(1:53:04) and joined the top 100 🎉💯 This time, prioritising nitro power up so I skipped other power-ups. And yeah, never lost track of boost, ever! I gotta thank you again for this improvement! 🙌🏽 On another note, I also today pushed both Kristoff and Hans to Champion MPR 31 😅 All on the same day, lol. Guess that's a silver lining ;) I did so to get 500 tokens to spend on the Wall-E gacha box, hoping to get epic Hal. But nah, got common PR-T instead :( I would have taken Auto, much better choice 🤧 Now I can't farm that many tokens again since my characters are all super high ranks :/ Should I spend five bucks on this box? Idk 😓

Holy, that's awesome! Great job on the time and the 31 mprs! I think if you really like WALL-E it's worth it. HOWEVER, they usually run an event after for shards and crew, I'd wait it out and see.

Took me a while to realise the main advantage of Wall-e's trash is to sustain the boost not the mini boosts you get, those are more of a bonus.

This has been driving me nuts because I've used every attempt I had and was stuck outside top 5% with a 57.7. Watched this, drifted less and took a full second off it. Hopefully that's enough. Thank you so much.

Congrats to everyone that's been able to accomplish top 15% or top 5%! I may step out of place but I can't help feel like a mama bear being so proud of all of you! I actually learned a lot from this video. I feel like I've been bashing my head against a wall trying to get top 5% and I think a big reason why is because I try to drift 24/7 like the pros. I guess the big question that this video left me with is: What is more important? Drifting frequently to maintain Nitros? or riding out the Nitros in straights and only drifting at turns/shortcuts to maintain control of my kart?

If you're running out and you need the nitros to get past the section, drift. If you're about to run out of nitros but have an item, coming up on an item, a jump, a rail, best to ride it out.

Just like POWL says you dont have to drift 100% of the time Poke, you loose a ton of speed when you tried to drift and fail sometimes the best choice is just to drive :D

If I have my nitros and I'm using a shortcut, would you reccomend still drifting? I struggle with that cause I'm banging into a wall occasionally and I know that's adding precious seconds to my runs... I do think I should practice on an empty track. Man, if I could use Belle or even Meg, I know I could get a much better time. Oh well. Lots of stuff to work on...

Yes, if you feel you can land the drift. But that shortcut right AFTER the airflow jump section has the barrier going INSIDE of the shortcut. If you think you're not lined up properly before drifting, I suggest riding through it. It's very hard. The best thing if you really want to learn the lines is just to take it into practice and you'll be able to get a feel for where your character needs to be every single time to make that drift without smacking into the wall there.

Jump as the boost is about to end in each charge (you can also jump right before it kicks off), there really is no "technique". (I used to think there was before I figured it out) I honestly don't think it does that much for you though, it's kinda like if you REALLY want to, but it's not make or break imo. It can work with any dash or boost.

Nah man. Trust me, I've logged in 160+ hours into the game. These time trials got me struggling. And I consider myself an average/above average player. As with any game, you learn the ins and outs and you will become a better player....👍

Yea..It's pretty rough. The best thing I can recommend is just keep at it and improve one thing every time. I think playing in local play and getting used to the track will help as well.

as of right now there are 79,834 people in this cup so you need to be at least 3,991 place to get top 5%, in case anyone was wondering
