I really like how this video is shot. You’re walking around and doing stuff while you talk which makes it feel like I’m hanging out with you in the apartment. So much more interesting than those traditional sit-down videos. Also love how David is making little commets from behind the camera!

Instead of London, why not Brighton? It's an hour away from London by train, you have the sea, a very alternative and culture atmosphere, and it's where most of youtubers are! It's an amazing city!

Been im Berlin from 6 years, and honestly right now Berlin it's a shit hole, everything is too overprocessed, there's no space for more people, jobs are rarely hard to get and people now its totally rude and fucking fake because of the new youngsters, Berlin it's over.

As a Brit, I would move to Tokyo over London any day of the week. London is AWFUL right now: Brexit is supposed to happen in March 2019, it’s causing loads of economic and social issues in the uk and London is no exception. I am Scottish and I need to make the choice between moving to London or Berlin once my work contract is over, and I have chosen to move to Berlin. I couldn’t imagine moving to London right now, but moving in March 2019 might be damn near impossible for you. Good luck x

Every time I go there it feels like magic, and every time I leave if feel like I’m leaving a little bit of my heart behind. I feel like people romanticize Tokyo too much, just because I used to do the same thing. And because now, that I have been actually living and working in Tokyo for some time, I have developed a whole new perspective. A perspective you can only develop by actually living here, and NOT by staying here for a week or two. Of course it’s perfect when you visit it as a tourist, everyone is nice and polite and trying their best to present their country in the best possible light. And that’s all fine and natural really, of course you’d want a guest to enjoy their time while visiting your home. But that’s far from what Tokyo is actually like. Anyways, thank you as always, a lovely video! And wish you the best on your new adventure. :)

It's kindof like inviting people into your home. If they come to visit it's nice, but if they don't want to leave, they are overstepping their boundiaries. Japan will only remain Japan if it's for Japanese. Everyone else is an outsider. They are allowed to make that choice for themselves.

  • @MrsPunzish

You guys are too cool for London! As a jaded Brit, London is way overrated and expensive. For me it is only for the super wealthy or the starry eyed 18 year old who is happy to live in terrible accommodation. Sorry to be a cynic, but I can only handle London for the day, I find it so stressful. I'm from Oxford which is a beautiful small city (though costs are ridiculous there too). I'm tempted to move to the north of England nowadays where it's cheaper and people are friendlier anyway!

I currently am in London, went to Oxford last week, I enjoyed so so much, such a beautiful place to live. I found it quite crowded though with students and tourists, more than I remember a good 5 years ago the first time I visited! I agree that Britain has many great places outside of London

@@emmaphilo4049 so glad to hear you enjoyed Oxford! What was your favourite thing? Are you a Harry Potter fan? Yes you're so right, I feel it has changed so much in recent years. Sadly some of my favourite independsnt shops and restaurants have gone out of business or are on the verge of collapse. Such a shame that the local council seems to want Oxford to be as generic as many other High Sts when its charm is in its quirkiness! Did you go inside the covered market? I love it in there. I think the Ben's Cookies in there was the first one ever to open! Nom. Also there are some great places to eat and go out on Cowley Road, which is the more edgy (read: poor lol) side of town. I love the contrast between the intellectual and the rebellious in the city! Jericho is also lovely.

@@ameliel8792 maybe you could tell by my profile pic, but my thing is Tolkien, so I went to the exhibition at the Weston, it was GREAT. Yes I did feel the high street was very generic, like a little piece of London and to be honest I was so surprised at the crowd. But it still felt much more relaxed and it is such a beautiful place. I did enjoyed the covered market :) Especially a little shop called Fresh. I must visit the places you are talking about next time!!!! Thanks for telling me!!!

Did you end up moving up north? I find London full on even after a day or two. But I am used to living in Sheffield! X

I was going to comment on your furniture, but you answered it. I remember you once said that you only buy things that you could fit in your car, that way you never required movers. And then I thought of all your furniture you have now, were you going to leave that behind and really start fresh, but you answered it that you will be bringing it along. Exciting time for the both of you.

Eeeek, so exciting! Thank you for breaking it down as I was very curious when you announced your move to London. Why did you move away from there in the first place? My favorite London based series is the ever popular Sherlock :)

I lived in London in the 80’s and I miss it every day. I now live in Canada. My favourite movie is Mike Leigh’s “High Hopes”. It might be difficult to find, though.

Välkomna tillbaka! Jag har flyttat från och tillbaka till London 7 gånger nu, hahaha. Och en av mina favorit London filmer är Happy Go Lucky - en rolig film, perfekt för Söndag eftermiddag.

It's indeed so different for everybody. I moved here in 2011 after falling in love with the city in 2009. We stayed here until 2014 until I was offered a job in another country, but I could not bear it without Berlin, and in 2016 we moved back. I really feel at home here. Everybody is different. But I am happy for you moving back to London, if you love it.

I find it so interesting, since I moved to Berlin two years ago I've been love-love-loving it here! But I can definitely see what your "issue" is with the city, I always say it gets you to the ground when you jump too high, for sure :D All the best for London! Very excited for what's to come :)
