also, need to reject the recommended diet proposed by the gov. Ever since they've done that, we've seen a rise is all kinds of problems. Anything processed is NOT good for you. Carbs in general are NOT good for you. you do NOT need fiber. Literally everything they taught us benefits the food corps, and is detrimental to our health. Our staples are red meat with it's fat, poultry, eggs and fish. There are no exceptions to this and you do not need to eat anything at all other than that. History has shown this time and time again, meanwhile people will argue wanting to believe what they were taught without doing any research or testing.

I don't even go to my medical dr. any more for lab work. I know the labs I want to keep an eye on. I use an independent lab and keep him out of the picture, now that I've learned the pharmaceutical companies are the one that determine what "normal" blood lab results are.. It's a conflict of interest that I'm not willing to adhere to any longer. They keep setting the blood labs with short, narrow windows so they can get more people doped up, slowed down, or hopped up on their money racket toxic substances. I still believe that the majority of prescription meds are about 10% medications and 90% fillers, stabilizers and other chemicals not known to us. Most patients do not know they have the right to refuse prescription drugs and ask their medical doctors for alternative and complimentary supplements and treatments that do work. You can refuse to allow your doctor's office to take your BP (since none of them do it correctly any more). The way they take BPs in an office defies consistency which is why you should montior your own BP at home. Bring your cuff from home and insist the doctor use it verses their's. Watch what the response will be. It's always the same. Oh that brand isn't accurate. Like they know the accuracy of every brand of BP monitor. I was even told my doctor it wasn't necessary for me to monitor my fasting blood sugars at home, even though he diagnosed me with metabolic syndrome and diabetes runs in my family. He told home glucose meters are unreliable???? What???? It that's true then we are being scammed by every glucose monitor company that has products in every Walmart, CVS, Walgreens and mutual drug store.

This will be the 2nd time this year that I got bloodwork without a doctor ordering it. I was chastised last week for declining a shot for arthritis pain. I've had a couple quite high BP readings in the past few years, tho I could easily see it wasn't taken even close to correctly, like shivering cold, animated chatting, moving, cuff so tight it became quite painful. So I have been living with an underlying concern tho home readings were OK. Go to a new doc, nurse sees a high reading, I complain about the tight cuff, she loosens the cuff and raises my elbow to heart level: 123/78!! I will refuse further in-office BP, just carry recent home readings. 👍

Absolutely. Depending on what the root cause is, pain medication may be able to break the pain cycle. Sometimes steroids, short term can reduce swelling along the spine. Extreme spinal pain can be a serious issue. I collapsed in a store with pain that was in the thoracic area. I have scoliosis and a lot of back pain, even with opiate meds. When I collapsed, they thought it was a heart attack… turns out I had a tumor growing inside my spinal column, eating away my vertebrae. I had been diagnosed with many spine related things, turns out I had cancer as well….

I agree with what he's saying and also with these comments. I live with chronic pain from Ehlers-Dallas syndrome. I take good care of myself and follow my doctor suggestions but I still need pain meds. Sometimes I think doctors can't understand what it's like if they haven't had pain themselves. This patient obviously isn't interested in building her strength and wellness back and I would understand if this doctor wanted to send her to a different physician, but if someone is willing to do what they can at home I think they certainly deserve pain medication. And maybe the unwilling deserve it as well, although they will have a worse quality of life and die sooner but if that's their choice well that's their choice. The doctor has choice too.

I am a disabled veteran and the VA has withheld medical care for severe chronic pain and fatigue for decades. First they refused to treat it; then said that it doesn't exist since there's no treatment plan. We are talking about so much pain I was hospitalized in the 2000s. I had to figure it out on my own. Basically, my best hypothesis is that "chronic multi symptom disease", or GWI, is actually myofascial pain syndrome and a chronic fatigue syndrome that occurs because of some dysfunction in the ampk signaling pathway. I figured out how to constantly grow new mitochondria in skeletal muscles (not so much brain, but suspect that is serotonin related). Chronic fatigue mostly mitigated. Acute fatigue always triggered by ampk activation, so I try to keep it deactivated unless specifically targeting it. Pain.. the pain in your fascia is easily differentiated because you will have strings of knots along your muscles where fascia adheres to muscle. Some of the muscle fiber will get stuck together in these taught bands. It doesn't work to simply massage this out by itself. You need to train your fascial and muscular system most days of the week; start small and work up. I have experimented with mist kinds of training in past decade. The best things I found were kettlebells (girevoy style, not hardstyle), Olympic lifts, and swinging maces. It's that variable force curve. Your entire fascial system can be rebuilt in about a year. I swear to God, I am sitting here wondering how this applies to others, and all I see are doctors telling people to do the opposite of what actually worked for me. I never would have discovered this had I not been the victim of criminal medical neglect.

