Made notes for myself: 1. Consider your height, if you're short you have less room for mistakes. 2. Don't limit yourself to only chunky sneakers. 3. Tuck your top to follow the rule of thirds. 4. Add something that will give a slimming effect (e.g. fitted shirt, denim jacket). Wearing baggy with baggy can swallow you up. 5. Wear slimmer sneakers, experiment and see which ones work. If wearing boots with a slimmer top, you can cinch your pants into them. 6. Let your pants lay on your sneakers. 7. Cuff your pants or try out cinched/cropped pants. 8. Add some colour, if a pair of pants doesn't feel right swap out the shoes for coloured ones. 9. If you're not comfortable wearing baggy pants yet, wear them at home and walk around in them to get used to them. 10. You may not be going baggy enough, try relaxed fit and balloon pants so you'll know how baggy you want to go.

I spent my entire teenage years in the 2010's wishing Baggy pants were still trendy instead of seeing skinny jeans everywhere. Seeing them in stores everywhere and finally being able to try them for myself was a bliss and I'm never going back to tight fits ever again.

6:02 adding in a small pop of color via your kicks works because it follows color theory of a "rule" called 60/30/10. 60% should be your dominant color, 30% your secondary color or texture, and 10% should be an accent color! Great for paintings/drawing, decorating a room, or in this case, outfits!

I went to Uniqlo and bought one of those wide fit parachute cargo pants from your recommendation on another video and I defo love those pants. I mainly rocking on tailor fit sweats and skinny jeans but finding myself getting more oversize cloths. Love the versatility on those uniqlo pants but first mistake was when trying out the pants in the fitting room, I was wearing an oversize essential sweats and it definitely doesn't look right. But tried a slimmer t-shirt at home and it transform the look straightway base on your advice.

Cinches are GREAT. With a bulky high-top like AF1, Adidas Forum 84 or Reebok Pump Omnizone 2, not fully tightening it on baggies with a slight taper can be cool too, has a relaxed and even flow to it. I like letting it hang over shoes, but for me, nothing beats big bulky high tops with pants that show them off nicely. I'll never become a proper tailor, way too much for me, but little tricks like adding singes etc. seem manageable enough, that really does open up possibilities. I have this idea for a very simple system that could look kinda cool too: Perforate and put metal rings all around the bottom below the ankles, lead string through that, done. No need to mess with the existing construction, just pull the string out when worn loose.

Bro I’m tryna rock the howl from howls moving castle type fit, shit tuff asf, practically what got me into caring about what clothes I wear. The one with the tight black high waist jeans and airy loose single button white shirt! Also been into the idea of suspenders lately, weirdly. Just like the idea of fat ass jeans and a tucked in shirt with suspenders the same color as the big ass jeans. Gives the jeans that bounce and looseness I want wear they can go around my waist loose without just falling down. I don’t have any fancy jeans, the baggy jeans are literally just from larger family members with styles I like, they’re just big, around the legs and waist. Which I like, so suspenders would help it not be so sunken at the waist and not have a belt to separate the top and jeans which is something I’d not like the look of given.

This were all over the place in the 90s and early 2000s. They were terrible then and they are terrible now. As a teen, I rocked baggy jeans with pride before I realized how terrible they looked and I cry a little when I see a kid (because it's only young kids the ones rocking it) dressed like this. I always think "In a few years, you will know".

Bro my friends are hating on me for tucking in my shirt. I’ve been tucking every shirt in lately cause I like bigger pants and wearing wide flannel so slimming it down works. I usually take off the flannel because it’s never cold in Tallahassee so I rock the big baggy jeans or boxy sweatpants with a tucked in shirt. A lot of the time I wear it around my waist with the big baggy jeans, cause that makes the top look even more slim and the pants even more baggy. On boxy pants I like getting that loose airy tuck with an oversized shirt and for big baggy jeans I like wearing a tighter higher cropped shirt or a standard tightly tucked in shirt. Anything wrong with what I’m doing? People hating on me for not just going baggy on baggy even though I’m short and sturdily build. I’m already build like a rectangle, I’m short but built thicker, baggy just makes me look even more like a rectangle.

i'm fine fit baggy cargo pants from the front but from the back the seat area tends to look droopy like there is a hanging diapers inside especially if the pants also have patch cargo style pockets on the back, is there a way to solve it other than covering it with the tail of your shirt? because I dislike the feel of sitting on the tail of my shirt

I usually get longer shorts, hoodies on sweaters. Try sizing down on the pants if possible. Usually baggier pants are 1.5 > inches wide.

love the video but MAAAAN u gotta look into a de-esser cus the S sounds pierce my ears

Whether pants look good is determined by the butt-fit. A good A-line silhouette and mid to highrigh waist is obligatory to achieve this. Check 1920's menswear. And wide-leg means slim-fit top. Never do double-wide. You can play a little to get a mirrored silhouette by exaggerating the the collar of a slim fit button-up or jacket. I think the balloon silhouette is not a good idea, cinching at the ankle looks weird, as if you use a cylist ankle clamp. If you need to protect a wide leg from bike chains, consider a slightly cropped one, with good black ankle boots, again not doule-wide: so boots with zipper, not laces, and no clunky sole. It can has a bit of a heel though.
