Thank you! What was Samsung thinking!! Not only is it an annoying design but there is no mention of this in the Samsung video tutorial or on the actual remote.

Yeah they tried to have the buttons do too much. Would have been much easier with one up and one down button.
There are other audio/remote problems on our tv even when we understand exactly how to use the buttons. This video was not helpful.

Are the batteries changed?
I unplugged my tv and plugged it back in and volume started working again. Thumbs up if that worked.

I still can’t get mine to work. When I tap, I’m still toggling between mute and one volume setting.🙄🤦🏽♀️😤😡

You have to carefully press it press up or down without pressing it flat. If you press it flat, it will mute the TV.

@@SmartPennyPincher Thanks, I tried that and the remote is garbage! It should not be that complicated. I have to use an old Samsung remote from another television. Then I have to remember to take that remote back to a room upstairs.
That's what brought me here in this place. Very annoying
