Link for that Maldon Salt, Sea Salt Flakes amzn.to/3nZCKU9
Add a thin layer to the bottom of a tin.
Smoke on a low setting for 1 1/2 Hours. If your pit does not add lots of smoke add a smoke tube.
At 1 1/2 hours, mix and spritz.
Raise the temp to 275f and smoke till you reach the desired brownness and smokiness. Spritz with plain water every 30 minutes or so till finished.
Remember the longer you smoke and spritz and mix. The more smoke you'll get!!
Taste as you go!!

You know, you made me think. I buy smoked salt and never ever thought about doing it myself. It’s so simple to do, and cost effective. Great how to video Tommy.

Very cool. I tried this once with kosher salt, but now know it didn't smoke near long enough, and my temp was a little too high, and I didn't even think about a spritz. Great tips. Thanks.

I love Maldon Sea Salt and have smoked it a couple of times using just a smoke tube and a frying pan spatter guard so the smoke can get to all sides. Unfortunately, you can't smoke much at one time since it is spread thin on the spatter guard. I will have to try using a foil pan and fire up the smoker. Thanks for the idea.

Tommy my Man, all salt is not equal. I just order some real mineral salt from Utah. I will send you a sample when I get it. Ancient million year old salt with trace minerals we need. Not evaporated sea water. More to come Bro

Recently found a good and fast (translate as lazy) but good for a nice smoke taste for non-smoker food form Kinder's seasonings "Wood Smoked Garlic". Found it at Costco here in Houston but have also seen it recently at Krogers. Real nice on breakfast 🍳 egg dishes.
