I have been working on varials for about 2-3 weeks, and after watching this video I went out for a couple hours and ended up landing 4 of them. The tip that did it was to kick in the direction my toes are pointed. Thank you!!

I've learned varial flips, then lost them, then got them back again, and now I've lost them again. I think im going to re-learn them with this video. a lot of other videos I've seen doesn't explain how to do it that much

Omg dude, this is my first ever vid i am watching of u and u make soooo much sense, its actually crazy how much more i understand now, wut i was doing wrong is prob kickfliping like a normal kickflip and wut tht did is my front foot didnt hit the board so when i attempt it my board just went flying cause my fromt foot didnt touch it, it went to much off to the side, i now understand y, im so definitely subbing, u r the best teacher, u deserve much more, keep it up!

I just went straight into trying to tre flip instead of varials and I’m learning to get the rotation down

i was doing the wrong things, like: putting my front foot to far to the tail ans shit but i accually think im going to land varial flips tomorrow bc of this vid. thanks bro!

I literally landed one while watchijg this video 💀

My varial equation is 1. Pop goddamnit 2. Slightly harder than usual kickflip from regular kickflip position 3. Slightly softer than usual backfoot scoop. Pop, flip, then scoop, for me it only works in that order. I can land 3 of these in a row but when I do them moving, I die. What is the secret to landing them rolling? I can land a rolling switch heelflip but can't land a regular rolling varial!

The real secret to a varial flip is to do the entire trick with your front foot. This makes the board flip and move infront of you , kind of like a dolphin/dragon flip . Your backfoot should just be used to pop the trick.

Personally I learned to Varial Kickflip before Kickflips. The range of motion is much easier to commit and jump onto compared to the Kickflip.
