Allahumma Ameen. First and foremost I’d say learn the Arabic alphabet, let your tongue, throat, teeth, and different parts of your mouth really be engaged with the different letters as each one is unique pronunciation wise. Once you master that and adapt to it which honestly might take a while or might go really easy for you, listen to a wide variety of reciters. See which one you feel like has a good “rhythm” and a nice feel to you. Write their names down. Then dedicate a specific time (after fajr and before sleeping is what’s worked for me) learn x amount following the rulings with Tajweed. Practice what you've memorized in your prayers and maybe even go a step further and learn the tafseer of what you've learnt to really feel the connection as every ayah has its purpose. Don’t overwhelm yourself to where you don’t wanna do it anymore. Small amount, consistency, and dedication. Your Lord knows, ask for His help in your duas, and ask your parents to make dua for you. Those who struggle to read the Quran get double the reward. May Allah SWT make it easy for you and all of us. Allahumma Ameen

I'm happy Sheik Omar declared Jollof rice a food of the ummah. All the countries in the Jollof rice competition are either majority Muslim countries or with large Muslim population. So from this day make sure Jollof rice is added to the menus in Islamic events alongside the samosas, Khebabs, onion Bhajis, Bhiryani and Pilau rice.
