terrain with full presence. Getting back to the Raw quality of life, back to our deepest layers. Trail running have a lot of potential for transformation .. :) happy running to all
Awesome I love trail running! Thanks for promoting, see you on the trail.
On my bucket list! :) Just need to move next to the mountains first lol
Just started this June. Hoping to get far and enjoy. :)
I semi agree with them. I love to trail run, its a great release! However, I use it as an escape from the busy life, not a time to process the week.

You should check out hashing. The hash house harriers is an international club of runners. They some times call themselves as a drinking club with a running problem.

Hi guys can I use your video on a website am creating for a charity event encouraging trail running? -James
Thanks for all the efforts for making this informative video. I watch some of your videos and they are all amazing. Keep up the good works. I've recently started my KZread channel on trail running and hiking. I appreciate your support to take a look into my channel. Cheers, from Vancouver, Canada.
I've hiked these same trails and have seen people trail running in increased numbers. Seems like it would be really fun but also perhaps dangerous, especially if you catch a protruding root or lose your footing and end up tumbling down a ravine at running speed.

Where is this ?
song name
I like running on trails so much that I made a motivational video about it.
Where is this
I need friends like this , WHERE ??? My Sunday morning ritual is part black part woods . Nothing like this beautiful landscape but I make the best of it here in NY.

Trains can take you to great spots near NYC. Trails around Bear Mtn, Harriman Park and Hudson Highlands are quite beautiful. However, with the roots, rocks an uneven trails, they are quite a bit harder than west coast trails.
totally agree
Must be a short run without water. I run 2 peaks in alberta and total atleast 25 km a day every Sunday. 6 litres is a must if your running that much on a somewhat hot day
i enjoy letting the creature loose and feel it run through the woods. the creature loves it.
exciting on my first coming 50k run ..
perdiendo mis miedos amo el trail running
As a Christian, I enjoy trail running because I 'see' God when I run through the trails. As a creature, it is amazing to run through God's creation, and it helps me fixate my heart and mind on God when I run, I love it!
Yeah! I love trail running! It's like running in heaven!
I'm so jealous ... You have a lot of space to roam running ....
I knew I recognized these hills! Just watch out for those mountain lions. Everywhere.
I don't have mountains or even hills where I live, I guess I substitute for barefoot sand running on beaches.
I have a hard time running anywhere but a trail now. Everything else seems so monotonous!
I run in Bernal heights
And I live in the Netherlands with no mountains or even hills.
9/10 times I would fall on the side of the hill while attempting to trail run.
Was it really necessary to put the negative comment of that guy?
waht about Mountainbiking ?

I once heard that "Trail running is just hiking for the impatient" .. somewhat true
Does anyone else find it weird that this video is sponsored by a beer company?
The trails around Redding and the Whiskeytown Lake area are pretty much trashed for now. Nature will always make a comeback.
Brought to you by Michelob Ultra haha
Nothing compares to trail running while totally pissed on Michelob Ultra.
Dang. Kateri is hot.
:D The guys second name on the left at 0:58 is "Schwanz", in German it is a word for "Penis" :D ..... sorry sorry.... Im know serious again... so its really a good video and I really enjoyed the scenes where they run in the natur !
Amazing video, run and trip. Check out our channel and find the video from the danish trailrun North Coast Ultra - that was a great run.
"Brought to you by Michelob Ultra"......yea, I'm sure they really care about health and fitness and nature.
I took up trail running two weeks ago. Watching this video makes me want to stop. It's running. Where there's dirt. Let's not pretend we're saving the universe here
Very nice kind of activity but remember one thing - never run down the hill especially steep one, your knees will serve you much longer then.
Yeah man. Totally. Decompress from your 9 to 5 by stomping over pre-made paths and viewing the sites whiz by. You'll feel, like, at one with nature, man.

BallawdeQuincewold Give it a try before you diss it. I'm a former collegiate track athlete so I've had a lot of great experiences running. However I can honestly say trail running with a group of friends was the most enjoyment I got out of running and I will continue it now that I am fresh out of college.

ck9292 I've been running in forests and on trails since I was a kid. I'm dissing their yuppie attitudes about it being therapy to "connect" with nature in such an unnatural way.
ha ha ha. I just see them running from mountain lions. Grew up out there and I'm lucky I wasn't eaten.
If you want trail running check this out: instagram.com/mattshryock/
Lol. I prefer running on trails more than the streets. However, this whole thing about how you "become one with nature" is completely overblown and kind of stupid. If you want to be one with nature, go off trail and camp out in the woods. Go kill some small game and roast it over an open fire.
TIL trail runners are the running equivalent of vegan dieters

just say I enjoy running. its not that amazing dude. seriously. if you want to be in nature, you could camp out and rough it. I just dont see how someone appreciates the landscape when they dont stop to look at anything.
This is so up itself it can smell tomorrow's feces
trail running...but do you even lift?
