Clocks are by far the dumbest thing in this game, I don't care what anyone says. I'd rather they put rubber banding in the game than just have someone teleport past me right before the finish lline when I've had the lead the entire race

Thank you for reminding players that its not on them if they're not able to catch up if stunned couple times. I think lot of people get demotivated as they think they're just bad in comparison to others when in reality its the game mechanics that are just way too punishing. Keep spreading the word. I love this game but its a rough place for newcomers..

what vi hate about multiplayer is no matter how high a level you are you are always in a race with players upto 20 levels higher than you - eg you are lv 15 you will race mainly lv25 players but also upto lv35 players - so you level up to 25 and then you race players 35+ upto lv 45, so if you drive good you finish 5th to 8th

As someone who felt forced to play ranked because it was the only reliable way of fast tracking characters to that 2 star mark at a decent pace. I am absolutely excited for the new weekly rewards system that gives character shards daily. Finally another avenue to star up characters that doesn't involve online play, box rng, or hoping for handouts from events. Nothing makes me more uncomfortable in games, is being forced into pvp modes. I was never into that. But felt I was forced to do so here

I know! I am very excited they decided to help newer players and give them a way to grind up a character of your choice! That's what I expected for season 4 F2P launch. Like you said, no one should be forced to pvp just to get materials that are necessary to play comfortably. I'm glad they are listening to the community to make things better. Now we need some matchmaking and new modes!

Confused new weekly rewards ? Are u on about the advent thing that gives u 1 shard or the event racer up which gives u 2 and u can’t do it again from what I gather u can do it on other characters every 23hrs and u get 2 shards but u can’t do it again,u still need to play rank to get more shards and blue currency and to get gear parts still feels extremely forced shouldn’t be so high for certain rewards like 25 in rank is the gear parts which is hard to get to that rank is stupid and u can only earn the rank rewards once which is dumb af

Yes, the new event let's you upgrade your racer of choice slowly every few days. It's a great start, but when you have a lot of racers you want to upgrade it can take a while. Seems like the most valuable part about the event is the high level upgrade parts that were difficult to get last season (Next to the shards you will accumulate in the long run). I'd say always save some season coins saved for when your favorite racers you are trying to upgrade quicker pop up in the shop. We now have more shop refreshes during the day so maybe it will help out with getting more shards. Then once you build up your stars you will have a better feeling in ranked, things will be a little smoother for you.

I only played ranked to get tokens to get the season pass. It would be great if there was another way to get them for free.

This explains why regardless of my skill level in other racers (kart racers to keep this simple like Sonic's, Mario's, and Crash's) I lose ridiculously more often in this game. I already knew there was a P2W system n this game and that leveling up gives you a better chance at success (a quote in the game even says this). Actually hearing this from someone with experience though hits different. The points being raised about that and the lack of proper competitive balance/ranking is what will make this one of my shorter competitive online played games.

Yea, I do think they will do something about it next season (unless they surprise us). Next season is 2 months away, hope it's not too long of a wait if they do plan on doing something. As I said though, it is how they wanted the game designed, so honestly, I'm not really sure if they plan to do anything. Just saying it's possible given how much changed in such a short time.

I would say they either add a new regulated ranked that works like a mix between ranked and regulated or change ranked to have a sort of regulated play. Each rank like Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, etc will have different levels. They could have it so you need to have a racer over said level and Gold requires 15 so to get through the first 3 you don't need to be above 1 star. That would make ranked more fair while still making people want to level up racers for ranked. You could also have ranked still use crew members to separate it from regulated and the crew members like the racers will be stuck on certain star levels so you won't have a 5 star epic at bronze. So Bronze to Gold your crew will be 1 star and so on. You would also still be able to compete with lower level racers and crew, but it would be harder since a lot of people would wait to level up their racers first.

Glad I found this video! Thank you, you've raised some great points. Ranked is so unbalanced that it's frustrating but not in a fun way. Mario Kart is frustrating but in an enjoyable way and could play online for hours and wouldn't get demotivated. I can't even think of a way gameloft could even fixed ranked.

Something i really really hate on ranked, first is that when the race is starting, wtf do i want to watch the other players and i have a good connection, why everybody else start like 5 or 6 seconds before, thats literally not fair. And the other thing is why is for example im in last place, they just give me shields or fire thing, im in last place damn it, just give me the watch thingy or whatever is called, its literally not fair at all.

They said they won't be able to fix it due to hardware limitations. PS4, Xbox one, switch all may start later. Computers can too potentially. I thought that was always weird though, Speedstorm is not particularly a hard to run game. But I also have no clue how coding works. 👀

Wat kinda puts me off for mp matches is the fact they deduct points if ur not 1st 2nd or 3d n when it came out rage quits were gladly aceepted where if u knew u wernt gna get zip from the match u leave n protect the score u had now its they deduct at platnium rank n rage quit penalty 100 points off ur leveling score soo its like lose -lose ur fearful of continuing grade leveling cause uk if u dnt win they deduct if u quit they deduct more

I 100% know where you're coming from. If someone is going to auto-win based on stats, you're going to lose anyway. There should be fewer points taken when matchmaking pairs you with unwinnable odds.

