Will be a very good interview series with this guy. He seems incredibly smart on longevity matters. FYI all: NOVOS has a great blog on their website. There is a new post about every 1.5 weeks and they have been posting since 2020.

Another interesting interview, thank you! If the opportunity for follow up/questioning were to arise, I would be curious to hear more about crystallinity/stability issues. For example, is he simply referring to shelf life, or is he implying something about effects on clinical efficacy? The supplements industry is rife with deception and marketing-type BS centering on, for example, unproven but heavily-promoted counter-ion effects as the basis for choosing a brand or for charging more for salts of some supplement molecule which absolutely go on to dissolve and dissociate in-vivo anyway...this is a sadly prevalent practice and point of exploitation.

  • @ModernHealthspan

Hi D S, thanks for the question. Drs Baur and Houtkooper (separately) have said that NMNH is more effective at raising NAD however Dr Houtkeeper also said it was very difficult to make. I am also not aware of many in vivo studies that have tried it, even in mice. I do not think it is ready as a human supplement.

Why did you found NOVOS? It is not the best question. Better simply ask Dr. Zemel about NOVOS and he will explain why and other matters. Just suggesting for better Socratic questioning.

Hi Paul, thanks for the comment. My understanding of his answer and the other research I have done is that crystalline structure refers to the powdered NMN and its stability when being transported. I would agree, once it is dissolved the crystal structure is lost.

Hi Cactus, thanks for your comment. I am not clear why you pick on NMN as lacking good scientific studies. There are mice and some human studies showing improvements in healthspan and biomarkers. This is the same as many of the other natural substances like CaAGK, Fisetin etc. It is up to you to decide if you think that the data is compelling enough.

Yes, but remember cactus...everyone is selling NMN, not just NOVOS. I want to like them and may order core soon, but will say at least they are trying to justify and quantify usage through data, research, etc. Now, go on eBay or Amazon if you want some sketchy suppliers probably with little or no NMN.

@@ModernHealthspan pleasantly surprised that there have been a couple recent positive studies, but I don’t think we’re there yet. Plenty of companies in this field just out to make a buck selling snake oil. Hard to tell who’s legit. I remain positive about Novos, and use their Core product.

@@cactuscanine3531 You should do the experiment yourself. Stop taking Core, and take their NMN Boost for a while. See if you see a difference. I've been taking both for about a month now and have noticed a huge difference in my daily energy and attention power (coming from someone who doesn't normally like supplements). The only downside I see to the Core/Boost products is that they keep the dosages on the low side. I would prefer the same products but with higher dosages in some of the components.

More "same old" from a guy who's obviously a Sinclair wannabe, at least in the business arena. Newsflash: there are at least a dozen companies doing exactly the same thing!