  • @noosphericaltarzan

    @noosphericaltarzan

    Ай бұрын

My pain comes from the fascia. Keto is mostly a fad diet but has some applications to certain health problems (not mine and not for most people). Honestly, I manage the pain quite well now. If you have myofascial pain syndrome (and you may well have it if you got a throw away diagnosis like fibro or whatever), then ironically the thing you need to do is -- very gradually -- increase activity levels until you can train sport. The fascia has to be trained almost every day to keep it from cramping up and creating adhesions. The chronic fatigue happens because of mitochondrial loss in brain and skeletal muscle. You can increase it in skeletal muscle by training sustained in a low heart rate (about 60-70% of you max heart rate, though the best adaptations can happen between 70-75% accompanied with some structural and systemic fatigue you must learn to manage). I am pretty athletic now. Actually, my main problem at this point is that it turned out I was predisposed to GWI (the pain and fatigue) because I was born with a rare primary immune deficiency. When VA hospital found out, they intercepted outside medications and changed one to try to poison me to get out of paying for IVIG infusions. Duke University saved my life from them. Government refuses to prosecute or allow me to just get real health insurance. Now I have zero healthcare because VA cuts me off everywhere. Duke provides infusions almost as a charity since VA only pays 2k out of 10k per infusion, and is trying to figure out how to get me a doctor. I was getting trauma care from a charity but the grant runs out. Senator Tillis knows all of this and refuses to do anything about it.

The root cause of the problem is sentience, specifically phenomenal binding and nociception mediated by negative valences of consciousness. (essentially, biological evolution is the root cause of the problem). Nociception could be mediated by a somatosensory pressure sensitivity in anything older than a toddler, completely devoid of any negative valence, with no mortal risk from missing any damage cues. But the evolutionary process, since it is not a design spec, could never have produced relatively complex multicellular organisms without pain; the ability to respond to a non-valenced pressure-sensitivity could not evolve on its own because it requires metacognition / linguistic expression of abstractions on sensory experience. Those are far downstream from early common ancestors. The only coherent response to the sentient predicament is to stop procreating, end predation in the biosphere, and replace all natural nociceptive pathways that remain with painless ones. Humans will never learn this at sufficient scale to obviate these symptoms because there is no fitness payoff for doing so. Humans, like all life, are addicted to fitness payoffs. Humans have an additional layer of delusion which cripples their capacity to address this problem coherently. Prediction: 99.9% of interlocutors who read this will respond one of three ways: 1) ad hominem/argue the arguer 2) appeal to mythology and cope as justification for continued procreation/pain/suffering/death; or 3) abandon epistemology entirely.

It's worse than that. The mental health crisis which has 10s of millions strung out on prescription psych meds still has not been addressed by the medical community. In the past 60 years you had 100s of millions of violent alcohol related crimes, including the abuse of 10s of millions of children, all primary causes of PTSD and other stress disorders that sent 10s of millions in search of a alternative recreational (stress relief) substance. When the alcoholic and codependent medical community joined with the alcoholic and codependent lawmakers and enforcers to ensure their own recreational drug of choice had a monopoly over the market, even knowing the mass trauma is was causing, they turned a billions of dollars valid business - cannabis, the only known competitor to alcohol - over to ruthless Mexican cartels which became the foundation of their empires. They are now poisoning our people with real poisons instead of providing stress medicine - recreational cannabis - to the traumatized masses. The culpability the medical community has in multiplying mental health patients by recommending enforcing alcohol - their own drug of choice I remind you - as the only recreational substance the people have to choose, then the negligence in sitting back for 60 years watching all the death, disease, destruction, deficit, violence and sexual perversion, and have the audacity to claim " cannabis is the gateway," is enormous. Of course, they will never admit it, nor thst cannabis was the number one recreational substance the victims of those alcohol related crimes were choosing for stress relief, thus medicine to treat symptoms the drug of choice of the medical community caused. Yes, the mental health crisis is greater than the pain crisis because the alcoholics and codependents won't admit their culpability, nor that cannabis is a valid recreational (stress relieving, thus medicina) substance, but they will go on drinking alcohol as a poor example to the people.

