Why we left USA..our story | Malayalam
Ойын-сауық
Why did we leave USA? Why did we move to Australia? I shed some light on our immigration story.
Note: As of filming this video, there is an estimated 15yr+ wait time for getting a green card for somebody on H1B visa of India origin (born in India) when the green card application is filed under the EB2/EB3 category, which is applicable for a vast majority of such applicants. It is a much shorter wait time when filed under EB1 category.

Just happened to watch your videos.. nice and thanks... I am from Kottayam, IN and I used to live/work in the UK for almost a decade...During the past two decades; I had the golden opportunity to travel/stay across Europe, the USA, NZ, and many other countries..... Just made a simple decision to move to Australia with and we came down under with family in 2009... Although I miss England very much; Australia is a great place to live and brought up kids...As we all know every country has its own pros and cons depending on your personal circumstances... Thank you Ankitha once again...

Compared to other countries, America has a terrible healthcare system to the point where Americans lose homes due to medical debts.
Good and well thought decision before times pass by :)

In the USA, permanent residents (PRs) get a visa stamped on their Indian or other foreign passports and must also carry a Permanent Resident ID Card, also known as a ‘green’ card. This is similar to the system in many countries such as South Africa etc. In Australia, Permanent Residents (PRs) do not have any visa stamped in their passports as Australia has had an electronic visa system for years now. So your PR visa is electronically linked to your passport on the Dept of Home Affairs (DHA) system and can be verified by any employer using VEVO. Hope this helps you understand that it is the same visa in both Australia and the US i.e., PR = Permanent Residency
Yes..This is a right decision ...now a dayss many people migrating to Australia ..so don't feel bad about it..as a native of Kannur ..I like your narration.

Once you are accustomed to North American culture, Canada is also a viable option as is close by and culturally very similar and accessible to US once you get your Canadian citizenship. Vancouver is also a great city and has lots of opportunities in IT, HR and finance.

I live in Australia on bridging visa to pr. I still love to go America as my childhood dreams and settle. (only my personal preference may be not recommended for everyone who want to migrate abroad)As you said America is not a bad country , moreover with green card much easy in America, guns, marijuana are legal in some states in us. Apparently, 1.As a pr holder in Australia they can unlimited hours, spouse doesn't matter. Even if you are jobless simultaneously as an Australian citizen government do financial support and when you have new born kids still support also. 2. Total stay after 4 years in Australia after pr can apply citizen ship, can get passport as well. Australia offers more than 140 countries no visa free arrival visa system with both third and first world countries including u.s. 3. Permanent residents can access Medicare which absolutely free. You need money only for medicines. 4. Australia also kinda scrutinising migration process by increasing migration points.( From 65 to 85 points.) 5. If you are in Australia can see atleast some hometown friends or relatives either which is great. Can fly to back home with budget airlines when ever you want. No huge time difference.good climate and so on. This is some of the greatest things in Australia making one of the best liveable country in the world. To ankitha from my view your spouse and you had a appreciable backup plan as us rules are not constant for non immigrants. It is not at all a bad decision, I can understand the feeling when leaving a country where love to stay. I came to Australia 6 years back when I was 19 year old. Am only the youngest one in my hometown or in Kerala Australia student also at that time, with no one contacts or relatives in Australia and ofcourse first time ever in my life abroad. I haven't visited my parents until now. Everyone have different story, difficulties I respect. Well, I think you have time now you are lucky. enjoy your life as much.things happen good and bad I n all of life that's why we still surviving. Wishing you for stay healthy and happy and many more hurdles to overcome easily. Regards Vignesh, New South Wales.

for PR - Is there any mandate to clear the outstanding existing bank loans before leaving India or do we have the flexibility to repay back the loans after migrating.
Always keep narration crisp and to the point. This one too much elongated. Usually ur videos are good. Make video from 10 to 15 minutes duration. More people will then watch from beginning to end.

Hi Ankitha, Hi from Sydney. U obviously made a good choice of moving to Australia!! Living in Australia for more than 10 years & having visited US, I can guarantee that u made an excellent choice. Am ur subscriber from Sydney. U don’t need medical insurance here, u have plenty of holiday times, u don’t need to pay house taxes, ur kid doesn’t need to pay huge Uni academic fees when grow up. There are lot of advantages living in Australia when compared to U.S. Moreover u will get ur citizenship after 4 yrs of PR and then u can fly everywhere with no visas as well. Australia is truly the best country to live . Enjoy and all the very best