Firstly, wow, congratz Lofton 👏🏽 Top 100 with Gantu is tough, but awesome u got there 🎉 Also, wow this is a brave video you've done. It is true, it feels scary to play at higher ranks, like I told Lofton too, I pushed as hard as possible, but idk where else to go even after playing so well. We hv to buy more shards to star up and then comfortably climb 😔 I guess over time, hopefully, they'll bring more balance changes and fix the glitches. It is good you got this out there to newer players. Like Mike Wazowski, it's too weak to play as him in higher ranks. Also, the sandbagging here is worse than Mario Kart. The ramming issue, yes, upsets me a lot and gets me sad. Thanks so much for clearing that up 🙏🏼 I sometimes thought the issue is me, but I see now how the problems are stacked against us 😢 I can't imagine how the newer players will be feeling after grinding ranked :(

Thank you! Yea, it'll be rough for new players. But with the lowered prices, more materials for them, and faster rotating shops; at least it won't be as hard as it was for previous new players. Also, you know me. I don't put things out unless I do my research and test and test....and test. LMAO. I really want players to know it's the game, not their skill. With time they will get there, but forcing it will lead to a lot of disappointment. With a Disney game, that should never be an emotion you feel. Hah.

I agree. I talked to customer service about my issue getting repeats in the MP box. They said I will get repeats I'd my rewards were gained elsewhere...what the? How does that make sense? Anyways, they said they'd pass on how I feel to developers... Did you notice they said they're lowering store prices and we're getting compensation? I got Jasmine to level 35, so I'm good for this season. I almost felt like grinding to get one more season token, but didn't see the point...lol.

One thing I find that helps is when you're trying to overtake someone is NOT to stay right behind them. I honestly don't go out of my way to ram people. I actually had a 1v1 race last night. It was crazy, but kinda relaxing. He edged me out by less than 100th of a second, but it was pretty chill...🤟

really funny. i playing that game since season 4 and for me gantu is indeed one of the best characters in the game. hes voicelines are cool, too. im mostly first or second place with him. my favorite at this time.

I've lost rank a few times because people behind me got a chain of those stupid clocks and flew past right at the end. It's so annoying, Ranked is the only good source of some rarer shards as well such as Oswald etc... I like the game and I hate myself for liking it because if we're honest most of the mechanics are terrible.

Does not matter my level i was a level 15 in races with level 30s i get to level 40 i am always in races with level 50s pay to win is not fair for the fact not everyone has all yhat money to spend on a game which gives the people woth more cash than sense a clear advantage

Top 4 place means more points for grinding ranks faster while bottom four means less points for grinding ranks slower for ranked multiplayer (winning is the only option & losing is not a option when it come to grinding ranks that's the true) i am only doing this mode for the rewards that's it

Today was pretty good so far. I got really lucky with the Frozen season tokens and already unlocked all the Frozen characters except for Anna. I surprisingly already have Hans at 3 Stars. I also finally was able to unlock Baloo and Jack Sparrow. Lastly I finally unlocked all 24 trophies on Playstation. Have fun and good luck everyone!

I totally agree with you That’s some good research and has made game needed for me having this mindset That’s being said it’s still my favorite kart racer ever This going to do rank with all characters I have only to platinum I actually enjoying upgrading. Characters I not upgrading to win but I just enjoy upgrading It one thing that keeps me engaged I do and will invest money where I think it’s worth it and not where I don’t see it worth it Not tying to e even good I just enjoy playing the different characters I never been competitive with any game so this game if fun with for me As you said it’s still a fun game

What also sucks is that I played so many hours during early access and grinded tf outta characters and daily challenges / events and after all that they just let everyone come in and start buying everything .

I’ve never had all these glitches that you mentioned outside of going too fast and the game not really loading stufff in but I don’t even think you mentioned thatv

Yea, older generation consoles load in slower. This means sometimes the race is already going by the time they load in.

I havent paid any money for this game and from my experience its torture once you hit MPR 31 champ rank Got Jasmine to top 10 in the world but i cant hit MPR 36 because i just get 1v1 races against Pay to win founders with maxed out characters

No, if anything vs bots, stars don't matter. It'll always be coded to match your level/speed. I've tested this.

It'll drop you down points, but it doesn't reset the rank to rookie. I haven't logged in yet, but that's usually how it works. (hard reset usually means everyone drops back down to the start)

Ranked can test skill sometimes but at the same time pay to win sometimes ruin the fun of ranking up. Due to how competitive players. Ranked very unfair with the points system especially when you start losing points or you lose a race. It’s long tedious & a waste of time. It’s even harder to obtain these rewards. No one likes losing & no one likes losing points especially when a less skilled player is there. Pay to win is basically ruining the game. It even becomes to beat players especially when you reach a higher level. My highest level so far is Grand Champion. I’ll probably get Ultimate Champion but if this game killed my mood then I won’t bother or care about getting ranking up. Good thing Season happens a day before my birthday.