I don't even know how I came across this video but I did. Let me tell you a story Dr. Story. In 2003 I had a pain that started behind my knee my doctor suggested I go see an orthopedic doctor. He said I needed to start pyhsical therapy. The pain got progressively worse with therapy. This orthopedic doctor wouldn't give me any other type of medication besides arthritis medicine. He did not give me an MRI and as I continued to work it hurt to stand it got so bad I was crying the pain was so bad. When I asked him to take me off work he would not until I had a yelling match with him in his office. He suggested light duty which there was none for my case because it wasn't a workman's comp case. He finally took me off work the pain got so bad I could not stand for more than 10 minutes without being in such stabbing pain down my leg I had to yell in pain for hours. I couldn't sit and the only way I could exist was lsying on my stomach. The pain was so excruciating if I had to stand in line to get medication for 20 minutes I was about to go out of my mind. Finally after months of this this orthopedic doctor suggested surgery when I said yes the orthopedic surgeon scheduled an MRI I found out I had a herniated disc and the pain was my nerve hitting my spinsl column. He wanted to know why the doctor had only prescribed arthritis medication. I had no idea but was in severe pain for months. Nothing would help until my wonderful orthopedic surgeon used a new technique called microdiscectomy on my L5S1. I have never had another issue again. I would say doctor that you don't know pain until you have the pain your patients have, have a little more compassion and not everything is treated with a pill and if they need a pill maybe they need the right one. Show some humility too we are also screwed by doctors who think they know it all when they don't.

They didn't do anything for me, but last year, I watched an interview with a guy called Clive De Carle. Then a little over a year ago I suffered a lumbar injury from repetitive practice. I never got diagnostics, but knew the dermatome patterns indicated L5-S1 disk herniations. Started self care performing all the normal exercises with use of a few modalities. Received some relief, but a year later was still suffering with radiculopathy. Then I subscribed to a rehab course that included as a first step reading the book “The Way Out” by Alan Gordon. His great research and treatment through what he terms as “Pain Reprocessing Therapy” focused on Neuropathic/Psychogenic pain which was the key to my recovery. Within 48 hours of reading the book and beginning some PRT exercises reduced my pain from a 8-9 to a 1-2.

Dr. Story, you have hit the nail on the head. Being 62 and recently gaining 20 lbs., I began having knee pain AGAIN. I know without a doubt it's because I had gained weight and needed to make my health a priority and lose this weight. Doctors are so eager to get patients through their office (because this is what healthcare has mandated) that they would rather prescribe a medication than be honest with their patients. I applaud you for being honest with this patient and not giving a medication as a first resort.

Symptoms include pain, stiffness, redness, warmth, swelling, and decreased range of motion. In some types of arthritis, other organs are also affected. There are over 100 types of arthritis.. Arthritis is also the result of wear and tear on one's body, and those of us who worked in the construction field know all too well about damage resulting from work induced wear and tear.. Those that built this country are damaged and they want us to exercise..? lol.. What happens when stress is applied to worn parts..? Pain happens..

Hello, thank you for your integrity. I don't know how young or old your patient is, but I can speak for myself at the age of 60, sometimes I feel "too old" to go through the long and often painstaking activity or exercise to get me through to a healthier body thus less pain... and a "magic pill" at my stage in life, with over a decade of incredibly severe pain and countless misdiagnoses/undiagnoses already under my belt, it's seriously just "not worth it" to suffer any more than I already have. I can only speak to my personal situation and no one else's. You are most definitely correct and I applaud you for fighting back to sincerely help your patients and to stand by the "do no harm" ethic. It's so good and genuinely relieving to hear your standard of care. I just thought to add my 2 cents as someone who is so tired and has been let down too often to mention by the medical establishment who have already robbed me of 12 years... I missed my whole 50's, stolen from me, and now at 60 I'd likely say yes to a "magic pill" too... sad, but I'd be saying yes with the full knowledge of just how deeply the practices of pharmaceutical companies have impacted us all over the past 50+ years, so it would be an informed decision on my part. Maybe your patient is like me, tired, depleted, unrecognizable to her own self, not seeing much ahead of her anyway. If I were 25 or 35 even maybe 45, then it could be different for me, but so much changes in our perception of what matters as we reach our middle to later years. May GOD bless you to keep fighting and carrying good standards even if some of us are just too depleted to keep fighting. With respect, Gabriella.

I was diagnosed with stage 3 Avascular Necrosis of my left femur head when I was 32 years old. I am 56 now. Off and on I have used morphine AS PRESCRIBED since my diagnosis to buy time to get a hip replacement. My surgeon told me that usually people can get only 2 hip replacements in a lifetime, and almost always for the third they have to use cadaver donor bone if its even possible. I finally got to the point to where I wanted to get the hip replacement done and had two strokes, now my heart rate lives in the low 40's from damage from the strokes and for this it became very dangerous to undergo being put to sleep to have surgery. Ive been walking on a dead and decomposing hip joint over 20 years and now I am stuck with it for the rest of my life. Luckily I am the rare type that doesnt get HIGH off of morphine and this have only taken just enough to knock down the pain enough to deal with it so I can walk. The pain has gotten extreme but I refuse to up the dosage and dont abuse my medication in any way. Yet I am still looked down on like I am a junkie, and something akin to trash on the bottom of a shoe. I wish and pray that every pain management Dr has to go through what their patients do so they understand the challenges of being a helpless victim to chronic pain and then be subjected to being treated and looked at as trash.

