Crossover event of the century! It's super exciting to see one of my all time favorite bands on this channel! Ace Edit, now that I've heard the whole episode: Alex's description of how he processes the guitars through the modular has helped me pick out *tons* more guitar stuff in their recent albums that I had never noticed before. They blend everything (everything) together so masterfully that it's very difficult to tell sometimes where the electronics end and the organic elements begin. I've got a whole new appreciation for this band that I already loved very intensely. A really wonderful episode, Mr. Mylar!

I’m giving a 👍 for Signal Sounds. Great friendly service and also a great shop to visit if you’re in Glasgow - lots of old synths you can look at plus lots of new synths you can play with.

As well as very electronic leaning bands, I reckon most people who are focused on pretty heavy electronic music that are looking for bands they might like would get on well at the extreme end of the spectrum too. Noise, Industrial, Doom, Stoner etc. Because it's all about the texture, mood, groove, and often sheer sound pressure. More recently, thinking of things like Boris - Pink, Earth - Angels of Darkness, Demons of Light I&II, Swans, Sunn o))), Sleep. Then older things, going back to Sonic Youth, My Bloody Valentine, Cocteau Twins, DAF and so many others.

@@mylarmelodiesNo worries. There's some weird and wonderful music about in the UK scene too. Freak / psych folk can be great. Cornwall's own Daisy Rickman's album Donsya a'n Loryow is great. Stoner metal albums like Sleep - Dopesmoker. Electric Wizard - Dopethrone is very cool. Earth. Then psych music can be interesting, like Hermanos Gutiérrez - Sonido Cósmico. a supremely funky and hypnotic psychedelic guitar duo. The tone / texture is really nice and those brothers lock so well into a groove together. If you like Sunn 0))) and Swans, there's an incredible folk band from Dublin called Lankum that are one of the best around. Drones and tragi-doom folk. Melvins are great too. Viagra Boys are pretty unhinged too. They're series of Shrimp Session videos, like #3 are awesome performances, and videos like 16 Wheeler Horse, which remind me of Alan Vega's Suicide.