Seems odd that you never mention the Regulated Mode for this game- a whole ranked system complete with leader boards where star powers and crew are equalized. It even lets you use guest racers if you haven't unlocked them. Could the rewards be better? Yes. But there are zero rewards for Mario Karts ranked system.

Yeah i don`t know why most people don`t just admit it. The game is literally pay to win. Ceqqu will not win as a level 1 against level 35s, only if they really really bad, but the average level 20 will 100% beat lvl 1 top players, its like putting a high speed car against a low speed one, it`s physics, you can`t deny it. Also thanks for reminding me this, i got into this game with the mindset of "this is not a competitive game so if you lose just laugh it off" but i kinda forgot about it along the way.

Of course. I felt the same way until I just had to come to the realization of what the game is, not what we all want it to be. You learn to enjoy it more from that perspective and you won't be so hard on yourself. (by yourself i mean me)

I picked up this game two weeks ago, loved it at the start even got my friends into it. The issue right now is were starting to realize how unbalanced and jank this game truly is and were actually starting to get mad at the game more and more then enjoy it. Time Clock is a STUPID gimmick, Our games are literally 80% Jasmines, Mike Wazoski's, Elizabeth's and SteamBoat Mickey, The Hitboxes are in accurate AF for items, peoples abilities and stage obstacles, some boosts/ramps on maps arent proper working boosts and boost you off the map, TALKING ABOUT YOU DISNEY MICKEY AND FRIENDS MAP! Were also starting to realize how stupidly P2W the game is.

Its not a bad game I should say, but this games idea of balancement isn't it. Also the biggest gripe is the moment you realize if you've been leveling up a bad character and working your ass off to get them up your always gonna get outshined by the Better character especially if a characters ultimate isn't a game changer, road blocker, controllable, or give enough boost. I’m fine with the ranked mode being a progression lock. It gives me something to work towards and I love trying to win while underlevelled. As you said Lofton, people shouldn’t expect the game to be like other ranked game modes and that’s fine. Even games like Mario kart and Overwatch don’t really have a great competitive matchmaking system, despite bring more skill based so playing regulated feels the same as those games. The experience I’ve been having as a FTP has been nothing but fun.

You clearly don't play the MP long enough then. A lot of races are brutal as hell and in a lot of cases a single hit will mess up any chance at higher ranks for the entire race. No amount of skilled racing and generous items will save that, unless maybe the space-travel rare item. The fact that it's extremely difficult even so much as consistently getting 4th place is literal insanity. Being under leveled is an especially miserable experience in this game. Gotta love that unique Disney Speedstorm experience to where despite using the same item as someone theirs is far more powerful and impact then yours. Hit someone with your underpowered spinning red blade and see how long they're stunned compared to your underpowered Lv1-2 one you throw at someone.

Ranked multiplayer to me is the worst part of this game. I only play it to get tokens and upgrade parts because I don't want to spend money on this game because of how pay to win it is

in season 1-2 when the p2w was at its lowest i was 5th overall in ranked sadly ranked has gotten worse and worse and if your not spending hundreds of dollars each season top 10 ranked is not possible. i would say if your looking for skill and balance the regulated time trails are the way to go and thats where the true skilled players are on top. theres not a single player in the top 10 overall ranked thats actualy there beacuase of skill thats just the reality of this game

I just get level 20 on every character i have i tried to get higher rank with Jasmin but i just have 3 stars on her SO it's complicated to get it

Yea, it's a bit rough. Especially when playing later at night (my time). Lobbies start becoming small, meaning you have a higher chance for higher levels and stars.

People should just stick to the single player game then yes alot of people do be cheating in multiplayer ranking this game was made too first grade you no matter how much you put resources in your character you will not succeed as much as others if they don't clear this up a lot of people will stop playing and they will report the developers because this game is not balance but the biggest complaint for a lot of people that they cannot win no matter how much they put resources in their characters no matter how much faster they are they are the game is 100% rigged ones you crime to the top this game will have you pulling your hair out when you lose alot and a lot of player they be playing offline because crossover Play there are people with high rankings than you and you can still and that's the problem is the ranking system and the people that you go against be having higher MPR if I'm at level MPR 0 why am I going against people that's higher than me with a new character they character level might be 16 mpr or 28 MPR that's truly insane and can't win like that the ranking system need to have a factory reset because this game can get a whole lot worse than we thought I have seen people with higher levels are slowing down I don't know maybe this game is telling us something it's 100% rigged the developers rigged it for a reason

You can so tell he just jumped in when it went free to play because anyone who was there for season 1 to 3 when it was not free knows that it’s pay to win fare as playing ranked but even if you was not there before it went free to play would know it’s pay to win if you did any bit of research about it then it’s not big news that it’s pay to win people was saying this way before it was even free to play I mean they had 3 seasons before they even went free to play so what does that tell you