I was horrified on how many dangerous side effects of pharmaceutical drugs. I was turned off by how the pharmaceutical companies control chain pharmacies and pharmacy colleges. There was no holistic options. Western medicine, with the help of big pharma, is all about surgery and drugs. In 2016, I had a horrific car accident. I was in a lot of pain, especially my back. I only took ibepfren for 3 weeks, no pain killers. I stretched, walked and swam. I did this for months. Fortunately, my pain went away, and I have no pain or back pain today. Back surgery, I believe, is too ify. I did it with out prescribed drugs.

Doctors, even functional medicine docs need to start looking at what medications the patient is taking. Some doctors now believe that blood pressure meds can cause pain, dementia, and even diabetes. Unfortunately, those docs are usually on youtube. The mainstream medical docs, the ones who just repeat what they are taught in school and lack any kind of critical thinking, would never think of switching out someone's meds EVEN THOUGH, they know that they can pose a whole host of issues. Their lame response to this would be something like..."oh, that only occurs in 5% of the population". If a surgery goes wrong, that surgeon comes under scrutiny, and he should, but with all other health issues, no one thinks that their doctor mismanaged their pain meds.

If the patient is in severe pain and not able to get any relief and/or has trouble sleeping because of it, it would seem reasonable to do both -- work on the long term plan, but also use something in the short term (even if only intermittently) to offer some symptom relief. Maybe it's prescription, maybe it's an over-the-counter medicine, or maybe it's some sort of herb(s) or supplement(s). Having been stuck in the medical mill with no progress from standard allopathic medicine or integrative/functional medicine for some chronic issues, I've learned to take whatever help I can from wherever I can get it. Neither side is all good or all bad. Both have strengths and weaknesses.

I also have spinal stenosis and building L3,,4,5… and SI joint …. Drs say to stay away from chiropractors …. I’m at my wits end I may just try !!!!

Good quality curcumin supplement is a must for arthritis patients. Powerful anti inflammatory and analgesic. In addition take Cod liver oil, boswellia, vitamin K2, and avoid added sugar.

This is where so many people fell down in 2021. They were not prepared to step back and think about what they were doing. Now millions of previously healthy people are sick or dead. Always think, step back, ponder, weigh up the opportunities and downsides.

I wasn't let down by the government, they did what I expected, I knew they were up to no good. I was let down by my fellow citizens that fell for it and took no steps to research or question the narrative or the product they got injected with...

@@sabastian4858 I agree. It was probably fear driven in 2020/21. But sadly I now know many people who have been seriously injured or killed by it. Why? Because they didn't think, they just trusted fat cat politicians and businessmen. Very sad.

81 y/o and I use a PEMF device at night. I do pool therapy a couple times a week. Generally just try to MOVE. Dogs keep me busy! A friend of mine uses red light therapy. I have an Rx for Celebrex as needed. Also taking low dose naltrexone (LDN). If I become incapacitated toward the end, just shoot the juice to me, Bruce!

This is true. The person in the video didn’t have your pain. It was an ache. The question is, “Should she be given the same dosage and medication that you would take?”

We've been conditioned, by the pharmaceutical industry, with doctors as their sales representatives, to believe that we need medication for pain when in fact our bodies can heal themselves if we make the right choices. I've had incredible success with an Osteopath for back pain, lost 30 lbs, and at the age of 60 I'm fitter, healthier, more energetic, and happier than I've ever been.

There is no such word as "irregardless" . I had a hip replacement at 50 , that was the only solution to the pain I endured for the 2 years I had to wait to get it .

I understand where you are coming from, but i have a different and new perspective after an injury i recieved a few years ago. I was lucky and i am around 90% healed now. But for about 2 months the pain was insane, and i totally understand why people will turn to anything for relief. When pain is unbearable, its literally unbearable. You will do anything just for a short break or slight reduction. I personally rotated off pharma pain meds after about 6 weeks because i was getting some growing addiction issues with them. ( i replaced them with more natural plant treatments, if you know what i mean ) but i had to take something. And i understand why people go to pain meds now. Slightly off topic...One unexpected thing i found is how incredibly draining it can be when you cant sleep from severe pain. It kind of messes your mind and emotions up. It like another torment on top of the torment from the pain. The natural treatment i used was very helpful for this, and didnt make me as much as a zombie as the pharmas. And luckily it legal for medicinal purposes where i lived at that time. Kind of a godsend. I did end up eating a lot of junk food as a result though at the time 😂 which definatly was not healthy.
