Like mine a lot, bought it almost 5 years ago; Put the grounds and water in, put the caraffe in, a few minutes later I have up to 60oz of delicious coffee that stays hot and fresh for hours.
I think the main thing about the Moccamaster for me is that its not overloaded with bells/whistles that I will never use:)

Sorry, Moccamaster just does NOT make that great a cup of coffee. Other machines are better, also SCA approved and are less expensive. I returned mine and switched to OXO 8. Makes the best small batches, including single cup. Zwilling and Cafe Specialty are also superior to the Moccamaster. The Ratio Six, which is pricey, makes better coffee than any moccamaster. Times have changed and there are simply better options out there that leave Technivorm in the dust.

Since we're just saying whatever pops into our heads, I live in a supposedly 'coffee' town, and NOBODY here knows what coffee is supposed to taste like. It's all sh!t. Everywhere. Stale, disgusting dishwater sh!t. So, I'll take your two cents with a dump truck full of salt. Personally, I use a moka pot, but don't like the amount of manual interaction required. I'm lazy.

I just bought mine. I haven't tried. But the reviews all state this brewer is tops. I got EXTREMELY tired of inconsistent brews, different tastes... either to strong/weak I needed STRONG yet balanced ssmmooootthh brews... this will deliver I'm certain 🎉

Hi I have the same Moccamaster with steel carafe. But I have a problem! While its brewing coffee it leaks from below the basket onto the main body facing wall. I've tried washing the basket and loving the non-drip switch but to no avail. Has any of you Moccamaster fans any idea what's causing this constant dripping ? Many thanks, G in France
Looks like need to drill another hole at the far end of the shower end to help soak the grounds.
Did you say the button on the select that reduces flow reduce the temperature of the hot plate?

Yes She did. Button use water speed, 1/2 = faster, 1/1 slower. It change temperature to hot plate too, 1/2 is less hot than 1/1. I have 1 button Moccamaster.
